프로코피에프(S. Prokofiev)의 피아노 소나타 No. 7, Op. 83에 관한 연구

Abstract

Like any other countries in that period, there were political, economical, social, cultural changes in Russia during end of the 19th centry through beginning of the 20th centry caused by Russian Soviet Revolution and two World wars. Naturally, various kinds of musical style appeared newly because of that chaotic changes. Sergei Prokofiev(1891-1953) was one of the greatest Russian composer and pianist of that period. He opened new chapter not only in history of Russian music but also in contemporary music. He made unique sound with various elements like Russian traditional music, musical style in classical period and his own creative musical style. Completed works in Prokofiev's music contain large and varied output in many different genres, including symphony, sonata, opera, art song, string quartet and film music. Among them, piano music was one of his favorite genre, because he was a great pianist who has excellent technique and his own musical taste. And especially, he was greatly interested in piano sonata. In his Autobiography, Prokofiev himself mentioned five categories which are found in most of his music including piano music. The five categories or "lines," as he called them are the classical, the modern, the toccata, the lyrical, and the grotesque. Prokofiev's piano sonata No. 7, Op. 83 which will be mostly treated expresses all five categories of piano sonata excellently that Prokofiev explained already. And it showed not only the classical taste as his fundamental taste on structual and formal sides but also the innovative and progressive contemporary musical style on substantial side. Consequently, this sonata shows his own characteristics and musical languages that bring out maximum capability of the piano. It is obvious that Prokofiev made a great contribution to the piano and twentieth century music.;19세기말에서 20세기 초에 이르는 기간동안 러시아는 유럽의 다른 나라들과 마찬가지로 많은 정치, 사회, 문화적 변화를 겪었다. 때문에 음악 분야에서도 당시의 정치, 사회적 상황과 밀접한 관계를 가지며 다양하고 새로운 음악 양식들이 등장 하였다. 이 시기에 활동한 러시아의 작곡가 세르게이 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev 1891-1953)는 러시아의 음악과 고전적인 음악 어법, 자신만의 독특한 음악 어법을 잘 조화시켜 새로운 음악을 창조하였으며 그의 작품들은 러시아뿐만 아니라 현대 음악사에 있어서도 큰 영향을 끼치게 되었다. 특히 자신이 견고한 테크닉과 음악적 심미안을 지닌 뛰어난 피아니스트였기 때문에 피아노 음악 분야에 있어서도 큰 족적을 남겼는데 그 중에서도 피아노 소나타는 그가 가장 심혈을 기울인 장르 중 하나였다. 프로코피에프는 자서전에서 자신의 음악적 스타일을 다음의 5가지로 정의 했는데 그것은 고전적(classical)요소, 현대적(modern)요소, 토카타(toccata) 혹은 기계적요소, 서정적(lyric)요소, 기괴한(grotesque) 또는 해학적요소로 정리할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 중점적으로 다루게 될 「피아노 소나타 No. 7, Op. 83」은 자신이 설명한 자신의 5가지 작곡 스타일의 모든 요소를 잘 표현 하고 있으며 구성이나 형식면에 있어서 프로코피에프의 기본적 성향인 고전적 요소를, 불협화음이나 조성, 피아노라는 악기를 타악기 적으로 다룬 점 등에 있어서는 혁신적이고 새로운 현대 음악의 면모를 보여준다. 프로코피에프의 작품은 그가 살았던 시대적 배경과 밀접한 관계를 갖고 변화했기 때문에 본 논문에서는 그의 생애와 관련하여 음악적 변화를 살펴보고 그러한 요소들이 어떻게 반영 되었는지 소나타 7번, Op. 83을 중심으로 연구하고자 한다.
