Edvard Grieg의 Violin Sonata in c minor No.3 Op.45의 분석 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 그리그(Edvard Grieg, 1843-1907)의 Violin Sonata in c minor No. 3, Op.45가 작곡된 시기의 시대적 배경과 작곡가의 생애 및 작품에 대해 연구하고 작품의 음악적 특징들을 분석함으로써 작품에 대한 이해를 넓히며 궁극적으로 연주에 도움을 얻고자 함을 목적으로 한다. 서양 음악 역사 속에서 독일과 이탈리아 등 서유럽의 음악적 영향 아래 있던 많은 음악가들은 19세기 후반에 이르러 자신이 속한 나라의 민족적 색채와 양식에 대해 관심을 갖게 되었다. 그 결과 러시아와 동부 유럽을 중심으로 민족주의(Nationalism) 음악 사조가 탄생하게 되었는데, 이것은 낭만주의 음악의 토대가 되어 많은 음악가들에게 창작과 연주의 영감을 불러일으켰다. 이 시기의 작곡가 중 한 사람인 그리그는 자신의 조국 노르웨이의 민요에서 많은 영감을 받아 활발한 작품 활동을 영위하였다. 또한 그는 노르웨이의 민속 음악과 국민적 정서를 자신의 작품 속에서 음악적인 아이디어로 승화시켜 노르웨이는 물론 북유럽을 대표하여 세계 민족주의 음악 사조에서 큰 영향력을 미치게 되었다. 본 논문에서 연구하게 될 그리그의 Violin Sonata in c minor No.3, Op.45는 노르웨이의 전통적 색채와 풍부한 음악적 영감이 어우러진 그리그의 대표적인 작품으로 평가되고 있다.;This thesis introduces life and works of Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) and phases of the time when the Violin Sonata No. 3. Op 45 composed. It analyzes musical characteristics of the works of Grieg, to enhance the appreciation of each composition and ultimately to support actual performance. In the history of European Music, toward the end of the 19^(th)century, a considerable number of composers under the influence of West-European countries started to show interest in their national music and their cultural background. As a result, the rise of Nationalism in music started in Russia and Eastern Europe a sitsepicenter. Finally, Nationalism formed the basis of the Romanticism and inspired many composers to compose and perform various works. Grieg, a great composer of the day, drew inspiration from Norwegian folk songs and composed bundant pieces. By harmonizing Norwegian folk music and national trait in his musical ideas, Grieg represented not only Norway but also the whole Scandinavian Peninsula and significantly influenced the world Nationalism musictrend. The Violin Sonata No. 3. Op 45 of Edvard Grieg is appraised as one of his masterpieces.
