시트콤 ‘家有兒女’의 중급 중국어 듣기·말하기 활용방안

Abstract

As the interchange between countries is becoming frequent due to the internationalized and information-oriented society, the importance of foreign language teaching in the modern society is gradually increasing, especially Chinese, due to its rapid economic growth. However, researches regarding to teaching aids and methods on Chinese for the learners at the fields of education is insufficient. In Chinese language teaching, various teaching-learning activities using visual media are needed in the means of motivating learners and diversifying teaching aids. Among those, sitcoms have a high merit of practical use in Chinese language teaching because they have an entertaining capacity which creates the learner's interest and an educational capacity which offers language learning and cultural understanding. So the researcher selected a Chinese sitcom, analyzed its value as a teaching aid for learning Chinese, and presented a specific method of its usage. This method of usage is especially focused on listening and speaking, which are the most basics in language skills and the main functions of communication. Firstly, chapter I stated the necessity and the aim of this research for using sitcoms as the teaching aid for learning Chinese. In addition, it presented the contents and the methods for this research by selecting 'Jia You Ernu' as the sitcom and the intermediate for the level of learning. Chapter II stated the educational value of sitcoms in foreign language teachings and the sitcom's definition and characteristics, for the study of the theoretical background of foreign language teaching which uses sitcoms. Furthermore, it introduced the kinds of interrelationship between sitcoms and the education of listening and speaking, and between sitcoms and foreign language teachings. Chapter III introduced the content of 'Jia You Ernu', the reason for selecting this sitcom, and analyzed its educational suitability as the teaching aid for Chinese language in a threefold: content, vocabulary, value of cultural education. By analyzing the content, a suitable piece was chosen for the use of teaching aid and by analyzing its vocabulary, the suitability was examined for the intermediate level. The culture of the chosen piece was introduced for analyzing the value of cultural education. Chapter IV presented various devices and specific guidance plan to use 'Jia You Ernu' effectively, for the actual teaching-learning activity for listening and speaking, and by using this device, a model for a specific listening and speaking class was made. Sitcoms are effective in motivating learners and helpful in improving listening and speaking as a teaching aid for real-life language, because its humorous and playful elements of language stand out more than general visual media. Moreover, the sitcom, 'Jia You Ernu', which is selected for this research has a sufficient value of usage as a teaching aid in the means of its content, vocabulary, and culture. However, education which uses sitcoms in Chinese language teaching is not that active, compared to other foreign languages. Thus, by introducing the sitcom, 'Jia You Ernu' to the Chinese learners and presenting its practical device, the active usage of sitcoms in Chinese language teaching through this research, are expected.;현대사회는 국제와, 정보화 사회로 국가 간의 교류가 빈번해짐에 따라 외국어 교육의 중요성이 점차 커지고 있으며, 특히 중국의 비약적인 경제성장으로, 중국어에 대한 관심은 날로 높아지고 있다. 그러나 교육 현장에서 학습자를 위한 중국어 교재와 교수 방법에 대한 연구는 아직 부족한 상태이다. 중국어 교육에서는 학습자의 동기 유발과 학습교재의 다양화라는 측면에서 영상매체를 활용한 다양한 교수-학습 활동이 필요하다. 그 가운데 시트콤은 학습자의 흥미를 유발하는 오락적 기능, 언어 학습 ․ 문화 이해와 같은 교육적 기능을 가지고 있으므로 중국어 교육에서의 활용 가치가 매우 높다. 이에 본 연구자는 중국 시트콤 한 편을 선정하여 중국어 학습 교재로서의 가치를 분석하고, 구체적인 활용 방안을 제시하였다. 특히, 활용 방안은 언어 기능 가운데 가장 기본이자 의사소통의 핵심 기능인 듣기․말하기를 중심으로 구성하였다. 우선 Ⅰ장에서는 시트콤을 중국어 학습 교재로 사용해야 하는 필요성과 연구 목적을 소개하면서, 연구 대상을 중국어 중급자로 삼고, 시트콤 ‘家有兒女’를 선정하였음을 밝혔다. Ⅱ장에서는 시트콤을 활용한 외국어 교육의 이론적 배경에 대한 고찰로써, 시트콤의 정의 및 특성, 교육적 효과 등을 살펴보았다. 시트콤의 해학적, 언어 유희적인 측면은 학습자의 흥미유발에 효과적이며, 실생활 언어 교재로서 듣기․말하기 능력 배양에 도움이 됨을 알 수 있었다. Ⅲ장에서는 ‘家有兒女’의 내용을 소개하고 선정 이유를 밝힌 뒤, 중국어 교재로서의 교육 적합성을 내용, 어휘, 문화 교육적 가치로 나누어 분석하였다. 내용 분석을 통해 교재로 활용하기에 적합한 단편을 선정하였고, 어휘 분석을 통해 선정된 단편을 중급학습자가 학습할 수 있으며, 교재로서의 활용가치가 충분함을 밝혔다. 그리고 선정된 단편의 주요 문화 내용을 구체적으로 소개하면서 문화 교육적인 가치를 분석하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 ‘家有兒女’를 실제 듣기․말하기 교수-학습 활동에서 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 단어 학습, 문장 학습, 전체 내용확인 학습으로 구분하여 여러 방안과 구체적인 지도안을 제시하였고, 제시된 방안을 활용하여 실제적인 듣기․말하기 수업 모형을 구성하였다. 시트콤은 일반적인 영상매체에 비해 해학적, 언어 유희적 요소가 부각되어 학습자의 동기유발에 효과적이고, 실생활 언어 교재로서 듣기․ 말하기 능력 향상에 도움이 된다. 더욱이 본 연구에서 선정한 시트콤 ‘家有兒女’는 내용, 어휘, 문화적 측면에 있어서도 교재로서의 활용가치가 충분함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 중국어 교육에서 시트콤을 활용한 학습은 타 외국어에 비해 적극적으로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구를 통하여 중국어 학습자들에게 시트콤 ‘家有兒女’를 소개하고, 그 활용방안을 제시함으로서, 앞으로 중국어 교육에 있어서 시트콤이 적극적으로 활용되길 기대한다.
