濁流의 意味構造 硏究

Abstract

본 연구는 蔡萬植의 대표적인 장편소설 「濁流」가 화자의 시점을 중심으로 주제를 표현하고 의미구조를 형성하고 있음을 밝혔다. 「獨流」의 화자는 인물보다 知的 능력이 우월한 화자＞인물 시점이므로 작중현실에 직접·간접으로 개입한다. 화자＞인물 시점의 화자는 작중현실에 개입해, 묘사에서 인물을 부정적으로 표현하고, 서술에서 사회현실을 비판하며, 운명론적 세계관을 보여주는 의미구조를 형성해, 改善되지 않는 삶의 모습을 보여준다. 19개의 章은 화자의 개입으로 인해 확산과 집중의 전개방식을 이루고 있다. 그리하여 「獨流」의 竝立的 構造는 다양한 인물의 성격을 표현하며 順次的 構造는 사건의 前·後가 대비되는 구조를 보인다. 順次的 構造는 竝立的 構造가 표현하는 인물의 성격에 따라 사건 前·後가 동일한 순환구조를 보이기도 하고 비극구조를 보이기도 한다. 分章의 구성 양식에서는 각 章이 독립적인 의미를 가진다. 각 章은 인물들의 성격을 표현하는데 화자의 개입으로 인해 개인적 의미와 사회적 의미가 대립되는 구조를 보인다. 「濁流」는 순환구조와 비극구조를 통해 운명적이고 비극적인 삶의 모습을 표현하며, 한편으로 인물의 개인적 의미와 사회적 의미를 대립시켜 운명적이고 비극적인 삶이 사회적 산물임을 나타낸다.;The purpose of this thesis is to examine closely how the techniques used in Takryu(濁流), the representative novel of Chae, Man-sik, expresses the theme effectively by means of taking the didactical point of view with the will of judge. The narrator of Takryu is an omniscient person whose intellectual ability is superior to all characters in this novel. Thus he interferes in the fictional reality directly or indirectly. And the respect of which the author intends to describe the personality of each character in each chapter gives an independent meaning to the structure of the novel which is devided into nineteen chapters. According to the interference of the narrator, each chapter shows the extending pattern of spreading and concentration. Therefore, it can be assumed that the paragramatic structure of Takryu shows the contrast between each character and the syntatic structure reveals the contrast between before and after the event. The syntatic structure shows not only the circle structure in which the before and after the event are the same, but the structure of tragedy. In addition, each chapter, interfered by the view of the narrator, show us the structure of irony. That is, the personal meaning and the social meaning are confronted with each other in its own structure. The view of narrator is the didactical one with the will of judge. Futhermore, on its description its view expresses characters negatively and on its narration it criticizes the social reality. It also tells the unimproved aspect of life through establishing the meaning structure of fatalistic view of the world.
