공감능력과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 용서의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 기혼남녀의 결혼만족도에 대한 인과구조 모형을 검증하고, 연구모형의 남녀 집단 차이를 알기 위해 다집단 동시 분석을 실시하는 것이다. 공감능력과 용서가 결혼만족도에 영향을 줄 것이며, 용서가 공감능력과 결혼만족도 사이를 매개한다는 구조방정식 모형을 설정하여 검증하였다. 또한, 본 연구의 모형이 성별에 따라 차이를 보이는지 밝히기 위해 구조방정식을 이용한 다집단 동시 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 연구문제 1) 기혼남녀의 공감능력과 결혼만족도 사이를 용서가 매개하는 모형을 검증한다. 연구문제 2) 기혼 남녀의 결혼만족도 모형의 전체 경로에서 성별에 따른 집단 간 차이가 있는가? 위의 연구문제를 검증하기 위해 서울, 경기도에 거주하고 있는 기혼남녀 529명(남성 257명, 여성 272명)을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. SPSS 14.0을 이용하여 수집된 자료에 대한 기술적 통계와 집단 차이 및 상관관계를 분석하였고, AMOS 7.0을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형 및 다집단 동시 분석을 실시함으로써 본 연구의 모형을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구의 모형이 좋은 적합도를 가진 것으로 나타났으며, 공감능력 과 용서 모두 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 용서의 매개효과 모형의 추정 결과 약 57%가 용서의 매개효과에 의해 설명되었다. 그리고 이 매개모형이 완전매개모형과 부분매개모형 중 어느 모형이 더 적합한지 결정하기 위해 차이검증을 실시한 결과, 부분매개모형이 지지되었다. 둘째, 연구 모형에 있어서 남녀 차이를 보기 위하여 남녀 집단별로 다집단 분석을 실시한 결과 집단 간 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기혼남성의 경우 공감능력과 용서가 각각 결혼만족도의 지각에 직접영향을 미쳤으나 용서를 통한 결혼만족도에 대한 공감의 간접영향은 의미가 없었다. 기혼여성의 경우 공감능력이 용서를 매개로 하여 결혼만족도에 간접영향을 미치는 것이 유의한 반면 공감능력이 결혼만족도에 미치는 직접영향은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 기혼남녀 모두 용서가 결혼만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 용서를 촉진시키는 심리적인 변인에는 남녀의 차이가 있음을 착안하여 기혼남녀의 용서의 수준을 효과적으로 높이기 위해서 성에 따른 그들의 심리적 변인을 파악하고 부부치료 개입의 방향성을 제공할 수 있다는 상담적 함의를 가진다.;The purpose of this study is to examine the causal structural model of marital satisfaction and to make a multi-group simultaneous analysis in order to find gender differences in the causal model. The research model hypothesized that empathy and forgiveness would affect marital satisfaction, and forgiveness would mediate between empathy and marital satisfaction. Also, multi-group simultaneous analysis was accomplished to find if there would be a gender difference in the causal structural model or not. Below is the subject of this research: The research 1) it examined the mediate model of forgiveness in the empathy and marital satisfaction. The research 2) Does this marital satisfaction model have group difference in gender? To verify the subjects above, 529 samples(males: 257, females: 272) in Seoul and Gyeong-gi were given the questionnaire and analyzed for the research model. In order to examine the descriptive statistics, differences between groups and correlation with variables, the statistical package SPSS v.14.0 was used. In addition, AMOS v.7.0 was used for a structural equation model analysis and multi-group simultaneous analysis. Major findings in this study are as follow: First, this research model showed the reasonable fitness in the analysis of structural equation model, and all of empathy and forgiveness affect the marital satisfaction. Also, approximate result of the mediating effect model of forgiveness shows that 57% of total paths explains the mediating effect of forgiveness. The partial mediating model is supportive as more suitable for the mediating effect than the full mediating model in the verification experiment of different models. Second, the result of multi-group simultaneous analysis shows that there are gender differences. In case of male group, the results indicated that empathy and forgiveness effect on marital satisfaction directly, but indirect effect of empathy on marital satisfaction through forgiveness was insignificant. In the case of female group, on the other hands, the results showed significant indirect effect of empathy on marital satisfaction through forgiveness, while the direct of empathy on marital satisfaction was insignificant. Through this study, the significant effect of the forgiveness on marital satisfaction was confirmed. Since there is a gender difference in facilitating forgiveness, however, it is necessary that the psychological variable by gender should be catched in order to raise pardon standard effectively, which will show the direction of couple counseling.
