다중지능이론과 Motif Writing 움직임 창작 이론의 관계 연구

Abstract

According to the increasing interest in originality in modern society, concern over such originality is increasing in school education, as well. H. Gardner who regarded originality as intelligence suggested the theory of multiple intelligence, classifying intelligence into eight types. He said that although such types are independent each other, they have correlation in a problem-solving context, and creative movement education is effective in terms of such theory. Application of the theory of creative movement with Motif Writing which uses motif symbols and analyzes, creates and records movements to such creative movements can be an excellent means to enrich a thinking or an impromptu ability, or creativeness of people who read a dance notation. This study was attempted to look into the relation between the H. Gardner's theory of multiple intelligence and the theory of creative movement with Motif Writing developed for the purpose of dance education. Based on the aforesaid background, findings of this study are as follows: First, the relation of musical intelligence to a rhythmical sense of Motif Writing symbols was found. Second, the relation of physical intelligence to perception and emotional expression of the body through physical movements was found. Third, the relation of logical and mathematical intelligence to a logical thinking in the course that a sentence of movement is completed with motif symbols and is expressed with the body was found. Fourth, the relation of linguistic intelligence to communication by the symbolization of observed movements and the use of those symbols and terminology was found. Fifth, the relation of spatial and visual intelligence to the formation of motif symbols in space and the visualization of them into movement was found. Sixth, the relation of the intelligence of personal relations to the development of cooperation and leadership through group activities with people was found. Seventh, the relation of the intelligence of self-understanding to the orientation toward internal emotion and the more positive expression was found. Eighth, the relation of natural intelligence to the encouragement of more interesting writing with materials of a movement of an animal or a plant, weather, and natural sound was found. Summarizing the above-mentioned findings, although the theory of multiple intelligence and the theory of creative movement with Motif Writing were suggested in different fields, each characteristic of them is closely related. Considering these findings, it is expected that the education of creative movement with motif writing on the basis of the theory of multiple intelligence will have a great effect as a new educational system for the development of creativeness. Therefore it is judged that studies on the theory of creative movement with Motif Writing shall be made positively and through such thorough studies, a turning point to convert the current curriculum-oriented education into multi-sided one will be made.;창의적인 능력에 대한 관심이 높아져 가고 있는 현대 사회의 요구로 인하여 학교 교육에서도 창의적인 능력에 대한 관심은 높아져 가고 있다. 창의성을 지능으로 간주한 Gardner는 지능을 여덟 가지의 종류로 분류한 다중지능이론을 제시하였다. 이 다중지능들은 서로 독립적이지만, 문제를 해결하는 과정에서는 상호적인 관계라고 하였고, 이러한 다중지능이론의 관점에서 움직임 창작 교육을 볼 때, 효과적일 수 있다고 하였다. 이와 같은 움직임 창작에 무보를 읽는 사람들의 생각이나 즉흥·창의적인 능력을 높이기 위하여 Motif 기호를 사용하여 움직임을 분석하고, 창작하며, 기록하는 Motif Writing 움직임 창작 이론의 적용은 창의적인 능력을 신장시키는데 훌륭한 도구가 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 Gardner의 다중지능이론과 무용교육을 목적으로 개발된 Motif Writing을 이용한 움직임 창작 이론이 서로 어떤 관계를 가지고 있는지, 그 연관성 연구에 목적을 두고자 하였고, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악적 지능은 Motif 기호의 리듬감과 박자 감각과의 관계 속에서 그 연관성을 찾을 수 있다. 둘째, 신체-운동적 지능은 신체의 움직임 훈련을 통해 신체에 대한 지각능력과 감정 표현 등을 연결 지을 수 있다. 셋째, 논리-수학적 지능은 Motif 기호를 통해 움직임의 문장을 완성하고, 그것을 신체로 표현하는 과정에서 논리적 사고를 할 수 있다는 점과 관련지을 수 있다, 넷째, 언어적 지능은 관찰한 움직임들을 기호화 하고, 그 기호와 용어를 사용함으로써 의사소통이 가능하게 된다는 의미에서 연관성이 있다 . 다섯째, 공간적-시각적 지능은 Motif 기호를 공간속에서 형상화하여 움직임으로 시각화 한다는 점에서 연관성이 있다. 여섯째, 대인관계 지능은 다른 사람들과의 그룹 활동을 통해 협동심과 리더쉽을 키울 수 있다는 점에서 연관성이 있다. 일곱째, 자기이해 지능은 내면의 감정에 귀 기울임으로써, 더 극적인 표현을 할 수 있다는 점에서 연관성이 있다. 여덟째, 자연탐구 지능은 동·식물의 움직임이나 기후·자연의 소리 등을 제재로 하여, 더 흥미롭게 창작을 할 수 있도록 도와준다는 의미에서 관련이 있다. 이와 같은 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 다중지능이론과 Motif Writing 움직임 창작 이론은 서로 다른 분야에서 제시된 이론이지만, 각각의 특성들이 깊은 연관성이 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 통해서, 다중지능이론에 근거한 Motif Writing 움직임 창작 교육은 창의적인 능력의 개발을 위한 새로운 교육 체계로서, 그 효과가 클 것이라고 예상된다. 따라서 앞으로는 Motif Writing을 중심으로 한 움직임 창작 이론에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지는 것이 바람직하다고 생각되며, 이러한 심도 있는 연구를 통해서 교과 중심적인 현행의 교육을 좀 더 다양한 측면으로 전환할 수 있는 계기를 마련할 수 있을 것이다.
