Abstract
기존의 k차 cumulant, kurtosis 등 HOS 기반 방법들은 원신호가 i.i.d 경우에 한해 적용이 가능하다. In this paper, we propose a novel blind deconvolution algorithm for bi-level images based on high order statistics (HOS). Existing HOS-based methods suchs minimum entropy deconvolution method (MED) can be applied only for the case that the intensity values of true image are the samples of distributed random variables. However, since bi-level images has correlations between adjacent pixels in the image, the performance of the MED method is limited. To overcome the problem, another method that is based on the intensity difference between neighboring pixels was proposed. However, it is not guaranteed that the objective function of the method is maximized even for noise free image. Furthermore, noise can be amplified during the process of calculating the intensify differences, thus might mislead the estimated results. In this paper, unlike the conventional methods, the proposed method does not use unrealized i.i.d assumption. But we propose a novel objective function that incorporates a priori information that the true image is bi-level. In addition, we propose wiener filter to achieve robustness to noise. In the simulations and experiments, the proposed method outperformed the conventional MED method in terms of MSE (mean square error), BER (bit error rate).
