연속 동작에 의한 패션 일러스트레이션 연구

Abstract

오늘날 패션 일러스트레이션은 과거 정보 전달의 목적에서 발전하여 시각적인 이미지를 강조한 대중 예술로서, 창의적이고 조형적인 특성을 가지며 그 가치를 인정받고 있다. 또한 보다 예술성 있는 패션 일러스트레이션의 창조를 위해 새로운 표현 기법에 대한 끊임없는 연구와 시도가 이루어 지고 있으며 이는 다양한 인체 표현으로 이어지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 시도는 신체의 비율이나 실루엣의 변화를 주는 범위 내에서 이루어지는 경우가 많아 보다 근본적인 관점에서 동작의 변화로 인한 운동성을 패션 일러스트레이션에 도입하고자 한다. 이는 순간의 이미지가 아닌 보다 지속적이고 확대된 범위에서 표현이 가능해 다양한 가능성을 내포하고 있다. 따라서 패션 일러스트레이션에 시간과 공간의 개념을 도입한 단계적 이미지 나열을 통해 연속 동작에 의한 패션 일러스트레이션을 표현하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구는 연결 동작을 10단계로 전개하는 과정을 통해 작품에 시간과 공간의 개념을 표현하고, 보는 사람으로 하여금 시선 이동을 통한 적극적인 참여를 유도하고자 한다. 또한 관람자로 하여금 능동적인 입장에서 관점의 자율화를 통해 단순히 바라보는 입장이 아닌 자신의 의도에 따른 다양한 해석이 가능한 작품을 표현하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 또한 수묵을 이용한 표현 기법으로 연결 동작의 동적인 이미지에 수묵의 정적인 미를 더해 다채로운 느낌을 표현하고자 한다. 본 연구는 선행 사례와 참고 문헌을 바탕으로 한 이론적 고찰을 토대로 작품 제작을 진행하였고, 크게 연속 동작과 수묵화, 패션 일러스트레이션에 대한 고찰로 나누어 분석하였다. 연속 동작에 대한 고찰은 연속 동작의 기본 개념과 시대 흐름에 따른 연속 동작의 조형적인 특징을 알아보고, 장르별 작품 사례 분석을 통해 본 작품에 도입 방법에 대해 모색하였다. 수묵화에 대한 고찰은 수묵화의 기본 개념과 재료, 표현 기법에 대해 알아보고 수묵 기법을 토대로 표현한 패션 일러스트 작품 사례를 분석하였다. 패션 일러스트레이션에 대한 고찰은 패션 일러스트레이션의 개념과 형성 배경, 역할과 분류, 다양한 표현 기법, 작품에 표현된 연속 동작의 사례에 대해 알아보았다. 이 같은 이론적 고찰을 토대로 작품 10점을 제작하였으며, 10단계 전개 과정을 통해 패션 소품을 이용한 정적인 움직임을 묘사하였다.;Today’s fashion illustration is recognized for its idiosyncratic values for its creative and plastic characteristics as a pop art stressing visual images, developing from the purpose of information conveyance in the past. Continuous research and trials have been made on new expression techniques to create more artistic fashion illustrations, leading to a variety of human body expressions. However, many of such trials have been made within the range of changes to body proportions and silhouettes, so this study aims to introduce motions due to changes in actions into fashion illustrations from a more fundamental point of view. Therefore, the goal of this study is to induce active emotional communication through averted attention points and to place autonomous views for more active stance. This study proceeds with work production based upon precedent cases and theoretical considerations from reference literature. The theoretical backgrounds are analyzed by largely breaking down into considerations on serial actions, ink-and-wash paintings and fashion illustrations. Regarding the considerations on serial actions, basic concepts and plastic characteristics of serial actions according to the trends by period are examined. Also an exploration is made on how to introduce them into the work through cases analyses of works by genre. On the other hand, the considerations on ink-and-wash paintings include basic concepts, materials and expression techniques along with case analyses of fashion illustration works based on ink-and-wash techniques. The considerations on fashion illustration lead to examinations of concepts and emergence backgrounds of fashion illustration, roles and categories and various expression techniques. Based on the theoretical considerations, ten works are produced, and static motions are described using fashion props through the ten stage development stages.
