Abstract

건축물은 인간의 기본 욕구를 충족하기 위해 탄생하였다. 하지만 오늘날 보호개념은 물론 예술적 측면 역시 중요시 되고 있다. 다시 말하자면 건축물은 하나의 조형언어로, 그 자체가 예술 작품이라 할 수 있다. 사람들은 가치관 변화로 편리하고 안정된 환경에 대한 욕구가 증대되었다. 이로써 환경 체제에 대한 학문적 연구와 공간의 계획이 보다 조직적이고 새로운 방법론의 제시를 불가피하게 만들었다. 이와 같은 배경으로 건축 또한 단순한 의미의 건축에서 종합미술의 개념으로 발전하게 된 것이다. 건축물은 사회적, 문화적, 역사적 의미를 지니는 동시에 이용자들에게 쾌적하고 아름다운 정주공간을 제공해야 한다. 또한 건축은 개인의 활동 영역을 벗어나 여러 기능을 지닌 공간의 개념이다. 다시 말하자면 건축은 여러 사람이 즐길 수 있는 공간과 일터, 그 외의 다양한 시설을 의미하는 것이다. 따라서 건축의 개념이 건물의 내부 뿐 아니라 외부의 공간 즉 거리의 환경도 포함된다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 거리환경을 결정짓는 street furniture의 기능이 한층 더 중요시 되고 있다. 본 연구는 단조롭고 무미건조한 공간을 탈피하여 street furniture를 이용하여 시각적인 것은 물론 정서적으로도 풍요로운 공간을 제시하고자 한다. 사회와 대중의 욕구에 의한 공공 미술적인 측면, 그리고 시각적, 촉각적, 감성적 특징을 지닌 street furniture를 건축도자적인 면에서 접근하고자 한다. 본 연구는 자연이미지 재조합한 street furniture가 휴식공간이라는 장소에서 사람들에게 심리적으로 안정을 주고 공간을 재창조하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적에 따라 첫째로 건축의 의의를 살펴보았다. 둘째, street furniture의 개념과 종류에 대하여 조사하여 그 쓰임과 역할에 대해 알아보았다. 셋째, 이 전 여러 사례들을 통하여 휴식공간에서 쓰이는 street furniture에 대하여 연구하였다. 넷째, 자연이미지를 이용하여 벤치와 유도등을 제작함으로써 휴식공간에서 창조적이고 발전 가능성 있는 street furniture를 모색하였다. 본 연구를 통해 연구자는 다음과 같은 사실을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 같은 휴식공간일지라도 furniture를 통하여 새로운 공간을 창출하고 효과적이고 합리적으로 공간을 활용 할 수 있음 알게 되었다. 또한 street furniture의 설치로 인해 공간 이미지가 변할 수 있다는 점을 알게 되었다. 둘째, 자연이미지의 street furniture는 사람들에게 심리적 안정을 주고 환경을 고려하여 제작할 때, 주변 경관를 해치지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 주 사용자가 누구이냐에 따라 street furniture의 기능과 디자인이 다른 재질이나 형태, 색채로 표현되어져야 하며, 목적이 뚜렷하고 적절한 디자인은 사용자들의 시간을 보다 효과적으로 보낼 수 있음을 알게 되었다. 넷째, 다양하고 뛰어난 디자인이 있을지라도 사용자들에게 친숙해야 street furniture의 기능을 제대로 한다는 점을 알게 되었다. 다섯째, street furniture의 특성상 내구성을 중시해야 한다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로 인간을 배려하며 삶을 풍요롭게 할 수 있는 다양한 street furniture가 지속적으로 발전되어야 할 것이다. 그러할 때 도시환경의 외관도 깨끗하고 특색 있는 거리로 정리될 것이며, 공간에 활력을 불어 넣을 수 있게 될 것이다.;Background: Historically, buildings were constructed to serve basic needs of human beings. Today, however, in addition to functional aspect as a shelter, artistic aspect of buildings is also considered to be important. In other words, building is an expression of artist’s language of artwork and therefore itself is an art work. Such view change led to increased human desire of psychologically comforting environment. As a result, it has become inevitable to come up with more new, structural methodology on academic research about environmental system and space planning. Against this backdrop, the notion of building as a simple building expanded into composite arts. While buildings have social, cultural, and historical meaning, they also should provide clean and beautiful residential place to people. Also, buildings are space which provides various functions other than being just a private space. In other words, buildings mean public space many people can enjoy, work place, and other various facilities. Therefore, the notion of building goes beyond the inside of building to include outside, meaning environment around streets. This is why the function of street furniture is becoming all the more important. This research is intended to suggest visually and psychologically comforting space by furnishing street furniture to change simple and prosaic space. Also, the research is looking at street furniture with visual, textile, emotional characteristics, from the perspective of construction ceramics and the perspective of public artwork to meet desires of people and the society. This research is intendedfor street furniture, which was recombined with nature image, to provide psychological comfort to people in school, public realm, and to recreate space. Based on the research objectives, we first took a look at the meaning of building and the history and meaning of construction ceramics. Second, we researched on the concept and kinds of street furniture to see its usage and its role. Third, by looking through cases, we researched on street furniture furnished in public realm. Lastly, we sought the possibility of creative and prospective street furniture by building bench, leading light, and traffic barriers integrating nature image. (Method) Casting and pressing will be major research methods, and white soil mix and korean porcelain clay were mostly used for the solidity of street furniture since it is furnished outside. Sometimes paper clay was used with superwhite clay and Onggy clay and iron-rich clay and pigment were used to express the texture. As for glaze, transparent glaze, golden manganese glaze, milky glaze, transparent matt glaze, color glaze, milky glaze, blue glaze were used, and white soil mix was enameled after covering with mixed manganese and oxidized steel with 1 to 1 ratio. To express texture, clays were fired, and unfired as long as there was no difficulty in doing so. Some of them are fired with oxidizing flame in 1.5㎥ Gas-Firing Down Draft Kiln at 1252℃. Bench made of jade-green porcelain went through process of reduction firing in 1.5㎥Gas-Firing Down Draft Kiln at 1252℃. (Results) First, we found out that the same space can be changed to create new space by furnishing street furniture and can be recreated in a practical and effective way. Second, the installment of street furniture could create a different image of streets. Third, dependent on user, the function and design of street furniture should be different, and good design helps users to spend their time more efficiently. Fourth, even if design is outstanding withvariety, it should be familiar to users for street furniture to properly function. Fifth, durability has to be considered to be of importance, considering of the trait of street furniture.
