도시 공원의 수공간 디자인 연구

Abstract

Modern cities have made multi-layered and complex changes a society demands beyond an absolute and unified idea. Also, city spaces are required to have diversity centered on individuality escaping from standardized and closed spaces. Numerous information and media create an image differentiated from that of the past societies and make life more diversified. Such a simultaneous and multi-layered aspect made city spaces changed and caused them to have a complex and multi-functional characteristic. Especially, city parks, which have been regarded as the static rest space, are being required to be an active space supporting people's diverse behaviors. And, from the aspect of the city scenery, they influence on the image-making of the city environment. So, as the method to embrace diversity of the contemporary society and the characteristic of the individual while breaking from the existing standardized city environment, this study intended to inspect a new perspective to see a space, apply it to the space so present diversity of multi-view space through the selective movement of the space. With recent social recognition valuing much of the city image, for persons having a raised standard in satisfying their needs, it introduced a design element of water into the city space and groped for the method to overcome limitation of the city park. Through the various features of water space and their expressive application, city spaces are expected to create a new space and offer diversity. Water space will be a factor to shape a new city park meeting the demand of the times and such a space will be an image of the city as the cultural and creative living space. This study was done as the followings. In the Chap. I, describes a background, aim, range and method of the study. In the Chap. II, inspects the characteristic of the water space in the open space through the literature, classifies types according to the location and form of water space, and examines the effect of water space directing. In the Chap. III, analyzes applicative cases in the spaces based on the expressive methods of water space and examines spacial characteristics. In the Chap. IV, presents a concrete design plan applying the various expressive methods of water space after selecting the actual site and evaluates it. In the Chap. V, evaluates all the research results and identifies significance of the study. This research shows results like followings through the design study of the city park applying the expressive method of water space. First, city spaces create a new space and present diversity through application of the various features of water space and their expressive method. Water space will be a factor to make a new city park present times demand. And such a space will contribute on the image-making of the city as the cultural and creative living space. Second, as the design method to overcome limitation of the existing standardized parks and have a positive influence as the image of the city, applying expressive method of water space has its validity. As the exterior space, city parks will act as the element of making a scenic image. And water space having a formative shape will create the city environment differentiated from the existing parks. Third, a design method of water space will contribute on forming placeness of city parks and be a means to support various behaviors. The function of parks, or a device to support human various behaviors, is important. However, it's also very important to form placeness having a social and psychological meaning from the aspect to activate a space. Through this study, it was confirmed that expressive application of water space is an opportunity to expand diverse and creative thinking in the spacial expression so offers visual experience and pleasure existing space can't and improves the environment qualitatively. Therefore, this study has significance in presenting a potential for pursuing diversity escaping from uniformity of the existing parks to emphasize the functional.;현대 도시는 절대적이고 일원화된 사고에서 벗어나 사회가 요구하는 다층적이고 복합적인 변화를 가져왔고 도시 공간도 획일적이고 폐쇄적인 공간을 탈피한 다원적이고 개성중심의 다양성의 공간을 요구하게 되었다. 수많은 정보와 매체들은 과거의 어떤 사회보다 차별되는 이미지를 형성하고 다원화되는 삶을 만들어낸다. 이러한 동시적이고 다층적인 복잡한 양상은 도시 공간의 모습도 변하게 하였는데, 점차 복합적이고 다기능적인 특성을 갖게 하였다. 특히 정적인 휴식공간으로 여겨지던 도시 공원은 사람들의 다양한 행태를 지원하는 적극적인 공간으로 요구되어지고 도시경관 측면에서도 도시환경의 이미지 형성에 영향을 주게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 획일화된 도시환경을 탈피하고 현 사회의 다양성과 개개인의 특성을 담아낼 수 있는 방법으로서 공간을 바라보는 새로운 시각에 대해 알아보고 이를 공간에 적용함으로서 공간에서의 선택적 움직임을 통한 다시점 공간의 다양성을 제시하고자 한다. 오늘날 도시의 이미지를 중요하게 여기는 사회적 인식과 욕구 충족의 기준이 높아진 사람들을 위해 물이라는 디자인요소를 도시공간에 도입하여 도시공원이 가지는 한계성을 극복하기 위한 방법을 찾고자 하였다. 수공간의 다양한 특성과 표현방법 적용을 통해 도시 공간은 새로운 공간을 창출과 다양성을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 수공간은 시대가 요구하는 새로운 도시 공원의 모습을 형성하는 요인이 될 것이며 이러한 공간은 문화적이고 창조적인 생활공간으로서 도시의 이미지가 될 것이다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 과정으로 진행되었다. 제 I장에서는 연구의 배경과 목적, 범위와 방법을 서술하였다. 제 II장에서는 문헌 연구를 통해 오픈스페이스에서 물을 소재로 한 공간의 특성을 살펴보고 수공간의 위치와 형태에 따른 유형을 분류하며, 그에 따른 수공간 연출의 효과를 살펴보았다. 제 III장에서는 수공간 표현방법을 기준으로 공간에 적용된 사례를 분석하여 그 공간특성을 알아보았다. 제 IV장에서는 실제 대상지를 선정하여 다양한 수공간 표현방법을 적용한 구체적인 디자인 안을 제시하고 평가하였다. 제 V장에서는 연구의 전 과정을 통해 내린 결과를 종합, 평가하고 연구의 의의를 밝혔다. 본 연구자는 수공간 표현방법을 적용한 도시공원의 디자인 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 사실을 확인할 수 있었다 첫째, 수공간의 다양한 특성과 표현방법 적용을 통해 도시 공간은 새로운 공간 창출과 다양성을 제시한다. 수공간은 시대가 요구하는 새로운 도시 공원의 모습을 형성하는 요인이 될 것이며 이러한 공간은 문화적이고 창조적인 생활공간으로서 도시의 이미지 형성에 기여할 것이다. 둘째, 획일화된 기존 공원의 한계를 극복하고 도시의 이미지로서 긍정적 영향을 끼칠 수 있는 디자인 접근 방법으로 수공간 표현방법 적용이 타당성을 가지고 있다. 도시 공원은 외부공간으로서 도시 경관의 이미지를 형성하는 요소로 작용하며, 조형적인 형태를 갖춘 수공간은 기존의 공원과 차별화된 도시 환경을 형성할 것이다. 셋째, 수공간 디자인 표현방법은 도시공원의 장소성을 형성하는데 기여하며 다양한 행태를 지원하는 수단이 된다. 인간의 다양한 행태를 지원하는 장치로서 공원의 기능도 중요하지만 이와 더불어 사회적, 심리적인 의미를 가지는 장소성의 형성도 공간의 활성화 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 본 논문을 통해서 수공간의 표현방법 적용은 공간표현에 있어서 다양하고 창의적인 사고를 넓혀주는 계기가 되어 기존의 공간이 줄 수 없는 시각적 경험과 즐거움을 제공하며 환경의 질적인 개선을 가져올 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 기능적인 면을 강조한 기존 도시 공원의 획일성을 탈피하여 다양성을 추구할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다는 데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.
