Maurice Ravel의 "Miroirs"에 관한 연구

Abstract

Maurice Ravel(1875-1937)은 Claude.A.Debussy(1862-1918)와 함께 19세기 후반 새로이 등장한 인상주의(Impressionism)음악의 대표적 작곡가이다. 그러나 동시대의 음악가인 이 두 작곡가는 근본적으로 서로 다른 음악 세계를 보여주는데, Debussy가 인상주의 기법의 사용에 충실한 반면, Ravel은 그의 음악이 본래부터 지니고 있던 전통적인 요소를 근본으로 한다. Ravel은 새로운 화성과 더욱 확대된 조성개념 등을 바탕으로, 상징적이고 서정적인 Debussy와는 달리 고전적, 이지적이며 보다 명확한 형식을 지닌다. 본 논문의 대상인 Miroirs(거울)는 1905년에 작곡된 5곡으로 이루어지며 Ravel의 중기 피아노 작품에 속한다. 이 모음곡에서 Ravel은 스페인적인 요소와 계속되는 반복음, 다양한 리듬, 특이한 화성과 선율을 사용하며, 피아노 연주상의 새로운 기법들도 등장시키고 있다. 또한 음향에 있어서의 새로움을 추구하는 이 곡은, Ravel의 인상주의적 작품의 대표작이라 할 수 있다.;Maurice Ravel(1875-1937) is one of the most distinguished composer of impressionism with Claude. A. Debussy( 1862-1918). They were affect each other on equal position but had the different viewpoint in their composition techniques. Debussy used entirely impressionistic style. But the basis of Ravel's music was classic character. Debussy's works were symbolical and lyrical. On the other hand Ravel's works were classical and intellectual, and had obvious forms. In 1905, the middle period of his development, Ravel created Miroirs, which were made up of 5 pieces. In this work he employed various techniques. He used peculiar impressionistic aspects and performance technique. Miroirs, in which Ravel also sought for a novelty of a tone color, regarded as the most impressionistic work among his works.
