M. Ravel "Concerto pour la main gauche"의 분석연구

Abstract

라벨 (Maurice Joseph Ravel : 1875-1937) 은 드뷔시와 함께 19세기 말에서 20세기 초에 걸쳐 프랑스 인상주의를 대표하는 중요한 작곡가이다. 드뷔시에게서 많은 영향을 받았지만, 그는 인상주의 작곡 기법적 요소에 신고전주의적인 형식을 혼합하여, 자신의 개성적인 음악 세계를 형성하였다. 본 논문에서는 라벨의 'Concerto pour la main gauche (왼손을 위한 협주곡)' 에 대한 분석을 통해 협주곡에 나타난 그의 인상주의적인 음악적 특징과 기법을 고찰함에 있다. 이 곡의 특징은 A,B,A'의 3부 형식으로 이루어졌으며, 특별히 2개의 카덴자를 포함하고 있다. 온음 음계, 중세 선법, 복조성(bitonality), 복리듬(polyrhythme), 복박자(polymetric), 반음계적 진행, 페달음, 병행 화음, 재즈의 효과, 리듬적 오스티나토, 반복과 동형 진행, stretto 의 대위법적인 기법 등의 특징들이 인상주의적인 요소와 함께 신고전주의적인 요소가 잘 조화를 이루고 있다. 라벨은 이 곡을 통해 화려한 오케스트라의 효과에 피아노의 기교적인 처리를 하였으며, 특별히 여러 성부가 필요했을 것처럼 보이는 선율들이 왼손만 써야 한다는 제한을 극복하고 자연스럽게 처리되고 있다.;Maurice Joseph Ravel ( 1875 - 1937 ) was one of the leading composer from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Ravel was famous for his impressionism following after Claude Debussy ( 1802 - 1918 ) who also advocated impressionism to even more extremes than Ravel. In representing impressionism with Debussy , Ravel reflected the impressionistic style which Debussy had established and perfected in his own method. However, Ravel harmonized both 20th century and the classical spirits with his own music to distinguish from the one of Debussy who didn't ruminate the classical intent. On the 'Concerto for the Left Hand' Ravel produced artistic method which also compose impressionism and the classical elements.
