사회복귀시설 이용 정신장애인의 사회적 지지와 자기효능감의 관계 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 사회복귀시설을 이용하고 있는 정신장애인이 지각한 사회적 지지와 자기효능감의 정도를 알아보고, 두 변인간의 관계를 규명하는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울&#8228;경기지역에 소재한 정신장애인 사회복귀시설을 이용하고 있는 정신장애인이며, 우편 및 방문을 통해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 회수된 136개의 설문지 가운데 연구에 적절하지 않은 응답지를 제외한 총 105부를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료는 SPSS 12.0 for Windows로 통계처리하였으며, 신뢰도 검증, 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, t-test, ANOVA, 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회복귀시설 이용 정신장애인의 지각된 사회적 지지는 평균 3.54로 보통보다 약간 높은 수준을 보였다. 지지유형 중 정서적 지지는 평균 3.60, 정보적 지지 평균 3.57, 물질적 지지 평균 3.37, 평가적 지지 평균 3.58로 나타나 대상자들은 네 가지 지지유형 중 정서적 지지를 가장 높게 지각하고 있었다. 둘째, 사회복귀시설 이용 정신장애인의 자기효능감은 평균 3.40으로 나타나 보통보다 약간 높은 수준을 보였다. 인구사회학적 변수 중 학력과 경제수준에 따라 자기효능감에 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다. 또한 사회적 지지(종합)와 각 지지유형을 높게 지각한 집단일수록 통계적으로 유의미하게 자기효능감의 정도가 높았다. 셋째, 정신장애인의 사회적 지지 및 지지유형과 자기효능감의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 유의수준 p<.01에서 중간이상 정도의 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 사회적 지지(종합)와 자기효능감은 r=.486의 상관을 가지고 있었고, 지지유형별로는 정서적 지지가 r=.486으로 가장 높은 상관을 보였다. 다음으로는 물질적 지지가 r=.472, 정보적 지지 r=.416, 평가적 지지 r=.414로 검증되었다. 넷째, 사회적 지지(종합) 및 지지유형들과 인구사회학적 변수, 임상적 변수 중에서 자기효능감과의 관계에 유의미하게 영향을 미치는 변수는 지지유형 중 정서적 지지와 인구사회학적 변수 중 학력과 경제수준인 것으로 확인되었다. 이 변인들은 자기효능감에 정적 영향을 미치고 있었고 자기효능감의 31.2%를 설명하였다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 본 연구가 갖는 함의 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지각된 사회적 지지가 높을수록 자기효능감이 높다는 통계적으로 유의미한 연구결과는 정신장애인의 재활을 위한 사회복지 서비스 제공에 있어 지지적인 환경의 중요성을 재확인할 수 있는 기초자료가 된다는 점에서 실천적 함의를 찾을 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 정신장애인의 지지체계를 강화하고 특히, 가족이 정신장애인에게 지속적인 사회적 지지를 제공할 수 있도록 원조하며 정신장애인 동료집단도 유효한 지지체계가 될 수 있도록 개입해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 사회복귀시설에서의 재활서비스는 대부분 집단을 대상으로 하는 프로그램으로 이루어지는만큼, 사회복귀시설 정신장애인의 자기효능감 증진을 위한 프로그램의 개발과 보급이 필요하다. 셋째, 학력과 경제수준이 사회복귀시설 이용 정신장애인의 자기효능감에 있어 중요한 변인이라는 결과를 통해 그들이 장애를 가지고서도 교육을 받고 보다 높은 학력을 취득할 수 있도록 원조해야 할 필요성이 제기되었다. 또한 금전관리에 대한 인식을 갖고 이를 효율적으로 하도록 하는 교육이 필요하며, 직업재활을 통해 정신장애인들이 점차 경제적 자립을 이룰 수 있도록 원조해야 할 것이다. 넷째, 후속연구에서는 다양한 지지원천을 별도로 조사하여 누구의 사회적 지지가 정신장애인에게 그리고, 그들의 자기효능감에 영향력이 있는지 검증할 필요가 있을 것이다. 또한 정신장애인의 특성을 고려한 자기효능감 척도의 개발이 요구된다.;The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between the perceived social support and the self-efficacy of mentally disordered persons in community mental rehabilitation centers. The main results are as follows. The perceived social support of mentally disordered persons in community mental rehabilitation centers is 3.54 on average, and the self-efficacy of them is 3.40 on average. The relation between the social support and the pattern of support of them and the self-efficacy is the positive correlation above the average for 1% significance level. The correlation coefficient between the social support and the self-efficacy is .486. And, among the various variables(social supports, demographic variable, clinical variable), the most significant ones to the relations with the pattern of the self-efficacy are emotional support, a schooling career and an economic level. These have positive effect on the self-efficacy, and explain the 31.2% of the self-efficacy. From these results, the implications and suggestions of this study are as follows. First, the higher is the perceived social support, the higher is the self-efficacy and this result is useful for suppling the social welfare service for the rehabilitation of the mentally disordered persons in the view point that it is the basic information for reaffirming the importance of the social support. On the basis of this result, it is necessary to strengthen the support system for the mentally disordered persons, help the family supply the system, intervene between colleagues of the mentally disordered persons. Second, as the rehabilitation services in the community mental rehabilitation centers are supplied for not individual but group, it is necessary to develop and generalize the program for the promotion of their self-efficacy. Third, in the view point of the result that the level of schooling and economy is the important variables to their self-efficacy, it is important to help them get educations in spite of disorder and possess higher school careers. And, the education for financing and the support for their economic self-reliance is necessary. Finally, in the following studies it is necessary to investigate the various sources of social supports separately and verify the social support of whom is effective to them and their self-efficacy.
