유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 사회적 덕목 분석

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to offer basic data for social development of the early childhood by analyzing the social virtue showed in the stories of the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers which are organized by the 5th and 6th national curriculum and generally used in kindergarten. To meet this study purpose, these questions sets as follows as: 1. What is the social virtue of the stories in the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers? 2. What is the social virtue of the stories based on subject in the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers? Through this study I examined the range of social virtue in the 171 stories which are collected in 5th and 6th National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers. The social virtue of the stories in the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers were analyzed by the 13 kinds of social virtue which is adjusted and replaced through the studies by Lee Kyung woo(1989), Lee Won young, Bang In wok, Park Chan wok(1991), Lamme, Krogh & Yachmetz(1992), Korea Behavior Science Institute(1982) and the Dong Kyu in 「Sasojeol」by Lee Duck moo. The results of this study are as follows. First as the result of studying social virtue of the stories in the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers, appreciating others is most shown in those stories by 73 times(25.6%) and the next is co-operation by 47 times(16.5%), sincerity(responsibility) by 30 times(10.5%), self-esteem by 22 times(7.7%), moderation by 18 times(6.3%), Ecological values by 16 times(5.6%), each of sharing , public order and discipline by 14 times(4.9%), each of honesty and manners, patriotism by 12 times(4.2%), neatness by 9 times(3.2%) and Frugality by 6 times(2.1%). And the result of studying the number of social virtue in the stories of the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers, the stories that include 2 social virtue are most shown by 72 times(42.1%). And the next is the stories that include 1 social virtue by 69 times(40.4%), the stories that include 3 social virtue by 24 times(14.0%). And the result of studying the style of social virtue in the stories of the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers, appreciating others and co-operation is most shown in those stories by 13 times(24.5%) and appreciating others, co-operation and self-esteem is most shown in those stories by 3 times(12.5%). Second as the result of studying social virtue based on subject of the stories in the National Curriculum Guidance for Teachers, the stories in the 'I and Kindergarten', 'Family and Neighborhood', 'Seasons', 'Animals', 'My Country and Other Countries', 'Special Days' are most showed appreciating others. And the stories in the 'Good Body and Mind' are most showed appreciating others and self-esteem, 'Earth and Ecology' are most showed ecological values. And the stories in the 'Special Days' are most showed co-operation and patriotism.;본 연구의 목적은 제5·6차 유치원 교육과정에 따라 편찬되어 유치원 현장에서 일반적으로 활용되고 있는 유치원 교육 활동 지도 자료에 수록된 동화에서 나타난 사회적 덕목을 살펴봄으로써 유아의 사회성 발달을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이와 같은 연구 목적을 위해 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 1. 유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 사회적 덕목은 어떠한가? 2. 유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 생활주제별 사회적 덕목은 어 떠한가? 본 연구는 제5·6차 유치원 교육활동 지도자료에 수록된 동화 171편 전체를 대상으로 동화에 나타나는 사회적 덕목을 분석하여 그 분포 정도를 살펴보았다. 유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 사회적 덕목은 이경우, 이은화, 정확실, 문미옥(1989), 이원영, 방인옥, 박찬옥(1992), Lamme, Krogh와 Yachmetz(1992), 한국행동과학연구소(1982)가 제시한 덕목과 이덕무(1985)의 「사소절」중 동규(童規)편의 덕목을 수정·보완하여 13가지 범주로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 사회적 덕목을 분석한 결과 다른 사람 이해하기가 전체 73편(25.6%)으로 가장 높은 비율을 나타냈다. 그 다음으로는 협동이 47편(16.5%), 성실(책임)이 30편(10.5%), 자아존중이 22편(7.7%), 절제가 18편(6.3%), 생태계 보호가 16편(5.6%), 나누기, 질서와 규칙이 각각 14편(4.9%), 정직과 예절, 나라 사랑하기가 각각 12편(4.2%), 청결이 9편(3.2%), 검소가 6편(2.1%)으로 나타났다. 또한, 유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 사회적 덕목의 수는 2개인 것이 72편(42.1%)으로 가장 많았다. 그 다음으로는 사회적 덕목을 1개 포함한 동화가 69편(40.4%), 3개를 포함한 동화는 24편(14.0%), 사회적 덕목이 포함되지 않은 동화는 6편(3.5%)으로 나타났다. 사회적 덕목을 2개 포함한 동화 중 다른 사람 이해하기와 협동의 덕목이 함께 나타난 동화가 13편(24.5%)으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 덕목을 3개 포함한 동화로는 다른 사람 이해하기와 협동과 자아 존중이 함께 나타난 동화가 3편(12.5%)으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 유치원 교육활동 지도자료의 동화에 나타난 생활주제별 사회적 덕목을 살펴본 결과, '나와 유치원', '가족과 이웃', '계절', '동물', '우리나라와 다른 나라', '특별한 날들' 에 수록된 동화들에서 '다른 사람 이해하기' 의 사회적 덕목이 가장 많이 나타났다. 한편 '건강한 몸과 마음' 에서는 '다른 사람 이해하기' 뿐 아니라 '자아존중' 이 강조되었으며, '지구와 환경'에서는 '생태계 보호' 가 강조되었다. 또한 '특별한 날들' 에서는 '협동'과 '나라 사랑하기' 가 높은 비율을 나타냈다.
