반복을 통한 은유적 표현 연구

Abstract

예술이란 그 본질에 있어서 샤크 마르탱(maritin Jacques, 1882-1973)의 말처럼 ‘일종의 정신적 감수성과 물질의 만남에서 이루어진다’ 고 볼 수 있다. 이것은 화가의 주관적 사고가 회화 속에 나타난 대상을 통해 표출되고 있음을 나타낸다. 인간의 내면세계와 그것을 둘러싼 외적 세계와의 만남은 그 만남의 구현 자체가 오늘의 예술행위의 궁극적인 목표라 할 수 있으며 따라서, 그 만남의 새로운 관계설정의 추구가 바로 현대미술을 여러 가지 모습으로 오늘에 있게 하는 기본적인 요인이 된다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서, 예술이 창조적 행위임은 자명한 사실이지만 이는 단순한 개인의 창조적 행위인 동시에 개인이 처한 역사적 상황의 산물로 간주할 수 있다. 단순히 사물의 외형을 옮기는 것에 가치를 두기보다는 심상표현을 위해 대상에 새로운 의미를 부여하고, 그것들을 재구성하여 작품을 완성한다. 본인은 작품 속에서 인간이 즐겁게 받아들였으나 이제는 오히려 시달리고 고뇌하게 된 현대문명의 제도적 억압과 그로 인한 인간성 상실, 비개성화 등의 문제를 반복과 은유를 통해 표현하고자 하였다. 작품 표현의 방법으로 대상의 반복에 의미를 부여하여 간접적으로 자신의 내면을 표현하는 반복을 통한 은유적 표현에 관심을 갖고, 작업하였다. 본 논문에서는 반복의 방법과 의미에 대하여 알아보고, 반복을 통한 은유적 표현에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해 작품의 형성과정과 그 의미 전달에 대해 전개하고자 하였다.;Art in its essence as stated by Marion Jacques(Maritin Jacques 1882-1973) can be viewed as 'being constituted from the encounter of a sort of mental sensitivity and matter.' As to encounter of internal world of humans and external world surrounding it can be said the realization of such encounter itself is ultimate goal of contemporary artistic action accordingly pursuing establishment of new relationship of such encounter may be considered as essential element which made contemporary art exist on various shapes today. Rather than bestowing values on simple transfer of outer shape of things but conferring new meanings on objects for expression of mental image and by reconstituting it works are completed. Through repetition and metaphor in my works I intend to express problems of loss of humanity and alienation resulting from suppression by systems of modern civilization which was embraced by humans gladly but now became source of their harassment and anxiety. In this treatise I studied method of repetition and meaning and by theoretical examination of metaphorical expression through repetition I am going to evolve process of creation of works and communication of its meaning.
