新幹會에 參與한 社會主義者들의 反帝統一戰線論 硏究

Abstract

본 연구는 식민지시기 국내 사회주의자들의 反帝國主義統一戰線의 이론 및 실천을 新幹會運動을 중심으로 고찰하고자 하였다. 이와 같은 연구주제의 설정은 朝鮮共産黨에 대한 기존의 평가를 비판적으로 재검토해보려는 문제의식에서 기인한 것이다. 즉, 조선공산당이 수행한 반제통일전선의 전개과정을 통해서 사회주의자들이 당면 변혁에서 노동계급의 역량을 강화하고 그 지도 하에 대중을 획득하기 위해 투쟁했음을 밝히고자 하였다. 1926년말 사회주의자들은 노동계급을 위시한 민중의 정치세력화, 즉 政治鬪爭으로의 전면적 진출에 중점을 두고 '方向轉換論'을 제창하였다. 이에 따라 사회주의자들은 노동계급이 주체가 된 反帝鬪爭을 적극 모색하는 한편, '反帝反封建 民主主義革命' 과제를 완수하기 위한 구체적 전술로써 통일전선체 新幹會에 참여하였다. 그러나 당시 이들은 당면 변혁의 궁극적 변혁으로의 성장과 그 추동력에 관한 구체적인 像을 갖고 있지 못하였다. 신간회 창립 당시 나타난 勞動階級 獨自性의 해소는 여기서 연유된 右傾的 오류라 할 수 있다. 1920년대 후반부터 당면 변혁의 성장 전망이 보다 명확해지고 노동계급 독자성의 의의 또한 재인식되기에 이른다. 그리하여 신간회에서 노동계급 독자성을 확보하기 위한 구체적 방안이 집중적으로 논의되었다. 그러나 1930년대에 접어들면서 정세의 긴박함에 추동된 사회주의자들은 노동계급의 지도가 관철되는 새로운 통일전선, 즉 좌익블럭의 구축을 고조하였다. 신간회 解消論은 그것의 반영이다. 解消를 주도한 사회주의자들은 上層統一戰線의 조직을 부정하고 나아가 비타협적 민족주의자에 대한 '타격을 통한 고립화 ' 정책을 취하였다. 이는 좌익블럭전술을 현실에 기계적으로 적용하는 과정에서 나타난 전술운용상의, 나아가 노선상의 左偏向이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 1920년대 후반에서 30년대 초까지 사회주의자들의 반제통일전선운동은 기본적으로 노동계급의 관점에서 대중을 조직, 동원하여 당면 변혁을 완수하려 한 노력의 일단을 보여준다. 그것은 自派의 이익과 주도권 확보 만을 노린 宗派分子의 派爭과는 근본적으로 다르며, 오히려 반제반봉건 민주주의 혁명의 전략규정에 조응하는 올바른 투쟁노선으로 수립, 실천되었던 것이다.;This study is aimed at exploring the theory of "anti-imperialism united front" pursued by Korean communists until the time of Shingan-hoe's dissolution in 1931. The alleged sectionalism of the Choson Communist Party can be reevaluated by reviewing how the party members and other communists viewed and practiced the theory. This study tries to vindicate that the communists, in their struggle to achieve revolution, used the tactics prescrib ed by the theory in strengthening the labor class and earning the approval of the grassroots under the class's leadership. This point calls for a change of the prevalent understanding of the "anti-imperialism united front" as a mere surety for the settlement of the nation's problem. The "anti-imperialism united front" should be recognized as tactics designed to secure the independence of the labor class in the process of the "anti-imperialism, anti-feudalism, democratic revolution." At the end of 1926, the communists demanded the laborers and other grassroots shift the focus of their struggle from economic to political sectors. The change of direction motivated the labor class to positively seek ways of fighting against imperialism, and encouraged the communists to join Shingan-hoe. During the latter half of the 1920s, the communists began to recognize the significance of the independence of the labor class as the nature of the imminent revolution became clear. The communists pondered on the nature and role of Shingan-hoe and discussed with particular emphasis the ways of securing the independence of the labor class. However, in the 1930s, following the dissolution of Shinganhoe and amid mounting socio-political tension, the communists pushed a drive to form the "leftists' bloc." The communists, who had masterminded the dissolution of Shingan-hoe, denied the "upper-level united front" and worked out tactics to crush the "uncompromising nationalists." The communists may be said to have committed a "leftism-centered fallacy" by mechanically applying the "leftists' bloc" tactics to the reality, but this fallacy should not be exploited as the ground for branding the communists as sectarians. In conclusion, it is proper to say that the communists showed through the "anti-imperialism united front" the efforts to organize and mobilize the grassroots to achieve revolution from the standpoint of the labor class. The theory of "anti-imperialism united front" did not seed the sectional strife for hegemony among the communists but was established and practiced as the right guideline for "anti-imperialism, anti-feudalism, democratic revolution."
