기(氣)와 의식작용을 통한 시, 공간의 회화성 연구

Abstract

Art has undergone much rapid and many changes in the 20th century than any other times before. That is because the more complicated and diverse the aspects of man's life more attempts and experiments being conducted to seek proper expressional forms and methods of creation. moreover, as modern society pursues external, physical developments excessively and the area of technology is expanded with increasing speed, the essence of man's self or human depth seems to gradually disappear. Therefore, our recognition of the universal truth that doesn't change amidst rapid and numerous changes seems very important, which should be found inside of man rather than outside. Awakening anew toward the essential nature of existence is the ultimate problem of our life, and it surely enriches the quality of life. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to emotinally search for a fundamental unity and harmony in the contradictory attributes of our existence through producing works, and to renew our view of the existence and world in the hope of deepening pursuits for man's essential mentality. As a conceptual background of work, i.e., a basis of the author's pursuit, the phenomenology of Husserl and Merloporti and ideas of aura relevant to the doctrines of lao-tse and Chuang-tse were explored, and this exploration helped the author a lot to clear out the meaning of the space and time and the meaning of our existence in it. And the author has discussed the meaning of the space and time around the realities of her life and the visual, perceptional activities in it, and as for the methodological aspect, various media and the meaning of color have been classified and analyzed. In addition, works of Paul Mee who tried to seek his own originality from the nature and artistic resources not sticking to any special trend of art have been referred along with the matter paintings of Antoni Tapies who persued the ultimate spiritual union with universe and the painting of an orchid by Kim Jung-hee which reveal the sublime world of spirit and dynamic feelings of life well to supplement the author's pursuit for spiritual world and development of it. Finally, the author has explored a desirable direction for future studies and attempted to have a foundation of development by presenting and analyzing her worlds in accordance with the change of her concept.;20세기에는 그 이전의 어느 시대보다도 예술에 있어서 더욱 급속하고 많은 변화가 이루어졌다. 그것은 인간 삶의 양태가 복잡다단해지는 만큼 그 속에 사 는 인간이 창조하는 예술의 형식이나 방법들 역시 다양한 실험과 표현을 거치 기 때문이라 할 수 있겠다. 더우기, 현대 사회는 외적인 물질적 발전을 과도하게 추구하고, 디지털 테크놀로지의 영역이 가속적으로 확대되어감에 따라, 인간에게 있어 자아의 본질이 나 인간적인 깊이는 점차 사라져 가는 듯하다. 따라서, 빠르게 변화해 가는 가운데 변하지 않는 인간의 보편적 진리에 대한 인식은 중요하다고 생각되며 그것은 외적인 것에서보다 인간의 내면에서 찾아 져야 한다고 본다. 존재의 본질에 대한 새로운 눈뜸은 삶에 있어 궁극적인 문제에 해당되며면 그 것은 인간의 삶을 더욱 풍요롭게 할 수 있는 것이므로 인간 삶의 본질에 가장 가깝다고 할 수 있는 예술은 인간 존재의 근원과 세계에 대한 근본적인 탐구를 지속해야 한다고 생각한다. 이에, 본인은 작품을 통해 존재의 양면적 속성에서 정신적으로 근원적인 합일 과 조화를 찾는 것을 목적으로 하여 존재의 본질적 정신에 대한 탐구가 더욱 심화되기를 바라며, 그것을 통해 존재와 세계를 바라보는 새로운 시각의 열림으로 나아가고자 한다. 본인의 작품에 있어 탐구의 기반이 되는 의식적 측면에서 에드문트 훗설과 모리스 메롤로-퐁티의 현상학, 老子와 壯子의 道家思想과 연결되는 氣에 대한 이해가 바탕 되었으며, 그것은 본인으로 하여금 시·공간 속에서의 존재의 의미를 좀 더 명확하게 하는데 도움을 주었다고 본다. 또한, 본인이 살아가는 현실에서의 시·공간의 의미와 그 안서 작용하는 시 지각 활동에 대해 언급하였으며, 방법적 측면에서 본인이 다루는 다양한 매체들 과 색채의 의미에 대해 분류, 분석해 보고, 생명을 담고 있는 일상의 오브제로 서의 표현에 대해 서술하였다. 덧붙여, 어떠한 미술 사조에 휩쓸리지 않고 나름의 독창성을 자연과 예술의 근원에서 찾고자 했던 Paul Klee의 작품과 함께 우주와의 궁극적인 정신적 합일을 추구하였던 Antoni Ta´pies의 물질 회화 작품들, 그리고 지고한 정신세계와 기운생동이 잘 드러나는 추사 김정희의 난초화를 참고 작품으로 하여 본인의 정신세계 추구와 발전에 보탬이 되고자 한다. 마지막으로 본인의 작품을 의식의 변화 과정에 따라 제시, 분석하여 봄으로써 앞으로의 방향에 대해 모색하고 발전의 토대로 삼고자 한다.
