놀이의 장으로서의 목회상담

Abstract

본 논문은 놀이의 심리학적, 신학적 고찰을 통하여 목회상담이 놀이의 장이 되어야 하는 이유를 고찰하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 그리고 이러한 목표를 통해 놀이가 가지고 있는 기능과 특성이 영적인 삶과 더불어 인간 삶 전체에서 가지는 놀이의 중요성과 가치를 고찰하였다. 놀이는 자유롭고 자발적인 활동이며 즐거움과 재미의 원천이다. 놀이의 정의를 한마디로 정리하기는 어렵지만, 놀이에는 분명 자유로움과 자발성, 그리고 즐거움과 재미라는 요소가 들어있다. 이것은 만약 누군가에게 놀이할 것을 강요당하거나 누군가가 정해준 놀이를 한다면 이미 그것은 놀이를 하는 사람에게 있어 진정한 놀이라고 할 수 없음을 의미한다. 즉, 놀이는 자발적으로 순수하게 놀이 그 자체만을 목적으로 행할 때, 그리고 그 안에서 즐거움과 재미를 느낄 때에만 진정한 의미에서의 놀이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 이러한 진정한 놀이를 경험할 때에만이 인간의 삶은 놀이의 그러한 특성들로 인하여 풍성해질 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 놀이를 심리학적, 신학적인 측면에서 살펴봄으로써 목회상담이 놀이의 장이 되어야 하는 중요성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 심리학적인 측면에서는 특히, 초기 대상과의 관계성을 중시하는 대상관계이론 입장에 있는 클라인과 위니캇의 이론을 중심으로 놀이를 살펴보았다. 클라인은 놀이가 아동의 내면을 표현하며, 치료적 가치가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 이와 더불어 위니캇은 놀이를 중간현상 속에서 나타나는 현상으로 바라보고, 놀이를 통해서 창조적 인간 삶으로의 가능성을 제시한다. 또한 놀이는 종교적 삶에 있어서 우리가 깨닫든 깨닫지 못하든 중요한 요소임에 틀림없다. 왜냐하면 우리가 하나님과 관계를 맺고, 그 안에서 하나님과 상호작용을 하는 것부터가 이미 놀이의 시작이기 때문이다. 종교에서 나타나는 상징과 은유, 이미지와 상상력 등과 같은 특징은 놀이에서 발견되는 특징과 매우 유사하다. 이러한 이유로 본 논문에서는 유사한 특징들을 지닌 신학과 놀이라는 두 요소를 영성과 여성신학에서 바라보는 하나님 이미지 그리고 하나님 표상이라는 세 개념을 통하여 연관 지어 고찰함으로서 신학 안에서 발견할 수 있는 놀이적 요소를 살펴보았다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 살펴본 놀이의 특성과 기능은 목회상담에 있어서 관계성 회복과 창조성 표출이라는 측면에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 따라서 본 논문은 놀이가 목회상담에 있어서의 필요성과 중요성을 깨닫고, 목회상담이 왜 놀이의 장이 되어야하는가에 대하여 고찰해보았다. 또한 실제 놀이치료 사례 속에서 지금까지 살펴보았던 놀이의 중요성을 확인하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 통하여 인간의 삶을 보다 풍성하게 하는 놀이가 목회상담에서 중요한 요소임을 깨닫게 되고, 이는 목회상담이라는 공간을 보다 풍성하고, 충만한 공간으로 만들 수 있게 할 것이다.;The purpose of this thesis is to consider pastoral counseling as a center of playing through psychological and theological studies. From the purpose, the importances and values of playing, which has special functions and characteristics within our whole life, have been studied in the thesis. Playing is an autonomous activity and also the source of pleasure and fun. It is difficult to describe a precise definition of playing, but it is sure that playing embraces free, autonomous, fun, and interest elements. If playing is enforced or already settled by somebody, it cannot be a true play. Only if playing is occurred as an autonomous activity, in other words, it can be authentic. It is also important that the true play should be enjoyable and fun. If people can experience the true play, their life would be enrich and abundant. In this thesis, the reasons that pastoral counseling should be a center of playing have been considered by studies of psychological and theological elements of playing. As a psychological aspect, playing has been studied in M. Klein's and D. Winnicott's Object Relations in Psychoanalytic Theory, which values a relationship with the primary object. M. Klein discovered that playing was possible to make children express their inside mind, and thus it was valuable as a therapy. D. Winnicott studied playing as a transitional phenomena and brought up the possibilities, which playing could help people have creative life. It is sure that playing is an important element in our religious life, as well. The reason is that the beginning point of playing is our primary religious relationship with the God and reciprocal actions in the relationship. The symbolisms and metaphors expressed in religion are very similar to the imaginations discovered in playing. In the thesis, therefore, playing elements discovered in the theology are studied in a new concept, which the theology and playing having similarities symbolize the image and emblem of the God in feminine theology. In pastoral counseling, the functions and characteristics of playing are important, because playing can help people win back the relationship with others and express their creations. Thus, the importances and necessities of playing in pastoral counseling and the reason that pastoral counseling should be a center of playing have been studied and considered in the thesis. The importances of playing could be confirmed by experiences of playing therapy. With these studies and experiences, it would be realized that playing is an important element in pastoral counseling and helps pastoral counseling more enrich and abundant.
