홍성지의 "String Quartet No. 1" 분석

Abstract

19세기 말 부터 시작된 조성의 붕괴는 쉔베르크 (Anold Schoenberg)를 중심으로 한 제 2 비엔나 악파 (The Second Viennese school)에 의해 무조음악(Atonality Music)이 등장하며, 완전히 조성으로부터 벗어나게 된다. 본 논문은 이러한 무조적 개념을 토대로 하여 쓰여진 본인의 작품 < String Quartet No. 1>을 각 악장 별로 구분 (section)을 중심으로 분석한 것이다. 이 곡은 세 개의 악장으로 구성되었으며, 각 악장은 여러 개의 구분(section)으로 구성되어있다. 1, 2악장은 A, B, A'으로 구성되어 있으며, 3악장은 A, B, A', B' A"의 Section으로 구성되어 있다. 작품 전체에 걸쳐서 나타나는 특징적 요소와 그 요소들 간의 상호 유기적 연관성들을 악장별로 분석하였으며, 전체 형식의 구조, 선율, 리듬, 음 조직, 강약 (Dynamics)의 관점에서 연구하므로 , 이를 통해 곡 전체에 걸쳐 나타나는 통일성과 다양성을 고찰해보았다. 특히 이 곡은 석사학위 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 작품 중 하나로 계획(Plan)에서 작곡(Composition), 수정(Correction), 평가(Evaluation), 연주(Performance)의 과정을 거친 작품이다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 거친 이 곡을 분석하는 것은 분석을 통하여 이 작품 안에 내재된 음악적 요소들을 정리하고 새로운 가능성을 발견해내어 현재의 부족한 점을 찾아내어 앞으로의 작품활동에 반영하기 위함이라 하겠다.;This Thesis is composed of an analysis of the musical form and style of "string quartet No.1" which was presented at the graduation recital for the completion of the author's master degree on April, 14th. 2003. Since the end of 19th century. Tonality has collapsed gradually because of the frequent using of the chromatic scale. Amold schoenberg and his school called "The second viennes school tried to compose several atonal works between 1908and 1923. Dew to these continuous trials, twelve tone Music & serial music came out finally. The author's work is also based on the concept of atonality. This work is composed of 3 movements and each movement has three section(ABA') including two subsections. In each section, for the purpose of the change of tone color, various performing techniques such as sul tasto, con sordino, colegno battuto and so on were ordered. This thesis were studied in terms of both the unity and the variety presented on the whole work and whole structure melody, rhythm, tone color and dynamics.
