Joaquin Rodrigo의 가곡 「Doce Canciones Española」에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 로드리고(Joaquin Rodrigo, 1901-1999)의「12개의 스페인 노래」(Doce Canciones Españolas)에 나타나는 스페인 가곡의 특징과 낭만주의 음악적 요소의 특징들을 분석하고, 전통적인 요소와 새로운 양식이 어떻게 조화를 이루는 지를 살펴 로드리고의 가곡에 대한 이해를 돕는데 목적을 두고 있다. 로드리고는 18세기 작곡가로서 많은 기악곡과 관현악곡, 60여곡이 넘는 가곡을 작곡하였다. 그의 음악은 대부분 형태와 화성, 선율, 리듬 등에 중점을 둔 신고전주의적인 특징을 가지고 있다. 로드리고는 현대의 시 외에도 고대의 전설 등을 이용해 고전적인 예술가곡을 만드는 것을 좋아했고, 또한 스페인의 민속리듬과 춤곡 등을 그의 음악에 표현하여 스페인에 대한 강한 민족주의를 나타내고 있다. 이러한 민족주의적 특징 외에 로드리고는 현대 음악적 요소를 활용 하여, 선법과 조성을 함께 사용한 복조성의 형태를 가진 곡을 작곡하였으며, 반주부가 단순한 성악선율의 보조역할이 아닌 하나의 독립된 성부로서의 역할을 하게 하는 등 다양한 음악의 특징을 보여주기도 한다. 스페인의 피아니스트이자 로드리고의 부인인 빅토리아 캄히(Vitoria Kamhi)의 가사에 붙여진 이 「12개의 스페인 노래」에는 스페인 민속음악의 특징이 나타남으로써 각 곡들의 관계성이 잘 드러난다. 또한 중세 교회의 선법을 사용하고, 악구의 각 끝부분에 잦은 꾸밈음을 사용하여 스페인의 특징적인 선율을 만들어내었으며, 다양하고 복잡한 리듬을 사용하였을 뿐만 아니라 반주부의 리듬과 선율에 빈번하게 오스티나토 기법을 사용했음을 알 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 선법과 함께 조성을 사용한 복조성의 형태, 가사와 선율과의 관계, 반주부의 독립적인 위치를 통해 낭만음악의 특징들도 찾아 볼 수 있다.;The purpose of this study is to help you understand the songs of Joaquin Rodrigo(1901-1999) by analyzing a song cycle, 「Doce Canciones Españolas」.The harmony between the natures of spanish folk music and the elements of romanticism is displayed throughout the song cycle. Rodrigo is the representative spanish composer of 20th century who composed a variety of musical pieces with wind and string instruments.He also composed over sixty art songs.Rodrigo's music shows the chracteristics of neo-classicalism concentrated form, tonality, and rhythm.He liked to create classical art songs not only by using contemporary spanish poems, but he also applied ancient spanish legends, spanish folky rhythm and dance music to his works. This was because he wanted to express extreme nationalism for his native country, Spain. In addition to these traits of nationalism, he employed the elements of contemporary music and produced polytonality in terms of mode and tonality.He also ensured the role of the accompaniment which was not an assistant for vocal melodies but was an independent part. 「Doce Canciones Españolas」, written by Vitoria Kamhi who was a spanish pianist and also a wife of Rodrigo, shows the nature of spanish folk music and the relationship with one another. In his songs, we can find that he used traditional medieval church mode, creating melismatic phrases by ornaments at the end.He inserted a variety of complicated rhythms and frequently applied Ostinato’s techniques to rhythm and melody in the accompaniment.Besides to folk music traits, there were qualities of romanticism in Rodrigo's music. For example, he not only produced polytonality in terms of full use of both mode and tonality, but he also ensured the role of the accompaniment which was not an assistant for vocal melodies but an independent part.
