Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky의 성악곡에 대한 연구

Abstract

피터 일리치 차이코프스키(Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky : 1840~1893)는 19세기 후반에 활동한 대표적인 러시아의 작곡가로서 대규모의 관현악곡, 발레 음악, 오페라 및 130 여 가곡들을 남겼다. 차이코프스키의 가곡은 글링카, 다르고미즈스키 등의 러시아 낭만파 가곡의 전통과 독일의 리트, 프랑스 낭만 가곡의 영향을 받았으며, 러시아 가곡사 안에서도 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 대부분의 차이코프스키 작품들이 우울한 정서, 비애감과 밀접히 연관되어 있는데 많은 그의 가곡들에서 이러한 개인적인 감정이 표현되어 있다. 차이코프스키는 시와 음악과의 일치보다는 전체적인 시의 정서를 나타내는 아름답고 서정적인 선율을 더욱 중요시하였다. 차이코프스키의 가곡은 순수한 서정극, 극적인 드라마, 일상생활의 짧은 노래나 경건한 찬가, 러시아 민요선율과 왈츠 및 짚시풍의 노래 등 다양한 장르의 음악을 수용하고 있는데 이러한 다양한 음악적 요소와 차이코프스키 특유의 음악적 성격 즉, 자신이 말한바 '서정적 악상'은 예술적 단순성, 형식의 완전함, 선율의 다양성과 고유성, 풍부한 반주로서 그의 가곡 안에 잘 조화되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 필자가 직접 졸업연주회에서 러시아어로 연주한 경험을 바탕으로 하여 러시아 가곡에 대한 접근을 시도하고자 하며 차이코프스키 가곡의 연구를 위하여 러시아의 민족주의라는 시대적 배경과 간략한 가곡사를 개괄한 후 작곡가의 생애 및 성악작품과 그 음악적 특징을 알아보고 차이코프스키의 초기에서 말년에 이르는 세 개의 가곡의 악곡분석을 통해 차이코프스키 가곡에 대한 이해를 돕고자 한다.;Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky is a reknowned Russian composer of late nineteenth century and have composed symphonies, ballets, opera ,and at least one hundred thirty songs. His art songs, rooted Russian romantic tradition of M. Glinka and A. Dargomyzhsky, were greatly influenced by German lied and French romance and have a very important place in Russian art song history. His works closely related melancholy and bitter sentiment, these personal emotion are expressed in the majority of his songs. Tchaikovsky attached more importance to lyrical melody, which express whole poetic feeling, than to unity between poetry and music. His songs are strikingly varied and embrace different genres : pure lylic and srark dram, solemn hymns and short songs of everyday life, folk tunes and valse, songs of gypsy type. These various musical elements and his special musical characteristic, according to his own words, 'lyrical idea' with artistic simplicity, perfection of form, variety and originality of melody, richness of accompaniment are combined in his songs. In this thesis, the writer trying to approach to Russian art songs through own experience that performed in native language at the graduation recital. And for the study of Tchaikovsky's vocal music, attempt to review Tchaikovsky's life, his vocal works and the musical characteristics after examine Russian nationalism and art song history. And the writer also wanted to contribute lie understands Tchaikovsky's vocal music through the analysis of his three at songs.
