Carl Nielsen의 Concerto for flute and orchestra에 관한 소고

Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위해 졸업 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품 들 중 Carl Nielsen의 Concerto for Flute and Orchestra (1926년)을 분석, 연구한 것이다. Carl Nielsen의 Flute Concerto는 2개의 악장 구성으로 Flute Concerto라기 보다는 Chamber Music 같은 성격을 지닌 곡이다. 이 작품에서는 다양한 조성 기법과 음계 사용, 급속한 빠르기의 변화, 변형된 반복, 4도 음정의 강조 안에서의 순차적인 선율, 음정의 확대, 축소, 반음계적인 진행, 리듬 변화 등을 통하여 고전주의의 화성에서 부터 다조성(Polytonality) 이르기까지 강렬한 표현을 나타내고 있다. 그의 관현악곡, 교향곡 등에서는 불협화음적인 선율들로 주제와 동기들을 구성하고 있으며, 음율을 균형있게 사용하는 것이다. 이 작품에서 드러난 여러가지의 특징들은 Nielsin 작품속에 내재해 있는 음악적 사고, 음색의 표현 방법 등을 이해하는데 도움이 된다.;This dissertation studies and analyzes The Concerto for Flute and Orchestra composed in 1926 by Carl Nielsen, which was among the works played at the graduation recital for the achievement of a Master's Degree. The Flute Cencerto by Carl Nielsen is made up of two movements, and is more similar to chamber music rather than to a Flute Cencerto. This composition shows the various use of tonality and scale, rapid variation of tempo, varied repetition, melodies in gradual progression, the expansion and diminution of tone and the change of rhythm through chromatic progression. Through all these compositional characteristics, this work functions as a more intensive method of expression covering various stages from classical harmony to polytonality. Neilsen made it possible for his works to escape from the simplicity caused by the unity of tone which is produced by the use of pedal point. His orchestral works and symphonies, however, permitted nonharmonic melodies to consist of thematic motives and shows the characteristic of using balanced. The various characteristics which appeared in his works made it easy for this dissertation to approach and understand Nielsen's musical thought and method of tonal expression implied in his music.
