유아교육 전문가가 추천한 CD-ROM title과 일반인이 구매한 CD-ROM title의 비교평가

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아교육 전문가들이 추천하는 CD-ROM Title과 추천 이유 및 일반인들이 구매하는 CD-ROM Title과 구매이유를 조사하여 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보고 이를 통하여 일반인들이 좋은 유아교육용 소프트웨어를 선택하는데에 도움을 주는 데에 있다. 이에 따른 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 유아교육 전문가의 추천이유와 일반인의 구매이유는 무엇인가? 2. 유아교육 전문가가 추천한 CD-ROM Title과 일반인이 구매한 CD-ROM Title의 평가 점수는 어떠한가? 본 연구는 유아교육 전문가 35인이 10개씩의 추천한 350개의 CD-ROM Title 목록에서 공통적인 것을 추린 결과인 26개중 상위 20개 Title, 그리고 일반인 57명이 구매한 63개의 CD-ROM Title 목록에서 공통적인 것을 추린 결과인 22개중 상위 20개 Title을 대상으로 하였다. 유아교육 전문가에게 사용된 설문지는 추천하는 CD-ROM Title 10개와 추천시 중요하게 여기는 사항이 무엇인지 개방형으로 기입하도록 구성되었다. 일반인이 구매한 CD-ROM Title과 구매이유를 조사하기 위해서 소프트웨어 매장에서 유아교육용 CD-ROM Title을 구입한 일반인을 대상으로 개방형으로 설문지를 사용하였다. 전문가가 추천한 CD-ROM Title 20개와 일반인이 구매한 CD-ROM Title 20개를 평가하기 위하여 Buckleitner에 의해 개발된「Children's Software Revue(CSR) 소프트웨어 평가도구」를 사용하였다. 이 도구는 5개의 하위영역으로 나뉘며 총 55개 문항으로 구성되어 있다. 자료분석 방법은 추천이유와 선택이유에 관한 설문지의 경우 비슷한 항목을 통합하여 정리하였으며 빈도와 백분율을 구하였다. 전문가가 추천한 CD-ROM Title과 일반인이 구매한 CD-ROM Title의 평가점수를 비교하기 위하여 전체 평가점수와 하위항목별 평가점수를 산출하고 각각의 평균을 구하였다. 또한 CD-ROM Title의 평가점수를 점수 판단기준에 따라 나누고 빈도와 백분율을 구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교육 전문가의 추천이유는 '내용이 교육적이며 연령에 적절하다', '개방적이다', '재미있다', '통합적 접근이 가능하다', '사용이 쉽다', '상호 작용적이다', '그래픽이 우수하다', '음향효과가 다양하고 재미있다', '난이도의 차이가 있다' 순으로 나타났다. 일반인의 선택이유는 유아교육 전문가의 추천이유와 상이하게 달랐으며 '특정 개념(영어, 글자, 숫자 등)을 가르치기 위해서', '판매자의 권유', '표지에 있는 내용을 보고 좋을 것 같아서', '가격이 적당해서', '주위 사람들이 좋다고 하는 것', '아이들이 사달라고 하는 것', '도서나 연수에서 전문가가 추천하는 것' 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전체 평가점수 및 하위항목별 평가점수의 평균은 전문가가 추천한 CD-ROM Title이 일반인이 구매한 CD-ROM Title보다 모두 높게 나타났다. 평가점수의 평균을 '평가점수의 판단기준'에 비춰 보면 전문가가 추천한 Title의 전체 평가점수 및 하위항목별 평가점수는 모두 '우수하다'에 속하였다. 일반인이 구매한 Title의 경우는 전체 평가점수와 '사용의 용이성', '유아의 적합성', '흥미성' 항목에서는 '보통이다'에 속하였으며 '교육적 가치', '디자인 특성'항목에서는 '나쁘다'에 속하였다.;The purpose of this study was to provide the valid information helpful to choose the right CD-ROM Titles through the investigation of the CD-ROM Titles which are recommended by early childhood education specialists, and the reason for their recommendation, and the CD-ROM Titles which are purchased by general public and the reason for their purchase. The research questions are as follows: 1. What is the reason for the recommendation of the early childhood education specialists and what is the one for purchase of the general public? 2. How are the ratings of the Titles recommended by the early childhood education specialists and the Titles purchased by general public? The objects of this research are top 20 CD-ROM Titles recommended by 35 early childhood education specialists, and top 20 CD-ROM Titles purchased by 57 general public. Questionnaire for early childhood education specialists comprised questions asking 10 recommendable CD-ROM Titles and the important reasons for the recommendation. For investigation of CD-ROM Titles purchased by general public and the reason for the purchase, people who purchased CD-ROM Titles for early childhood education were interviewed from the shop. Evaluation of the 20 Titles recommended by specialists and another 20 publicly purchased Titles was performed through use of 'Children's Software Revue Software Evaluation Instrument' which was developed by Buckleitner. It is composed of 5 subcategories and has total 55 queries. Recommendation and selection reasons were merged and arranged according to the similarities. For the comparison of the evaluation results of the Titles recommended by specialists and the Titles favored by general public, total points and subcategory points were evaluated and mean values were obtained each. Additionally each points were rearranged by the criterion of the evaluation and frequency and percent ratio were evaluated. The results of this study are as follows : 1. Recommendation the reasons of early childhood education specialists were 'educative and proper to children's age', 'open-ended type', 'enjoyable to use', 'integral accessibility', 'easy to use', 'interactive', 'superior graphics', 'interesting and varied sounds', 'distinguishable difficulty', and etc. Reasons for public selection were much different from those of specialists and were 'fit for special purposes like English, Korean alphabet, or arithmetic', 'seller's recommendation', 'impression from the cover', 'reasonable price', 'opinions from the people around', 'children's plea', 'specialists' recommendation from books or seminars' and etc. 2. The CD-ROM Titles recommended by specialists got higher points than the Titles favored by public in the average value of total score and subcategory score. According to the evaluation criterion, total and subcategory evaluation of the Titles recommended by specialists were both rated as 'good'. As for the Titles favored by public, they were rated as 'fair' in total quality and the subcategories of 'easy to use', 'childproof', and 'entertaining', and as 'poor' in the subcategories of 'educational', and 'design features'.
