徐廷柱詩의 想像力 硏究

Abstract

Suh Jeung - Ju is one of the poets who have achieved a various and influential poetic world for a long time. This achivement is a few things in the Korean Modern Poetic History. Thus mostly the study of Suh Jeung - Ju's poetry has been made on the examination of the various aspects of this achivement. This thesis purposes to examine the movements of the imagination through the dynamic changes of images which appears in his poems. When we meet with the fundamental consciousness of the poet, which makes possible this variosity of the poetic world, we truly understand the poetry of Suh Jeung - Ju. In chapter one, I suppose the theory of the consio-phenomenological study which takes a serious view of the dynamic system of the imagination. Because the reader sympathize with the consciousness of the poet in the movement of the imagination. And I examine the problems of existing studies. In chapter two, analyzing the poem, "Hak (crane)", which shows the entire imaginative structure of Suh Jeung - Ju's poetry, I find out the characteristic attitude of Suh Jeung - Ju which his aspiration intend to. It is preceeded by the analysis of his major poems. And then it is revealed that the characteristics of his imaginative structure is one of a "Fluid." So to speak, Suh Jeung - Ju's poetry shows that the conflict of opposing condition--"knotting" and "flowing," "restriction" and "freedom," actuality" and "eternity"-- is resolved by the movement of "fluid," that is the fluent attitude. This imagination of a "fluid" appears in his poems as follows. Above all, a firce "blood" is transformed into a stable "light" of a "flower" and "jewel." And "water's evaporation" comes to an end in a "cloud," "sound" is completed to a low-fluent songs, "flower" is in beautiful bloom. This transformation of the imagery shows that fluent "flowing" can keeps the nature of material in spite of the ceasless movement. The imagination of a "fluid" is closely related to the fact that Suh Jeung - Ju want to resolve the difficulty of the actual world, affirming the life style of all existence in this world. This affirmation of living thing, namely life, is correspond to his negative consciousness of the extinction of the existence. Finally, it comes to a conclusion that the imagination of a "fluid," that is the fundamental movement of Suh Jeung - Ju's poetic imagery, is the attitude of reaching the eternity with his inner resources, which comprehend the conflict of the actuactuality, and his affirmation of a life.;徐 廷柱는 韓國 現代 詩文學史에서는 드물게 오랜 詩作 生活을 통해 다양하고 폭넓은 詩世界를 이룬 詩人의 한 사람이다. 따라서 많은 旣存 硏究가 詩人의 다양한 詩世界의 양상을 규명하는데 重點을 두고 있다. 本 論文에서는 徐 廷柱의 詩를 진정으로 이해하기 위해서는 이 다양한 詩世界를 가능케하는 근본적인 詩人의 意識과 만나야 한다고 생각되어 詩에 나타난 이미지의 力動的인 변화를 통해 상상력의 움직임을 살펴보고자 했다. 따라서 Ⅰ장에서는 독자는 상상력의 움직임 속에서 시인의 意識에 共感하게 될 수 있으므로 그 想像力의 力動的인 體系에 관심을 갖는 文學 現象學的 批評方法의 理論을 제시한 다음 旣存 硏究의 問題點을 살펴보았다. Ⅱ장에서는 徐 廷柱의 全體的인 想像力의 秩序를 드러내는 詩인 「鶴」을 分析하여 徐 廷柱의 독특한 志向的 體驗을 究明하였다. 이의 結果에 근거해서 그의 詩 全體를 대상으로 分析한 결과 그의 독특한 想像力의 秩序가 "流體性"임을 알 수 있었다. 즉 徐 廷柱의 詩는 "맺힘"과 "흐름", "拘束"과 "自由", "現實"과 "永遠"의 對立되는 상태의 갈등을 流體性의 움직임 즉 부드러움의 태도로 감싸안아 解決하고자 하였다. 이러한 "流體性의 想像力"은 격렬한 "피"가 "꽃"과 "보석"의 安定된 빛으로 변이되는 과정을 통해 표현된다. 또한 "구름에서 기화하기를 멈추는 물", 나직하고 부드러운 노래소리", "활짝 피어 있는 꽃"의 이미지도 끊임없는 움직임 속에서 質料性을 잃지 않는 安定된 흐름, 즉 流體性을 드러내는 것이다. "流體性의 想像力"은 徐 廷柱가 現實과 現實 世界 안에서의 어떠한 存在方式에 대해서도 肯定하는 態度로 現實의 어려움을 解決하고자 하는 것과 밀접히 연결된다. 이러한 徐 廷柱의 살아있는 存在, 즉 生命에 대한 肯定은 存在의 完全한 소멸에 대한 그의 否定的인 意識과 일치된다. 결국 徐 廷柱의 詩의 根本的인 움직임이 되는 流體性의 想像力은 詩人의 生命에 대한 肯定과 現實의 갈등을 포용하는 여유로써 永遠에 참여하는 態度로 귀착되는 것이다.
