한유 절구 연구

Abstract

한유는 唐代의 문화학술방면에서 앞 시대와 뒤 시대의 架橋 역할을 한 인물이다. 그의 역사적 지위와 가치가 이처럼 중요하기 때문에 일찍부터 문학·철학·정치학을 포함한 여러 분야에서 한유에 관한 연구가 축적되어왔다. 한유 시에 관한 연구는 주로 古詩에 초점이 맞추어졌다. 상대적으로 절구 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않아 전체적인 시의 면모를 파악하는데 장애 요인으로 작용한다. 따라서 본고는 지금까지 주목받지 못했던 절구에 주목하여 그 특징과 문학사적 위상을 밝히고 한유시의 전모를 파악하는데 기여하고자 한다. 한편 절구는 만년작의 거의 절반을 차지하므로 절구 연구를 통해 만년의 작풍도 가늠해볼 수 있다. 이와 같은 목적아래 본고는 한유 절구의 내용, 형식, 풍격 및 후대에 미친 영향을 고찰하였다. 한유 절구의 내용은 다양함을 보여준다. 또한 내용에서 특별히 언급할 점은 우선 제재의 확대를 들 수 있다. 한유는 정치적 사건, 민간의 풍속, 주변의 일상사, 민간 전설을 절구의 소재로 삼아 절구 제재의 범주를 확장시켰다. 또 하나는 의론의 성분이 강화된 점을 들 수 있다. 일부 서경시 및 영물시에 보이는 인생에 대한 철학적인 이치와 사색적인 경향에서 이러한 특정을 찾아볼 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 송시와 같이 의론이 작품 전반을 차지하는 작품도 여러 편이 있어 절구에 이성적인 색채가 짙어졌음을 볼 수 있다. 형식은 성률, 구법, 압운의 세 방면에서 고찰하였다. 먼저 성률 방면에 있어서는 拗句를 대량으로 사용한 점에 착안하여 拗의 유형을 살펴보았다. 또한 拗가 작품 속에서 구체적으로 어떤 역할을 하며, 내용과 어떤 관련을 맺는지 살펴보았다. 대량의 拗句 사용으로 인한 규칙적인 음률의 파괴는 결국 노래가사라는 절구의 본래 기능을 파괴한다. 이는 시가사의 일대전환을 의미하는 바 노래하고 낭송하는 시에서 읽고 보는 시로의 이행이라 할 수 있다. 구법에서 가장 주목되는 특징은 변격의 句式을 多用하여 산문화 하는 점이다. 이것은 한유 고시의 산문화 경향과 일맥상통하는 측면이다. 압운은 대체로 보편적인 율시의 규율을 따랐다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 7언절구의 제1구를 압운하지 않은 경우가 七絶 전체의 32.4%를 차지한다는 사실에서 한유가 五格의 율시 압운 규칙을 지키지 않았음을 알 수 있다. 이것은 그가 고시의 用韻에서 고의로 反律化의 길을 걸었던 것과 상통하는 점이라 할 수 있다. 한유 절구의 풍격은 實境, 沈著, 豪放으로 나눌 수 있으며, 그중 實境이 주가 된다. 고시의 풍격이 奇險豪縱인 것을 염두에 둔다면, 이것은 절구의 독특한 특징으로 파악된다. 표현 방식에 있어서는 지나치게 수식하거나 조탁하지 않고 僻字나 잘 쓰이지 않는 典故를 끌어오지 않았으며, 平易淺近한 언어로 자연스럽게 묘사하였다. 이와 같은 표현상의 平實함은 절구 전체를 관통하며 만년의 작품을 대표하는 특징이다. 이어서 한유 절구의 여러 가지 특정에 기초하여 그것이 후대에 미친 영향을 살펴보았다. 먼저 한유의 詠史絶句는 李商隱과 杜牧으로 대표되는 晩唐 영사절구에 영향을 미쳤음을 알 수 있다. 그리고 송대 시인에 미친 영향력은 蘇軾, 王安石, 黃庭堅, 文同, 范成大, 楊萬里 등의 작품에서 드러난다. 결론적으로 한유는 제재의 확대 의론 성분의 강화, 산문화, 反律化와 같은 방법으로 전통적인 절구와 다른 방식으로 절구를 창작했다. 이러한 詩 作法의 변화는 杜甫 절구에서 그 단서를 찾을 수 있다. 한유의 절구는 이를 확대 발전시켜 宋代 시인의 한 전범이 되었다.;So far, Han Yu(韓愈)'s four-line poem has not been researched overall because his pre-Tang poetry achievement and contribution of the history of ancient literature was big enough to neglect it. So the goal of this paper is to see his poem with bird eyes view and evaluate the poem of four lines in the history of literature. I had researched its contents, style, and influence. Han Yu's four-line poem was written at the later part of his life and it was almost half of his later part poems. Therefore we can evaluate his literacy style of the later part of his life by researching his four-line poem. First of all, the content of Han Yu's four-line poem are very various. Contents has two peculiarities. One was that subjects of poem changed variously from traditional subject to subjects such as - political issues, nongovermental manners and customs, and daily works - which were not frequently used in the traditional poem of four lines. Another one was that it included philosophical reasons, and speculative and rational thoughts. These two peculiarities are already tried the Du Fu(杜甫)'s poem of four lines and it is also peculiarity of the poem of four lines of the Song's era. Therefore, Han Yu. continued the way that Du Fu opened up and also he connected it to the Song's era. Second, I researched the style of four-line poem with three different views as a rhyme, rhyme scheme and sentence structure. The peculiarity of styles are that it used a lot of sentences which are not followed rhyme scheme(拗句) and prosed sentence patterns, and it has pretty a lot of works which didn't rhyme the first line in four line-seven character poem. Based on this fact, it is the different between the ordinary four-line poem of Tang's era and Han Yu's four-line poem Han Yu's four-line poem tend to be pros and break the rule of rhyming. Specially, using many of sentences which were not followed rhyme scheme and prosed sentence patterns were influenced the Song's era. Third, Han Yu's four-line poem is distinguished shijing(實境), chenzhuo(沈着), haofang(豪放) and the main style is shijing. It was a sense of beauty which is not ornate and describes it with normal conversation words. The shijing style represents his work in the later part of life and it is a starting point of the Song's four-line poem. Fourth, the influence of Han Yu's four-line poem can be found from Su shi(蘇軾), Wang An-Shi(王安石), Huang Ting-Jian(黃庭堅), Wen Tong(文同), Fan Cheng-Da(范成大), Yang Wan-Li(楊萬里) poems. Also his four-line poem which is about historical person or accident influenced to Late-Tang(晩唐). In conclusion, the four-line poem which was written by Han Yu was written in a new way and style which did not followed the ordinary four-line poem of Tang's era. He continued Du Fu style and brought it to the Song.
