Edvard Grieg의 Violin Sonata in C minor No.3 Op.45의 분석 및 연구

Abstract

Grieg's Sonata No.3, op.45 represents Norway's nationalism. It well expresses late romanticism characteristic and his nationalistic composition techniques. Through this piece, he shows certain music characteristics as following: This sonata is composed of three movements. The first movement has a sonata form with three themes and coda. the second movement has a three fragments with allegretto and allegro molto. The third movement is also in new sonata form and it has a short coda and two themes. As a complete piece, It tends to have few factors which seems to be lack of balancing. However, it is known as a great piece by setting base on late romantic music and evading standard form which delivers the factor of nationalistic music. This study was help to understanding 「Edvard Grieg`s Violin Sonata in C minor No.3 op.45」better as well as the nationalism of Norway in the late 19th century.;연주자에게 있어 자신이 연주하는 곡을 스스로 분석해 내고 충분히 이해하는 것은 필요한 작업이다. 그 곡이 쓰여진 시대의 특징, 작곡가의 생애, 작품의 배경을 알고 작품을 접한다면 작품에 대한 태도는 달라질 것이다. 또한 분석을 통해 이해한 형식, 화성, 리듬, 등의 음악 요소는 곡을 연주하는 데 많은 도움을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문은 석사 과정 졸업 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품들 중 Edvard Grieg의 Violin Sonata in C minor No.3 op.45를 분석. 고찰한 내용이다. Edvard Grieg는 19세기 후반에서 20세기 초에 활동한 민족주의 음악가의 한 사람으로서 낭만주의 음악을 바탕으로 노르웨이의 민속음악과 국민성을 음악적으로 잘 승화시킨 노르웨이의 대표적인 작곡가이다. 서정 가곡이나 피아노 소품에서 협주곡이나 교향곡까지 그의 민족적 정서가 잘 나타나 있고 당시 사회적 조류를 이루었던 민족주의는 독자적인 국민음악을 수립하는 데 큰 역할을 하였다. Edvard Grieg의 민족적 정서가 뚜렷하게 나타나는 작품 Violin Sonata in C minor No.3 op.45는 그가 이미 작곡가로서 성공한 후에 작곡된 곡으로 실내악다운 요소와 협주곡의 효과를 느끼게 하는 요소가 교차되어 있으며, 노르웨이 민속적 선율과 북유럽 적인 선율이 빈번히 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 그리그가 활동했던 사회적 배경과 그로 인한 음악적 특징을 이 곡을 통하여 보다 잘 이해할 수 있도록 분석. 연구해 보았다.
