정수연의 Rhapsody for Piano(2007) 분석 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 정수연의 Rhapsody for Piano(2007) 의 음악적 특징을 형식과 음정, 템포, 리듬을 중심으로 분석함으로써 작품의 전개방식과 작곡기법의 특징을 알아보고자 한다. 이 곡은 랩소디의 형식과 성격을 담아 작곡한 피아노 독주곡이다. 랩소디는 그리스 무반주 서사시에서 유래하여 비교적 자유로운 형식으로 나타나는 환상곡풍의 기악곡이다. 형식적으로는 크게 세 부분으로 이루어지는데, 서로 대조되는 성격의 두 부분과 다시 돌아오는 부분으로 구성되어 전통적인 랩소디의 형식을 따른다. 또한 국악의 민요조 5음 음계를 활용하여 선택한 음들을 섹션별 중심음으로 사용하고 곡에 주요한 동기로 나타나는 트릴 음형은 국악의 특징적 요소 중 하나인 요성을 상징하여 랩소디가 가지는 민족적 색채를 표현하고자 한다. 한편, 무조음악에서 보이는 음정관계의 제스처를 활용하여 각 섹션에서 강조되는 중심음으로부터의 음정간격이 확대 및 변화 되고, 사용된 음정은 수직·수평적으로 대칭성을 보인다.;During the twentieth century, composers began to create new methods on their works. Various musical languages and numerous ideas spread out to become new trends or styles. With new sound sources and treatments, atonal music was written escaping from traditional tonal system. Rhapsody for Piano(2007) is an atonal piece for solo piano written in the current of the times. As stated in the title, the piece follows the form and character of 'rhapsody', and proceeds the work applying intervallic gestures based on atonal music. Rhapsody derives from Greek epic poetry without instrumental accompaniment. It became fantasia-like instrumental piece. It implied three-part song form in usual, including contrasting parts and recapitulation. But it flows quite freely. Rhapsody for Piano(2007) followed the traditional form of rhapsody. Three parts are composed of movable part A, static part B and returing A'. In part A and A' four principle segments develope in sectional form and succession of chords variates as gradual changing of tempo, register and dynamics. The symmetry and contrast of interval structure appear through the whole work. It develop with extension of intervals on linear or vertical dimensions. To include nationalistic associations, center tones are selected based on Korean folk pentachord. Trills reflecting "Yo-seong", the thrilling tone in Korean music are put and they are treated as essential figures. Rhapsody for Piano(2007) is atonal piece for solo piano which goes with the form and character of traditional rhapsodic style, continuously showing the symmetry and contrast of interval by structural tone arrangement. The purpose of the thesis is to find out the gesture of rhapsody and to clear the structure and texture of the piece by analysing musical elements concretely.
