자기주도학습지원용 유아 멀티미디어북 스마트폰 앱의 설계 및 구현

Abstract

인터넷은 여러 상황의 사물을 멀티미디어로 다양하게 묘사한다. 이러한 인터넷 환경의 멀티미디어는 하나의 감각에서 여러 영역의 감각을 일으켜 공감각적인 활용을 가능하게 하고 심볼, 음성, 영상, 문자 등 다차원적인 언어로 의사소통을 하며 순간적인 재생과 반복을 통해 좀 더 정확하게 사물에 대해 이해가 가능하게 한다. 또한 대상 자체에 빠져 들어가는 몰입을 유도한다. 본 논문은 이러한 인터넷 환경에서 모바일 디바이스를 이용한 언제 어디서나 활용할 수 있는 스마트폰 교육 콘텐츠 BBD(Baby multimedia Book DIY)를 설계하고 제작하였다. 스마트폰은 내부 스피커가 내장되어 있고 강력한 녹음기능이 있어 스스로 녹음한 음향을 이어폰이나 외부 스피커 없이 바로 확인할 수 있으며, 작은 엔진으로 거대한 데이터 처리도 가능한 임베디드 데이터베이스인 SQLite를 사용하여 사용자가 원하는 어느 때나 용이하게 데이터를 수정 및 삭제 처리할 수 있다. 또한 스마트폰의 정전식 터치 화면은 손가락에 흐르는 미세한 전기를 감지하여 아직 힘이 약한 유아의 작고 간단한 터치만으로도 스마트폰을 조작할 수 있어 손에 닿는 촉각을 좋아하는 아이들에게 흥미를 유발시킨다. 아이들이 혼자서 노는 모습을 관찰하면 인형 등 장난감을 가지고 상황을 이야기하는 모습을 흔히 볼 수 있다. 이것은 아이의 상상력을 통하여 인형으로 상황극을 만들고 혼자말로 이야기를 만드는 것으로서 아이의 지능 및 정서 발달에 중요한 역할을 한다. BBD는 스마트폰의 강력한 사진 라이브러리기능과 녹음기능, 메시지 입력기능, 사진촬영기능, 편집기능을 이용하여 이러한 아이의 창의력 놀이를 스마트폰을 사용하여 자신만의 이야기 동화를 만들 수 있게 도와 줄 것이며, 유아의 경우는 엄마가 만들어 준 친근한 음성과 호흡을 느낄 수 있는 멀티미디어 동화책을 학습할 수 있게 할 것이다. BBD는 여러 용도로 활용이 가능하다. 시각장애인 또는 어르신들에게 책을 읽어 주는 콘텐츠 또는 여행 사진에 음성을 입혀 여행의 소소한 이야기를 사진과 함께 전해들을 수 있는 멀티미디어 사진첩 또는 텍스트를 설명해주는 학습자료 등으로도 활용 가능하다. 이렇게 제작된 콘텐츠는 소셜네트워크(페이스북, 트위터)나 공유사이트(유튜브, Flickr 등)를 통해 온 세상 사람들과 같이 나눌 수 있다. 자신이 만든 동화를 다른 사람들이 볼 수 있게 하고 다른 사람이 만든 동화를 보는 과정은 아이의 창의력 발전에 큰 도움을 줄 것이다. BBD를 통한 창작 동화와 자신만의 이야기 제작은 교육적 효과가 충분하리라고 본다.;The Internet describes objects in many situations in diverse ways through use of multimedia. The multimedia in the Internet environment arouses many different senses from one sense and enables use of synesthesia. Also, it communicates in multi-dimensional languages such as symbols, voices, videos, text, etc. and allows more accurate understanding of an object through instant playback and repetition. Moreover, it leads you to be immersed in the object itself. This thesis designed and produced a smartphone education content, BBD (Baby multimedia Book DIY), which can be used whenever and anywhere by means of mobile devices. Smartphones have internal speakers along with a powerful recording function. Therefore, it is possible to check the recorded sounds without earphones or external speakers. Also, by using the embedded database SQLite, which can process large data with a small engine, users can easily edit and delete data whenever they want to. In addition, the capacitive touch screen of the smartphone that detects a tiny amount of electricity flowing on fingers allows a small and simple touch of weak, little children to operate the smartphone. This feature arouses the interest of children who like a sense of touch on their hands. It is not uncommon to see children talking about a situation when observing them playing alone with toys such as dolls. This is a situational play created by a child’s imagination, and it plays an important role in the child’s intelligence and emotional development. BBD will help children make their own fairy tale stories based on their creative play through use of the photo library, recording, message input, photography and editing functions of a smartphone. It will also allow infants to enjoy a multimedia storybook in which they can feel their mothers’ friendly voice and breath. It would be possible to use BBD as some content to be read in other areas, a multimedia photo album explaining the stories or situations of photos, or explanatory learning materials. The contents produced can be shared with people through social networks or shared sites. The sharing of storytelling of a child’s own creation and viewing stories will be a big help for improving the child’s educational creativity.
