Boccherini, Brahms, Martinu에 대한 소고

Abstract

This paper is the study of the recital programs which I presented preparing for the M.M. degree at the close of my postgraduate course. The study includes a brief description of historical background of each work and thereupon undertakes analysis of the structures and the characteristic features of each work. The sonata No. 6 in A major composed by Boccherini was originally a work of three movements, of which only two movements (except the final movement) conventionally played in these days by most cellists. The work which was written in the transitional era between baroque and classical period is marked by the personal touch although it takes the form of the early sonata. Brahms' cello sonata No. 1 in e minor is the opus belonging to the second period of the composer. This is characterized by the neo-classical style which put the emphasis on the value of the absolute music. The fact which the second movement of the work uses minuett-trio form, while the third movement is based on the fugue and the compound ternary form makes the sonata more interesting. Martinu˚'s variation was influenced by impressionism and nationalism. It expresses characteristic variation forms of the twentieth century. This variation written at the end of his life is saturated with the profound nostalgia for his homeland, Teheko-slovakia. The theme and the variations denote amply the rhythms and the melodies which we can find out in the Slovakian folk music.;본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주 작품을 이론적으로 살펴본 것으로 여러 문헌을 통하여 작품의 역사적 배경을 살펴보았고, 분석을 통해 곡의 내용과 구조적인 면을 연구하였다. Boccherini Sonata No.6은 본래 3악장의 초기 고전주의 기악형식으로 구성된 작품이었으나, 현재 관행상 마지막 악장을 제외한 2악장만이 연주되고 있다. 바로크와 고전주의 전환기에 쓰여진 곡으로 초기 소나타 형식을 기틀로 하고 있으나 좀더 개인적인 수법이 강조된 작품이다. Brahms Sonata No.1은 그의 작품활동중 2기에 속하는 작품으로 음악의 이상을 절대음악에 두었고, 신고전주의 양식을 취하고 있다. 2악장은 Menuetto Trio, 3악장은 Fugue기법을 이용한 복합 3부형식으로 되어 있는 것이 특징이기도 하다. Martinu˚의 Variation은 인상주의와 민족주의 영향이 강한 작품으로 20세기 Variation의 특성을 잘 나타내어 주고 있다. 특히 그의 생애의 최후에 속하는 본 변주곡은 고국에 대한 향수가 짙게 표출된 곡으로 주제와 각 변주를 슬로바키아 민요의 선율과 리듬이 잘 드러나 있다.
