2007 개정 교육과정의 초등학교 5, 6학년 음악교과서 국악 영역 분석

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze Korean Music in the 5th and 6th grade‘s music text books. For this study, the contents of Korean music in 7th curriculum and the revised 7th curriculum was analyzed and compared. This analysis was based on the three sections such as 'activity,' 'understanding,' and 'daily life'. The result of this study was summarized as follows. First, the ratio of Korean music in the revised 7th curriculum music text books was slightly decreased or increased. However, the contents of the Korean music was specified and systematically presented for 'better quality of Korean music education'. Second, in the field of 'activity', 'Shizo' was recently presented in the singing section. While the unit for listening and playing Korean music was established for intensive study, the section for creating Korean music was decreased. Therefore, it is required to study and add more for the unit of creating Korean music. Third, in the field of 'understanding', new terms was suggested for better understanding of Korean music. Teaching methods was adapted according to each grade for systematic learning. Fourth, the contents of 'daily life' was constructed to apply in real life. However, it is difficult to find the difference with Western music and limited specific ways to utilize in daily life. In conclusion, overall overview of the 7th revised music text books was effectively composed for 'better quality of Korean music education'. Continuous study related to Korean music is suggested for the development of Korean music.;본 연구는 제7차와 2007 개정 교육과정의 내용체계를 살펴보고 5, 6학년 음악 교과서의 국악 내용을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 바탕으로 교육과정의 내용체계가 교과서에 어떻게 반영되어 있는지를 분석하여 '국악 교육의 질적 제고'가 이루어졌는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 초등학교에서 처음으로 검정된 5, 6학년 음악 교과서의 경향을 살피고 개선방향에 대하여 논하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 제7차와 2007 개정 음악과 교육과정의 5, 6학년 국악 관련 내용체계를 비교․분석하였다. 교과서의 비교․분석은 초등학교 5, 6학년 음악 교과서의 국악 관련 제재를 대상으로 하여 2007 개정 교육과정의 내용체계인 ‘활동․이해․생활화’ 영역을 기준으로 분석하였다. 이상의 연구를 통한 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개정 5, 6학년 음악 교과서에 제시된 국악의 비중은 교과서별로 상이하고 약간 감소하거나 증가하였다. 그러나 분석결과, 효과적인 국악 학습을 위해 내용이 구체화‧체계화되어 ‘국악 교육의 질적 제고’를 잘 반영하고 있었다. 둘째, '활동'영역에서는 가창에서 '시조'가 새롭게 제시되었고, 국악 기악과 감상을 위한 단원을 설정하여 좀 더 심도있는 국악 학습을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 다만 창작영역의 비중이 줄고, 제7차와 비슷한 내용으로 구성되어 있어 국악 창작에 대한 다양한 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, '이해'영역에서는 국악의 이해를 높이기 위한 새로운 용어가 제시되었고, 학년별로 위계를 설정하여 체계적으로 학습할 수 있는 방안을 마련한 것은 고무적인 일이라 사료된다. 넷째, '생활화'영역에서는 국악을 생활 속에서 직접 활용할 수 있는 내용으로 구성되 었으나 서양음악과의 차별성이 떨어지고, 생활화를 실천할 수 있는 구체적인 방안이 제한되어 생활화 실천을 위한 구체적 대책과 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 2007 개정 음악과 교육과정의 국악 내용은 개정 중점인 '국악 교육의 질적 제고'를 높이기 위한 시도가 효과적으로 적용되었다고 볼 수 있다. 앞으로 교육과정 개정과 교과서 편찬에 관련된 많은 연구를 통해 초등학교 국악 교육의 발전을 기대한다.
