Abstract
L. v. Beethoven(1770∼1827) is an important composer who opened the gate of romanticism from classicism with F. Schubert. Since his works are composed in the transitional period of romanticism and classicism, they each have different characteristics. Accordingly, all of Beethoven’s music undergoes coherent developing process from early to late period. Basically beethoven presented all genres of music, and it is well know that his music and its influence on musical history has greatly contributed to history of music. He composed 50 Sonata pieces for strings and piano. Among them, there are ten Sonata pieces for violin and Piano, and five for Cello and Piano. This study examines the characteristics of Beethoven’s five Sonatas for Cello and Piano, concentricity on Op.102 No.2 in D Major.;L. v.
