陶淵明 詩에 나타나는 내면적 갈등 硏究

Abstract

陶淵明(365∼427)은 '田園詩人'·'陰逸詩人'으로서 中國은 물론 韓國, 日本 문학에 많은 영향을 미친 시인이다. 歸隱한 후 자연의 도를 지켜 達人이라고 칭송된 陶淵明像은 이미 매우 당연한 것으로 수용되고 있다. 이러한 陶淵明像은 陶詩를 해석할 때도 암암리에 영향을 미쳐 왔다. 陶詩의 風格을 '平淡'·'自然'하다고 평가하는 점은 바로 이를 방증할 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 실상 陶詩를 전반적으로 고찰하였을 때, 平淡한 風格의 田園詩보다는 詩人의 내면적 갈등과 비애감이 표출 된 詠懷詩가 수적으로도 더 많은 부분을 차지하고 있음을 발견하게 된다. 본고는 이러한 데에서 문제의식을 가지고 陶淵明詩 중 갈등이 표출된 작품을 대상으로 그의 내면 세계를 고찰하였다. 陶淵明은 歸隱 후에도 懷才不遇, 隱遁 생활의 고통, 죽음의 공포 등과 같은 문제로 내면적 갈등을 겪었으며 이러한 갈등을 각기 상응하는 대응기제에 의거하여 극복하고자 하였다. 그는 이러한 갈등 극복의 과정을 통해 한정적인 존재로부터 탈피하여 초월을 지향할 수 있었다. 陶淵明은 詩經 이래로 전통적으로 답습해 온 표현수법인 壘字와 疑問詞, 否定詞를 적절히 사용하여 갈등하는 내면세계를 효과적으로 표현하였다. 또한 그는 내면에 공존하는 多數의 自我를 形·影·神으로 표현하였다. 한편 소외감을 극복하기 위해 자신을 세계에 투영하는 표현수법을 사용하였다. 이 외에도 시에 說理를 移入시켜 감성과 이성을 상호 제어함으로써 갈등을 경감시키는 동시에 敍事·敍景·敍情的 요소를 적절히 조합하여 美感과 人情을 그려내었다. 파라서 玄言詩와는 구별되는 詠懷詩의 새로운 특성을 창조할 수 있었다. 陶淵明은 阮籍 이래로 지식인의 내면적 갈등을 표현해 온 五言詩의 한 전통을 계승하여 인간의 진실된 모습을 반영함으로써 魏晉 문학에 새로운 생명력을 불어넣을 수 있었다. 그는 세속적 갈등을 초월한 達人이 아니라, 겸허한 인간으로 인간 존재의 모순에 대해 부단히 갈등하면서 이를 문학으로 승화시킨 최초의 시인으로서 평가받아야 할 것이다.;Ta'Yua­n-Ming (陶淵明) . (365-427) a Tia'n-Yua­n-Shi-Re'n (田園時代) and Yin-Yi-Shi-Re'n (隱逸時代) had a big influence on Korean and Japanese literature as well as Chinese literature. In general, people accept the theory that Ta'o-Yua­n-Ming (陶淵明) is a master-mind who retired from the society and had a self life in order to keep the truth of nature. When people interpret his poet, they are infruenced by the theory which people generally take about him. It is revealed when we notice that Ping-Da'n (平談)ㆍ Zi-Ra'n (自然) is evaluated as his typical Feng-Ge' (風格). However, we can appreciate there are more Yo˘ng-Hua'i-Shi (詠懷詩) which expressed his mental conflict and sorrow than Tia'n-Yua'n-Shi (田園詩) which has the Fe'ngGe' (風格) of Ping-Da'n (平淡) Zi-Ra'n(自然). This study started from the recognition that his typical poem is Yo˘ng-Hua'i-Shi (詠懷詩) rather than Tia'n-Yua'n-Shi (田園詩). Furthermore, I tried to think which poems can be considered as the exposure of his mental conflict and how he tried to overcome that. Ta'o-Yua­n-Ming (陶淵明) went through mental conflict which was originated from Hua'i-Ca'i-Bu'-Yu' (懷才不遇), the difficulty of the life as a Yin-Shi (隱士), the fear of death and so forth even after his retiring from the society. however, he made an effort to surmount those mental difficulties. Eventually, he tried to make himself a perfect human from an inperfect one by the process of going through those conflict. Tho-Yuan-Wing (陶淵明) depicted his conflicting mentality by means of Die'-Zi (疊字), an interrogative sentence and a negative sentence, which have been used since Shi-Jing (詩經). He recognized that his multiple selfs caused complications with one another and they existed together. Therfore, he visualized them with his unique manner in his poems. He used the way which reflect himself into the world to cope with his loneliness. In addition, he faced his conflict with an objective view and lightened that by making Shuo-li (說理) with a proper way; therefore, he made an artistic accomplishment which can not be seen in Xua'n-Ya'n-Shi (玄言詩). Ta'o-Yua­n-Ming (陶淵明) opened a new poetic genre, Tia'n-Yua'n-Shi (田園時), in addition, he caught a lyrical feature in Wu˘-Ya'n-Shi (五言詩) and animated Wu˘-Ya'n-Shi (五言詩) which had been developed as the means of expressing an intellectual's mental conflict since Rua˘n-Ji (阮籍). Ta'o-Yua­n-Ming (陶淵明) is not a master-mind who was beyond the the world, but a poet who had mental anguish about human being's contradiction and embodied that into poems.
