종이 접기의 조형성을 응용한 복식 디자인

Abstract

예술적 표현활동은 조형 제작활동의 주체인 인간이 예술적 표현의 의지를 사물로 객체화하는 과정에 있어서, 그 재료와 재로의 가공 기법을 통해 표현되는 활동이라고 말할 수 있다. 우리의 일상 생활 속에 산재해 있는 종이는 근자에 이르러 예술 표현활동에 있어서 진정한 표현매재(妹材)로 간주되고 있으며, 특히 종이를 예술적 표현을 위한 피동적 표면이라는 고정관념에서 탈피하여 입체적 조형을 시도함으로써, 종이를 받아들여지고 있으며, 이러한 종이의 입체로의 성형 가능성에 대한 발견은 조형매재(造形妹材)로서의 종이에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 종이를 통한 조형성 표현의 방법 중 특히 접기에 의해 형성되는 조형성을 복식 디자인에 응용하여 총 8작품을 실물제작하였고, 소재는 주로 마를 이용하여 전체적으로 간결하고 명쾌하며, 조형적 효과도 살릴수 있도록 하였으며, 디자인에 딸서 노방과 모시도 이용하였다. 작품 제작을 통해 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 접기를 통한 종이 조형의 다양한 형태는 입체적 조형의 형태로 표현과 함께 평면적인 형태의 표현도 가능하며, 이것은 복식 디자인에 응용되었을 때 복식에 대하여 기하학적 조형성을 부여하며, 새로운 실루엣과 이미지를 창출할 수 있었다. 둘째, 종이 조형의 다양한 형태는 복식에 응용되어 새로운 형태미를 표현하므로써 복식에 대한 조형성의 표현에 좋은 수단이 될 수 있으며, 이것은 복식에 있어서 새로운 표현 영역의 확대를 가능하게 하였다.; Artistic expression activity is can be said it's the activity that can be expressed through it's material and material's processing technique in the process of man's being the subject of moulding production activity objectionizing the will of artistic expression to materials. The paper scattered in our routine life is nowadays considered as true expression material in art expression activity, especially escaping from the fixed idea that paper is passive plane for artistic expression, by trying cubic moulding rich expression possibility through paper is experimented and accepted and the finding for this paper's moulding possibility to cubic is suggesting new angle of view. So, in this study, among the moulding expression method through paper, applying especially the moulding character being shaped by folding to the fashion design, total eight pieces of works were actually produced and using the yam as material, tried to be totally simple, clear and put life into moulding effect: Nobang and Ramie fabric were used according to the design. The results through this work production is as follows: First, paper moulding's various type through folding is can be expressed as cubic moulding type, and by applying this to fashion design, the moulding character for fashion can be given. Second, through folding, cubic expression as well as plane type expression is possible: so fashion's new image through paper moulding can be created. Third, expressing new type beauty by applying paper moulding's various types to fashion, it can be good means of moulding expression to fashion and it made possible the enlargement of new expression area in costume
