녹[鏥] 이미지를 응용한 의상디자인

Abstract

인간의 예술에 대한 조형 의지는 자연을 통한 끊임없는 경험에 의해 이루어진다. 이는 오감에 의해 경험되어지며, 그 중 시각과 촉각에 의한 경험은 가장 직접적으로 감성을 자극하며 적극적으로 미학적인 경험에 참여케 한다. 우리의 일상을 둘러싸고 있는 모든 사물들은 다양한 질감과 색을 가지고 있으며 이 중 자연현상으로 인해 나타난 질감적 형상들의 독특한 조형성은 예술미의 전제가 되며 자연미로써 미학적 가치를 지닌다. 이에 본 연구는 우리의 주변 환경 속 사물의 녹(鏥)에 관심을 가지고 자연현상에 의해 발생되는 녹의 질감, 자유로운 형태, 색상의 변화와 같은 조형성이 예술적 모티브로서 무한한 가능성이 있음을 발견하여 작품의 모티브로 도입하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 자연현상에서 나타나는 자연스러운 조형적 특징을 지닌 녹슨 이미지를 패턴으로 재구성하여 독창적인 표현영역의 확대와 조형예술로서 가치를 둔 의상디자인을 창출하는데 있다. 연구를 위한 방법으로 국내외 문헌적 연구와 실증적 고찰에 의한 방법을 토대로 녹에 대한 개념 및 특징에 대해 살펴보고 국내외 사진자료, 전자문헌 등을 통해 조형적 특징을 분석하였으며 녹과 연관되는 여러 가지 이미지를 상정한 다양한 범주의 조형 활동에 대해 알아보았다. 표현기법으로는 디지털 텍스타일 프린팅(Digital Textile Printing)의 개념과 생산 과정에 대해 살펴보고 디지털 텍스타일 프린팅을 활용한 현대복식 사례에 대해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 작품 모티브는 녹이 슨 구조에서 얻는 유기적인 패턴과 안료와의 과감한 색상대비에서 오는 감성적이고 예술적인 특징이 돋보이는 ‘東理夫’의 작품집 ‘錆’에서 8개의 녹 이미지를 선택하고 Computer graphic Tool(CAD, Photoshop) 프로그램을 이용하여 본 작품의 사이즈에 맞추어 녹의 패턴을 변형, 재구성하였다. 이 과정에서 반복, 점진, 율동, 대비, 강조, 조화 등의 조형원리와 조화시켜 독자적인 조형 활동을 표현하였으며 이를 통해 총 8벌의 의상을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 작품제작을 통한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연현상으로 인해 나타나는 녹은 금속표면과의 상이한 재질감의 결합으로 각각의 독특한 조형적 특징이 나타나며 다양한 패턴의 조화는 풍부한 미적가치를 지니고 있다. 이러한 요소는 예술의 새롭고 중요한 소재로 풍부한 예술적 원천의 모티브로 사용할 수 있음을 발견하였다. 둘째, 녹의 상이한 질감을 가진 다양한 패턴과 빛(석양)에 따라 녹에서 나타나는 따듯한 색과 정제되지 않은 형태의 느낌을 시각적으로 잘 표현한 ‘東理夫’의 작품집 ‘錆’의 녹 이미지를 본 연구 작품에 모티브로 사용함으로써 감각적인 개성과 특별한 감성을 부여할 수 있었으며 자연에서 오는 회화적이며 추상적인 패턴과 독특한 색감의 조화가 돋보이는 창의적인 의상 디자인을 창출할 수 있었다. 셋째, 녹의 자연스러운 느낌을 강조하고자 Computer Graphic Tool을 활용하여 녹 이미지를 변형, 재구성하고 반복, 점진, 율동, 대비, 강조, 조화 등의 조형원리를 의상에 맞게 재구성하여 적용함으로써 단순한 실루엣에 강렬한 패턴이 돋보이는 독창성 있는 디자인을 전개할 수 있었다. 넷째, 디지털 텍스타일 프린팅 방법은 녹의 질감 표현에 의한 시각적 효과를 유도하기 위해 효과적인 표현 기법으로 활용되었으며 고급스러운 매쉬실크, 오간자실크와 같이 염색이 용이한 자연소재와 합성섬유에 DTP함으로써 녹의 자연스러운 형태와 세밀한 질감표현, 독특한 색감을 표출시킬 수 있었으며 시각적 효과와 촉감을 만족시킬 수 있는 독특한 감성의 디자인을 통해 고부가가치 의상디자인을 창출할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 자연현상에 의해 발생하는 녹의 다양한 조형성을 재발견함으로써 자연미 속에 감추어진 독특한 감성을 작품에 반영하여 조형예술로서 가치를 둔 독창적이고 개성적인 패턴의 의상 디자인을 창출할 수 있었다. 앞으로 녹의 조형성을 현대 디자인과 의상디자인에 접목시킴으로써 감성적이고 개성적인 예술적 모티브로 연구개발이 활발해 지기를 기대한다.;Human desire for modeling factor has been completed ceaselessly by experience through nature. This is experienced by five senses, and experience by vision and auditory sense is the most direct, incurs our emotion and makes us join at the aesthetic experience very aggressively. All the matters surrounding our routine life have various feels of materials and colors, and the modeling factor of these natural matters become the premise of beauty of art and have aesthetic values as natural beauty. In this study, the author takes an interest in rust of matters around our environment where we live, found that the modeling factor such as the change in the patterns and colors of free feels of materials seen from the rust occurred by certain natural phenomenon has infinite possibility and then tried to induce the rust as the motive of the author's works. The purpose of this study is to reorganize any rusty image including natural modeling characteristic presented from the natural phenomenon to certain patterns in order to create the fashion design that are valued in the expansion of independently expressional area and modeling art. As a method for research, the author analyzed the concept and characteristic for rust with a base of theoretical background by the documental research and realistic consideration, analyzed its modeling characteristic through domestic and overseas pictures, and e-documents as data, inspected the modeling activities of various categories that various images were adapted related to rust, looked into the concept of Digital Textile Printing and its producing procedure as an expressional method, and analyzed the examples of modern dress and its ornament making use of Digital Textile Printing. The motive of this study for the author's works is 8 images of rust having various emotional and artistic factors coming from the bold contrast between organic patterns and painting materials (pigments) acquired from the pictures of rusty structures seen from the works, Donginji's Rust. So, the author deformed and reorganized the patterns of rust suitable for the size of this works, making use of Computer graphic Tool(CAD, PhotoshopCS) program. In this process, harmonizing with the modeling principles such as modeling principles such as repetition, increment, rhythm, contract, emphasis and harmony, the author expressed independent modeling activity and produced total 8 suits of dress. The conclusions of this study are as below. First, the rust occurred due to the natural phenomenon is the bond with different material like metal, each unique modeling characteristic occurs and harmony of various patterns has abundant aesthetic value. These factors were found to be used as the motive of rich artistic resource ad new and important materials of art. Second, the author could endowed sensible characteristic and speciality with works and could produce creative fashion design that painting, abstractive pattern and harmony of unique sense of colors are significant by using the image of rust, Donginji's works, various patterns having different feels of materials for rust, warm colors derived from rust according to the light (the setting sun) and rough feel of shape was expressed visually. Third, to emphasize natural feeling of rust, the author could develop creative design that simple silhouette and impressive pattern look significant by reorganizing and applying rust according to repetition, increment, rhythm, contract, emphasis and harmony. Fourth, Digital Textile Printing method is used to induce visual effect by the expression of feels of rust, and the author could express the natural patterns, delicate expression for the feels of a material and unique design of emotion, and could create high value-added fashion design with unique emotion satisfying visual effect and sense of touch by matching (DTP) the easy dying applied natural materials such as luxury mesh silk and organza silk with synthesis fibers. Like this, by searching various modeling factors of rust occurred by natural phenomenon, the author could be touched by certain attraction hidden in the beauty of nature, reflect this feeling in to the works and confirm the creation of independent and characteristic pattern expressed fashion design. In the future, the rusty modeling factor shall be developed as emotional and characteristic motive by adding the factor to modern design and fashion design.
