T. Boehm의 grand polonaise op.16에 대한 연구 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회에서 연주하였던 곡목 중에서 Theobald Boehm의 Grand Polonaise op. 16을 연구, 분석한 것이다. 분석에 앞서서 Boehm의 생애와 그가 고안한 Boehm식 Flute에 대해서 살펴보았다. Boehm의 Flute은 Tone Hole의 개발로 연주가 쉽고 특히 정확한 반음계적 음정연주가 가능해졌다. 악기의 재료도 나무로 제한되었던데 반해 금속 재료를 사용하였고 음량이 증대되었다. 악곡의 분석을 통해 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 단악장으로 된 T. Boehm의 Grand Polonaise op. 16은 서주부와 종결부를 가진 ABA 의 3부 형식으로 된 작품이다. 이 작품은 관계조로의 전조, 3박자, 리듬의 반복과 붓점 리듬 등의 Polonaise가 갖는 리듬적 특징들이 잘 구성되어 있다. 또 순차적인 상행, 하행 선율, 화음선을 뛰는 도약 선율, 규칙적인 프레이즈 구분, 동형 진행, 성부의 교차, 대조적인 셈여림의 배치, Ⅰ-Ⅴ위주의 기능 화성, 지속음의 사용, 주선율의 병진행, 옥타브 중복, 반음계적 음형의 연결구, 아르페지오 등의 연속사용으로 화려하고 기교적인 표현이 강조되며 Polonaise가 가진 음악적인 분위기를 잘 표현할 수 있는 작품이다. 본 논문에서는 그의 Grand Polonaise op. 16의 형식, 선율, 리듬, 화성, 조성, 셈여림 등의 음악적 소재에 관하여 분석함으로써 올바른 악곡 해석과 연주에 도움이 되고자 한다. ; This dissertation researches and analyzes Theobald Boehm s "Grand Polonaise Op. 16" from among the works played in my graduate recital. Before the analysis, the life of Theobald Boehm(1794-1881) and the Boehm s Flute which he created is discussed. Boehm s Flute was easy to play by the development of "Tone Holes" and most of all accurate chromatic intervals came possible. Previously, the material of the instrument has been limited to wood, but he used metal, so the volume was increased. The results from analyzing the "Grand Polonaise Op. 16" are as follow : It is composed of ternary (ABA ) form with an introduction and coda. It consists of one movement and modulates into related Keys and the classical Polonaise of 3/4 meter repetition of rhythmic patterns and dotted rhythms are well realized. Ascending and descending melody of stepwise motion, consonant skips, regular phrasing, sequential progression, exchange of voices, contrasted dynamics, functional harmony of tonic to dominant, pedal point, parallel motion of main melody, octave doubling, chromatic figuring in bridge passages and arpeggios are used continually. In this way, brilliant and artful expression was emphasized. The work well represents the Polonaise s musical atmosphere. This dissertation hopes to interpret Boehm s works correctly and to play them by analyzing musical substances like form, melody, rhythm, harmony, tonality and dynamics.
