제품조작부위의 커뮤니케이션기능 제고에 관한 연구

Abstract

도구가 생활을 대변하고 도구없이는 한시도 당대의 생활시스템을 순환시켜 나갈 수 없었던 것은 인류탄생 이후 지금까지 과학문명의 발전양태와는 별개로 변함없이 추구되어 왔던 인간의 본능에서 유발된 것이다. 동물의 껍질을 벗기고 식물의 줄기를 자르거나 뿌리를 캐기 위하여 발전된 예리한 돌조각은 이미 수 천년간 그 형태를 취하고도 인간에게 발견되지 않았을 따름이다. 지역의 풍토, 문화적 조건과 직결되어 있는 가옥의 형태나 농기구들은 각기 독특한 형태를 지닌 버나큘러디자인으로 누구도 디자이너라 할 수 없는 사용자들에게서 꾸준히 형태를 발전시켜 왔고 그것은 최적의 상태를 유지할 수 있었다. 그들은 도구의 형태로 부터 쓰임새를 읽을 수 있었고 도구로 부터 인간의 물리적, 심리적 조건을 공유하는 생명체로 대화하기를 희망할 정도로 도구를 인간과 일체시키고자 하였다. 그러나 시대가 변하고 산업화는 전통적 도구들을 기계로 혁신하였고, 도구들은 다시 형태를 통한 언어적 기능에 일시적인 장애를 일으키게 되었다. 이제 도구의 양태가 기계, 전기시대를 거쳐 첨단 기술이 채용되지 않고는 과거의 전통 도구와 같이 존재가치를 상실해 버릴 수 있는 위협을 느끼면서 끊임없이 고도화 되는 기술로 인간의 욕구를 충족시키지 않으면 안되게 되었다. 가전용품 및 사무기기들의 양태가 점점 다양해지고 기기의 메커니즘이 고도화 되면서 제품이 취하고 있는 외관만 보아서는 그 용도와 기능을 알 수 없으며, 제품의 조작과 사용에 있어서 형태적 언어장애를 일으킬 수 있는 새로운 형태가 속출하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 이러한 형태와 기능의 변화에 사용자가 제품을 충분히 이해하고 편하게 사용할 수 있도록 제품과 사용설명서가 갖추어야할 사항을 제시함으로써 실제 디자인 작업에 응용될 수 있는 기초적인 틀을 형성하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적에 대한 연구 과정은, 먼저 Ⅰ장 서론에서는 연구의 목적과 범위 및 방법을 밝히고, Ⅱ장에서는 제품과 사용자의 원활한 커뮤니케이션 증대를 위한 요인을 살펴봄으로 사용자 친화디자인이 되기 위한 방향을 제시하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 제품 사용설명서에 대한 사용자 행동분석을 통하여 사용자의 제품사용실태를 파악한 후 사용설명서의 불만 사항을 추출하고 Ⅳ장에서는 이를 바탕으로 현 사용설명서보다 개선된 방향으로 사용자 중심의 제품 사용설명서가 되기 위한 작성에 대하여 알아보았다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문은 Ⅴ장 결론을 통하여 사용자가 제품에 친숙하게 접근하고 제품의 성능을 충분히 이해하여 제품의 기능을 최대한 활용하기 위한 제품디자인과 사용설명서의 지침 사항을 정리하고, 향후 연구에 대하여 제시하였다.;Man has been unable ta find sharp stones which were used ta skin animals and cut plant stalks and dig up roots. The dwellings and agricultural instruments which were influenced by the environmentally shaped culture of the time which had unique shape were of binocular design. These tools were developed gradually and successively by layman and not design specialist. Functions were assigned to these items according to their particular shape. They desired tools to possess human's physical and psychological qualities. However due to changing conditions and industrialigation tools became mechaniged. During to mechanical era, tool development came to a standstill. From this point it is required that human desires most be satisfied via highly developed technology but at the same time man feels threatened by the possibility of, being replaced or made redundant by technological advance. With an increase in the diversity of home appearances and office machinery and the development of these mechanisars we have difficulty understanding the functions of these machines simply by outside of appearances. This thesis intends to show that a user manual is necessary to enable the user of a product to easily and fully comprehend and utilize, the product. Therefore, a user manual most be easily understood. I intend for this study to be a guide for the future prepasation of user manuals. This thesis was carried out in the following order : Chapter Ⅰ : introduces the purpose and the range of this research. Chapter Ⅱ . suggest how to constract user friendly designs throught research of "How to improve communication between product and user". Chapter Ⅲ : through the analysis of users reactions are can understand, find out what they want. Chapter Ⅳ : based on Chapter Ⅲ, I studyed how to make a human centered users manual through the analisys of human factor. Chapter Ⅴ : in conclusion, I abstracted the guide of user manual, product design for easy to use and for fully understand. Then I suggested what I have to study after this.
