리스트(F. Liszt)의 piano sonata in b minor에 관한 연구

Abstract

리스트 (Franz Liszt, 1811-86)는 19세기의 가장 낭만적인 작곡가 중 한명이며 그의 새로운 음악개념은 당대의 음악계에 급진적이며 화려한 양식을 심어주었다. 이러한 그의 음악적 특성을 잘 표현해주는 『피아노 소나타 B단조』를 본 연구의 대상으로 선택하여 분석함으로써 낭만주의적 요소와 리스트의 새로운 음악관, 리스트 특유의 연주기법, 음악적 구조와 형식 등을 살펴보고자 한다. B단조 소나타는 조성면에서는 고전 소나타의 조성을 따르고 있으나, 형식면에서는 고전적인 형식에서 벗어나 소나타 형식의 특징과 '빠름-느림-빠름'의 후기 바로크 다악장 소나타 구조의 특징을 결합시켜 단일악장 속에서 표현함으로써 방대한 구성을 보여주고 있다. 구조적으로 다섯 개의 주제적 소재가 주제변형기법을 통해 전 곡에 걸쳐 순환적인 형태로 나타나고 있으며, 주제의 성격적인 변형과 리듬의 확대 및 축소, 주제의 단편화와 대위법적인 처리 등을 발전적인 내용을 통해 극적인 효과로 나타내며 숙련된 기교로 처리함으로써 그의 작품의 탁월함을 보여주고 있다. 결론적으로 리스트의 『피아노 소나타 B단조』는 그가 작곡한 가장 큰 피아노 독주곡이며, 동시에 19세기 피아노 음악사에 크게 기여한 작품이다. 순환형식과 주제적 변주를 조화시킨 점이라든가, 놀랄만한 리스트의 수사적 특성을 표현한 점, 또 엄청난 수준의 테크닉을 요하는 점 등 어느 면으로 보나 한 시대의 획기적인 작품임에 틀림없다.;Franz Liszt(1811-86) was one of the best Romantic composers in the nineteenth century. His musical concept was very new and radical which gave rises to a luxurious musical style in his period. His musical characteristics are well expressed in the 『Piano Sonata in B Minor』. This thesis is written to review his Romantic elements: his new musical philosophy, unique performance techniques, musical structure and form and so on, as found in the 『Piano Sonata in B Minor』. This Sonata follows the tonal structure of the Classic period, but the form escapes from the classical one. The unique element of his Sonata form, which includes the structural traits of the multi-movement Sonata of the late Baroque, and the formation of Allegro-Andante-Allegro, is that is a single movement, In structure, five thematic elements are repeatedly presented in the whole of the music through the thematic quality, augmentation, diminution, fragmentation and contrapuntal treatment of the thematic elements, etcetera. These skilled techniques are the noticeable elements which make the music so distinguished. In short, the 『Piano Sonata in B Minor』 is Liszt’s largest work for piano solo and is at the same time a major contribution to the piano music of the nineteenth century.
