현대한국창작춤에 나타난 즉흥성향 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 현대한국창작춤에 내재돼 있는 즉흥적 요소를 바탕으로 작품에 나타나는 즉흥적 움직임을 연구함으로써 무용창작 속에서 즉흥성의 중요성을 인식하고 현대한국창작춤에 나타난 즉흥성향의 특징을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 20세기 후반, 사회적 가치규범의 변화를 통해 나타난 새로운 예술형태의 요구는 예술가들에게 미적 경험에 대한 새로운 개척의 장을 열어주었다. 기존의 정형적 형식의 한계성에 도달한 모던댄스에 반발하여 자유로운 형식에 따라 인간 내면세계를 형상화하려는 실험적인 움직임으로 나타난 포스트 모던 댄스는, 기존의 무용 예술 개념에 근원적으로 도전함으로써 무용 영역을 확대하고 파격성과 실험성을 바탕으로 인간의 자유롭고 충동적인 움직임에 중점을 두었다. 우리나라에서는 1980년대 후반부터 국제 교류와 대중매체를 통하여 포스트 문명이 스며들기 시작하였고, 이러한 시대적 흐름에 따라 1990년대 이후 현대한국창작춤계에서는 실험적인 형식과 내용으로 과거의 고정화된 전통적 움직임의 지배에서 벗어나 순간적으로 요구되는 즉흥적 움직임을 시도하기 시작하였다. 형식적으로 짜여지지 않은 내면적 정서 표현에 의한 자유로운 움직임으로서의 양상은 우리춤의 내재적 전통을 바탕으로 하는 새로운 차원의 즉흥적 움직임의 형태로 창조되었다. 전통 지속과 혁신이라는 차원에서 볼 때, 즉흥은 새로운 무용형태의 창조를 주도하는 강력한 힘의 원천으로 무한한 발전 가능성을 지니고 있기 때문에 현대한국창작춤에 나타나는 즉흥적 움직임에 대한 체계적인 연구는 미래의 무용 창작을 위한 구체적이고 실질적인 시사점을 도출하기 위한 필수적인 과제라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 즉흥의 개념이나 특성을 바탕으로 즉흥무용의 형성배경을 살피고, 현대한국창작춤에 어떠한 즉흥적 움직임이 나타나며, 그 속에 내재되 있는 즉흥적 요소가 무엇인지를 파악하고, 파격적이고 실험적인 형태가 두드러지는 즉흥적 성향의 작품을 분석하여 여기에서 도출된 즉흥성향의 특징을 제시하는데 목적을 두고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 방법론 제시로, 객관적인 문헌 연구를 적용하였다. 그 결과, 즉흥에 대한 기본적인 이해를 위한 개념정립과 현대한국창작춤의 흐름에 있어 한국춤의 원형에 내재된 즉흥적 요소가 어떠한 방향으로 즉흥적 움직임 성향을 나타내었는지 개괄적으로 파악할 수 있었고, 즉흥작품 김현자의 「하루」와 김영희의 「말하지 않고」을 중심으로 주제 및 내용적 측면, 움직임 측면, 시각 및 청각적 측면으로 분석한 결과 작품 안에 즉흥적 성향이 주관적ㆍ추상적인 성향으로 나타난 것을 파악하였다. 이러한 작품에서 연구된 전통성을 중시하는 현대한국창작춤에서 나타난 즉흥적 특징은 2가지로 나타났는데 첫째, 전통적 근원으로의 회귀적 성향과 둘째, 내재적 형식미의 엑스타시적 표출이다. 현대한국창작춤에 나타난 즉흥성은 한국의 민족성을 바탕으로 시대감각에 맞는 춤을 창안해 냄으로써 한국문화의 정신세계와 함께 그들 고유의 동작과 정서를 바탕으로 창조된 현대한국창춤의 새로운 안무방식을 발전시키는데 있어 없어서는 안 될 주요한 요소임을 규명하고자 한다.;The purpose of this thesis is a suggestion of special features of the Korean contemporary creative dances and the importance of creating and studying the movements of these extempore dances based on the elements of the Korean contemporary creative dances. In the end of 20th century, the new art position through the change of social norm had opened a new door for the artists. The Post modern dances, formed freely with the internal of human beings which were opposite of the previous modern dances which exceeded the limit, have focuses on the impulsive movements based on the abnormalness and experimentation. As cultural exchanges with other countries and the mass communications have introduced the Post civilization into Korea in the end of 1980, the Korea contemporary creative dances have tried to express extempore and momentary movements, not the old-fashioned, frigid movements after 1990. Therefore this report talks about the origin of extempore performance, what kind of movements they use while performing, the relationship between extempore amusement and modern Korea creative dancing, some suggestions of the developing this area one step farther. In order to reach this goal, objective literature researches were adopted. As results, which direction the movements and the basic understanding of the Korea contemporary creative dances were comprehended. Also, this thesis was to have a chance to understand the main idea, the inclination and what the authors are trying to say through some works such as " A day " by Hun-Ja, Kim and "Without saying " by Young-Hee, Kim. Two special marks mention through these two significant works are that the Korea contemporary creative dances tent to work from the traditions and they show in a form of ecstasy. The artists of Korea contemporary creative dances have tried so hard to put the souls of our generations adjusted on the sense of time. They are one of the best ones that we need in order to improve not only the Korea contemporary creative dances but also our culture.
