유아기자녀의 아버지 역할에 관한 연구

Abstract

모든 심리학자들은 전 생애의 발달을 결정짓는 시기인유아기의 경험에 영향을 주는 요인 중 부모환경이 가장 영향력이 크다는 점에서 합의하고 있다. 특히 최근의 많은 연구들은 아버지의 역할이 제반 발달영역에서 결정적인 역할을 한다고 보고하였다. 이에 아버지의 역할이 매우 소극적이고 제한된 우리의 현실에서 아버지의 역할에 대한 인식을 알아봄은 중요한 의의를 갖는다. 본 연구의 목적은 문헌연구를 통해 아버지역할의 개념을 정립하므로써 아버지교육 프로그램의 필요성을 강조하고, 유아기 자녀의 아버지를 대상으로 아버지역할에 대한 인식을 조사 분석하여 효과적인 아버지교육 및 유아교육의 방향을 모색하기 위한 기초자료를 얻는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 관계 문헌을 참고로, 본 연구자가 작성한 질문지를 서울시와 경기도의 직장인 610명을 대상으로 조사하여 전체적 경향과 연령·학력·종교 등의 변인별로 비교 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 자녀 교육의 주된 담당자는 어머니라는 견해가 지배적으로, 취업모는 자녀에게 절대적인 지장을 초래한다고 하였다. 2. 자녀와 함께 지내는 시간은 평일과 휴일 모두 충분히 못하였으며, 대부분의 아버지들은 시간만 있다면 자녀와 충분히 같이 지내겠다는 의향을 갖고 있었다. 3. 어머니는 자녀의 정서안정·일상양육·기초학습 등 자녀의 생활과 교육의 전반을 담당하고, 아버지는 경제적 제공자로써의 도구적 역할을 담당하는 것이라는 견해를 갖고 있었다. 4. 자녀의 성별에 따라 성격과 직업을 다르게 기대하며 놀이활동에서도 성유형화된 놀이를 강조하는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 아버지교육 프로그램의 필요성을 대부분 절감하고 있었으며, 책 팜프렛·메스콤 등의 간편한 방법을 통해, 자녀와의 친근한 대화법을 가르치길 원했다. 6. 대부분 민주적 자녀교육관을 가졌으며, 유아교육기관의 필요성을 절감하고 그 교육 내용은 전인적 발랄을 위한 경험 활동을 원했다. 이상과 같이 아버지 역할이 경제적 제공자로서만 머물러있는 우리현실에서, "자녀교육에 결정적 역할자"라는 아버지 역할 개념을 재인식하여 보다 효과적인 유아 교육을 달성할 아버지교육 프로그램의 개발과 실시가 절실히 요청된다고 하겠다.;All psychologist agree on the point that the parents-environments have the greatest influencing power among the factors affecting experience of the early childhood, which determines the development of man's whole Life. Of particular lately many studies have been reported that the paternal role plays fatal part in the several developmental domain. Therefore, it is very significant to get hold of the recognition of paternal role in our circumstances where the paternal role is extremely Limited and passive. The purpose of th is paper is to emphasize the necessity of program educating fathers by standing the definition of paternal role through the philological research, to investigate and analyze the recognition of paternal role on fathers whose children are in the period of childhood in order to attain the elemental materials that shall indicate the direction of effective education of fathers and child. For this purpose, this investigator had drown up a questionnaire with reference to the relating bibliography, then made a survey on 610 people who is engaged in occupation throughout Kyung-Ki province and Seoul, and compared to analyse according to the variable factors, such as, total tendency, age, academic career, religion, and so on. Now the results are as follows: First, the opinion that mother is the major person in charge of the children's education is dominant. Therefore, it is thought that mother's employment will cause the absolute hindrance in educating children. Second, since the hours that they spent in home with their children was not sufficient, they are willing to be with children if they have time. Third, they had on opinion that children's life and education in their totality, such as their emotional rest, common bring up, basic learning, are in mother's charge and instrumental role as a financial offerer is in father's charge. Forth, they expected children's different character and occupation according to sexual difference and also showed to emphasize the exually patterned play in playing activity. Fifth, they felt keenly the necessities of programs educating fathers and wanted to be learned the way to converse with their children intimately, by expediant means, namely, books, pamplets, and mass-communication. Sixth, they mostly had the democratic view in educating children and strongly felt the necessity of institution of childhood education, contents of which are experiences for the development of whole personality. Seeing that paternal role is limited as financial offerer in our real circumstances, it is urgently requested to develope and practice the program which will carry out the effective childhood education by re-realize the definition of parternal role as the fatal factor in educating children.
