유기체의 자기조직성 원리의 적용에 의한 환경디자인 모형사례연구

Abstract

이 논문은 자연의 유기적인 질서가 깨져 여러 불균형적인 현상을 보이는 지금의 상황을 해결하고 쾌적한 환경에 대한 인간의 욕구를 충족시키는 환경디자인의 역할의 중요성을 재고하면서, 그 디자인 전개에 있어서는 시대적으로 요구되는 새로운 패러다임을 갖고 접근해야만 한다는 당위성을 갖고 시작하였다. 또한 시대적 이슈가 되고 있는 유전자 복제에 관한 과학적 명제와 생명에 대한 본질을 되 집어 보고, 살아있는 생명체의 속성을 디자인에 적용하기 위한 접근방법을 찾아 새로운 정의 안에서 해석하려 했다. 인간과 자연은 하나로 공존 공생하는 관계로 보는 유기체적 세계관을 갖고 예술과 과학의 통합적 관점에 의한 사고를 바탕으로 한 환경디자인은 우리의 삶을 물질적 정신적으로 풍요롭게 하는 디자인이라 하겠다. 유기적 관점에 의한 환경디자인 연구는 건조환경에 유기체적 삶의 질서를 부여하는 일이며 인간과 자연, 건조환경을 합일시키는 일이다. 이처럼 새로운 패러다임을 갖고 미래지향성의 환경디자인 연구를 미래의 어린이를 위한 공간을 대상으로 한다는 것은 그 결과가 긍정적이고 미래지향적인 것으로 나타날 것이다. 이에 본 연구자는 유기적 관점의 디자인 원리에 의해 현재와 미래사회에 적합한 어린이의 문화와 예술의 장을 환경디자인 모형으로 제시하는데 그 목적을 두고 다음과 같은 과정으로 진행하였다. 첫째, 이론 연구로 자연을 포함한 살아있는 유기체 시스템의 특성과 자기조직성을 파악하고, 자기조직성을 볼 수 있는 유기체 시스템의 한 사례로 세포의 자기조직 과정을 고찰하였다. 유기체 시스템은 통합된 전체로서 변화하는 환경 속에서 스스로를 존속시키며, 그 과정에서 새로운 구조와 기능을 가진 존재로 진화하면서 스스로를 창조하고, 복합적이고 안정된 위계적 계층구조를 가지는 체계이다. 이러한 시스템을 가진 유기체의 자기조직성은 질서를 자율적으로 만들어 내는 현상이다. 둘째, 이처럼 성장 변이하면서 자기조직하는 유기체의 동적 원리를 건축에 적용한 사례를 조사하여 디자인 원리와 방법을 도출하였다. 유기체 유추에 의한 건축은 자연의 한 구성인자가 되어 자연과 완전하게 조화되어 공생하는 것을 추구한다. 셋째, 세포의 자기조직 과정의 여러 현상을 건축형태의 생성과정에 적용하고자 형태변형 방법을 고찰하고 조형 언어화하여 건축형태 생성을 위한 조형방법으로 실험하였다. 생명체의 자기조직 과정에 의한 건축형태의 생성은 건조환경을 하나의 생명력을 가진 유기체와 동일한 자기조직 시스템으로 유기체화하는 과정으로 본다. 그 과정에서 예술의 형식, 환경디자인 과정은 하나의 생명자체의 구성과 유사함을 확인하였다. 넷째, 유기체의 자기조직성에서 도출된 디자인 개념을 대상공간인 어린이 미술관에 적용하여 어린이의 예술적 감성과 창의성 계발에 관한 다양한 욕구를 수용하고 주변환경과 유기적으로 통합할 수 있는 유기적 환경디자인의 최종모델을 제시하였다. 성장 변이하면서 자기조직하는 유기체의 동적 원리에 의한 환경디자인 연구를 성장과 변이의 역동적 특성을 보이고 가장 창의적인 사고를 가진 어린이를 위한 공간을 대상으로 한다는 점은 자연과 인간 건조환경의 합일을 위한 시도였다. 이 연구의 결과로 미래의 변화에 대처하고 쾌적한 환경을 유지하기 위해서는 사용자와 지역의 특성에 맞는 디자인 원리가 적용되어져야 하고 자연과 인간, 건조환경이 하나의 시스템으로 서로 영향을 주고 받는 유기적인 관계성 안에서 이루어져야 한다는 것을 알았다. 따라서 유기체적 세계관을 배경으로 유기체의 속성을 적용한 환경디자인 연구는 미래사회에 인간과 공존하면서 진정한 아름다움과 쾌적함을 주는 디자인 방법이며, 유기체의 자기조직성에서 도출된 디자인 원리에 의한 디자인 연구는 미래의 디자인 패러다임으로 타당하다고 할 수 있다. ; This paper starts from the justification that the development of design should make an approach with a new paradigm, solving the present situation of various unbalanced phenomena with broken nature order and considering the importance of the role of environmental design. Also, this paper re-examines an scientifical proposition of reproduction and the essence of life and is intended to translate it within new definition by finding an approach for applying to design. Environmental design based on the idea that human and nature coexist by the integrating point of view of art and science. Study on environmental design by an organic point of view provides dry environment with an organic order of life, and it also unites human, nature and dry environment. Taking space for children as an object, study on environmental design with a new paradigm will have good results and prove future-oriented. Hereby, this study has a purpose to suggest the arena of children s culture and art appropriate for the present and future society by design principle of an organic point of view, and it is developed as follows. First, as theoretical study, this paper grasp the attributes of an organic system, and examines the process of self-organization of a cell as an example of an organic system. The organic system belongs to changing environment as the integrated whole, creates itself as the one with a new structure and function, and has an complex and secured hierarchial system. The self-organization of the organic body that has this system is a phenomenon that autonomously makes an order. Second, examining cases of applying the mobile principle of an organic body to architecture, this paper induces their design methods and principles. Third, to apply various phenomena in the process of the self-organization of a cell to architecture, this paper takes an experiment as a modeling way for creating an architectural form. The creation of an architectural form following the process of the self-organization is considered as the way of organizing the same system as an organic body that has a vitality. In the process, it is confirmed that the form of art and the process of environmental design are similar to the structure of life itself. Fourth, applying a design concept induced from the self-organization of an organic body to children s museum, this paper suggests a final model of organic environmental design that accepts various desires of artistic emotions and creativity development and can be organically united with surroundings. Taking space for children that have the most creative thinking, environmental design study is an attempt for the unity of human, nature and dry environment. As the results of this study, design principles that fit local and user characteristics should be applied to maintain fresh environment and cope with changes of the future, and dry environment should be made within organic relationship that influence each other as one system. Accordingly, environmental design study based on an organic point of view coexist with human in future society as a design method that gives beauty and freshness, and design study by the principle of self-principle will be appropriate for design paradigm of the future.
