Be´la Barto´k의 Dorfszenen에 대한 분석·연구

Abstract

헝가리가 낳은 20 세기 대표적 작곡가인 Be´la Barto´k(1881 - 1945)은 민속 음악(Folk Music)을 연구하여 자신의 독창적 어법을 만들고, 다양한 현대적 기법을 이용하여 음악을 만들어 냈는데 그는 성악곡 분야에서도 여러작품을 남겼다. 본 연구는 필자의 졸업연주 곡목중 Be´la Barto´k 의 Dorfszenen(Villiage Scence)을 대상으로 분석·연구하여 연주자에게 연주시 이해를 도모하였다. 더불어 본 논문을 통해 Barto´k 의 음악적 특징을 알아보고 곡의 분석을 통해 구성·선율·음계·동기적 전개등의 구성적 특징을 알아보았다. Be´la Barto´k 의 Dorfszenen을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 그의 선율은 최고음에서 최저음으로 떨어지는 하행형(descending), arch 형, 좁은 음역에서 배회하는 형의 것이 많으며 민요의 선율이 이용되기도 하였는데 이 곡에서는 arch 형과 어떤음을 중심으로 배회하는 형이 많다. 선율로는 5음음계(pentatonic scale), 온음음계(whole tone-scale), 선법(mode), 선법의 혼합사용(poly modality), 여러조의 동시사용(poly tonality), 반음계(chromatic-scale) 등을 음계적 소재로 삼았는데 본 제재곡에서는 5음음계, Lydian 과 Mixolydian 등의 선법이 사용되었다. 화성으로는 전통적인 3도구성화음(tertian chord)이외에 2도구성화음(secundal chord), 4도구성화음(quartal chord), 5도구성화음(quintal chord), 부가화음(added chord), 음괴(tone-cluster) 등을 사용하였는데 본 제재곡에서는 3도구성화음, 2도 구성화음, 4도구성화음, 5도구성화음, 부가화음, 여러화음을 동시에 사용한 화음 등이 나타난다. 리듬은 긴음과 짧은 장식음의 사용, 잦은 변박(meter change), 마디에 얽매이지 않는 진행이 많으며 강박에서 시작하는 경우도 많지만 강렬하고 원시적인 당김음등의 사용이 나타나는데 이곡에서는 Barto´k 의 이러한 특징이 그대로 나타난다. 전체 5곡중 1·2곡은 2부형식(two part form)으로, 3곡은 2부형식이 확대되는 형으로 4곡을 3부형식(three part form)으로 되어 있으며, 5곡은 긴 전주를 갖는 2부형식로 구성되어 있는데 같은 성질로 구분되는 부분들의 선율은 거의 그대로 반복되며 반주 부분이 변형되어 부분끼리의 차이를 반주에서 찾을 수 있었다. 그밖에 특이한 음향으로는 piano가 타악기적으로 처리되어야 할 부분이 많고, 노래, piano 에 각각 나타나는 glissando 와 노래에 음표(□)가 나타나 Spreche stimme 효과를 주는 부분도 있었다. 20 세기 현대음악에 많은 영향을 미친 Barto´k 의 다양한 음악어법은 현대음악에 지대한 공헌을 하여 지금까지도 그 맥이 유지되어 계속 존재하고 있는 것이다.;Hungarian-Born B´ela Barto´k(1881-1945) is one of the most prominant 20th century composers. This study is an analysis of B´ela Barto´k's Dorfszenen(Village Scene) which was also performed by the researcher as part of the recital audition for graduation. The purpose of the study lies in reaching an understanding of the piece Dorfszenen, to improve the performance, and furthermore, In this thesis characteristics of this work was studied, by examining is structure, melodic line, scale basis & motivic development. The result of analysis can be summarized as follows: Influence of folk music is displayed in various melodic forms such as descending melodies dropping from high notes to the lowest, arch melodies and movement within a range. In this particular piece, the arch melodies and a movement centered-around a certain note seem to be dominant. Barto´k's music is based on the pentationic-scale, whole-tone scale, modes, mixture of simultaneous use of different modes and the chromatic scales, Especially "Dorfszenen" is piece based on the pentatonic scale, Lydian and Mixolydian modes. In many of Barto´k's works we discover the traditional tertian chord, as well as the secundary chord, quartal chord, quintal chord, added note chord and tone clusters. This piece uses the tertian chord, quartal chord, the secundal chord, quintal chord, and added note chord, and various chords used simultaneously for added effect. Rhythmic characteristics of Barto´k's music can be described by the primative strength and full of syncopation, prolonged and short oramental notes, continuous and constant meter change and finally the progressive nature of his music with disregard to measure. Of the 5 songs, the first two pieces are in two-part form, the third song is a repetitive A to B to A form, the fourth song is in three-part form and the final song is two-part form with a long prelude. The similiarities among the five pieces is evident most in the melody, however, distinct difference can be found in the accompaniment. It follows that Barto´k's prticular musical style and genius has greatly influence on the 20th century modern music. Contemporary music today is still partial to the strong personality of Barto´k's music.
