시나위ㆍ판소리ㆍ산조의 연계수업을 통한 민속음악 지도방안 연구

Abstract

세계화, 다양화 시대로 접어들어 시대와 사회적 요구에 따라 음악교육에서도 우리 음악 문화의 창달을 위한 국악교육을 강조하고 있다. 이러한 의식은 교육과정에 반영되어 제 5차 교육과정에서부터 현행 7차 교육과정에 이르기까지 음악교과서 내 국악의 비중이 현저하게 증가하였다. 이러한 국악교육의 양적인 발전에도 불구하고 질적인 발전을 위한 구체적이고 체계적인 방법적 연구가 부족하여 서양음악의 일반적인 교수 이론을 국악 수업에 그대로 적용하는 오류를 범하고 있다. 국악의 아름다움과 가치를 바르게 이해하기 위해서는 국악을 구성하고 있는 본질적인 개념적 접근을 적용하여 지도할 필요가 있다. 그러나 제 7차 교육과정 이해영역에서 제시하는 리듬, 가락, 화성, 형식, 셈여림, 빠르기, 음색의 개념은 서양음악을 중심으로 구성되는 개념이므로 국악에 적용하기에는 부적절하다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 민속음악을 대표하는 동시에 음악적 연관성이 깊은 시나위ㆍ판소리ㆍ산조를 연계하여 세 음악에 적합한 민속음악 개념을 선정하였다. 선정한 개념은 주태원이 제시한 12가지의 국악의 기본개념 중 악곡배경, 연주형태, 구성방식, 장단, 음색, 가락의 개념으로 제한하였다. 현행 7차 교육과정의 학년별 성취 기준에 의하면 중학교 3학년(9학년)에 산조와 단가의 형식을 이해하도록 제시하고, 적용을 앞둔 개정 교육과정에서도 새로 첨가된 활동영역에서 '판소리 한 대목 듣고 따라 부르기'를 제시하고 있다. 이처럼 교육과정에서도 민속음악의 중요성을 강조하고 있으므로 세 음악은 음악수업에서 반드시 올바르게 지도할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 중학교 3학년을 대상으로 시나위ㆍ판소리ㆍ산조의 연계를 통해 앞서 선정한 6가지 민속음악 개념을 보다 효과적으로 지도하기 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 지도방안 개발에 앞서 문헌연구를 통해 시나위ㆍ판소리ㆍ산조에 대한 고찰과 음악개념에 대한 이론적 배경을 제시하였다. 그리고 중학교 3학년 9종 음악교과서와 교사용 지도서에 수록된 시나위ㆍ판소리ㆍ산조의 내용을 분석하였다. 이러한 문헌연구와 교과서 분석을 토대로 민속음악 개념과 이에 적절한 악곡을 선정하여 총 2차시의 수업 지도안을 작성하였다. 마지막으로 작성한 지도안에 대한 신뢰도를 검증하고 학교 현장에서 활용 가능성 여부를 알아보기 위하여 현직 교사 9명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과 본 연구를 통해 작성된 지도안은 학생들의 민속음악 개념 형성에 도움을 줄 수 있고 다양한 학습 자료와 학습활동으로 구성되어 있어 학생들의 민속음악에 대한 이해와 관심을 높일 수 있다고 조사되었다. 또한 실제 수업 현장에서 부족한 음악 시수에 대한 대안으로 활용할 가치가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 초등학교에서부터 시나위ㆍ판소리ㆍ산조를 이미 학습했더라도 실제 학생들의 선수 학습이 미흡한 경우가 많으므로 학습해야 할 내용이 많다는 단점이 지적되었다. 따라서 본 연구를 학교 현장에서 활용할 경우 교사의 판단에 따라 학생들의 수준에 맞추어 부족한 개념에 대해 보충할 시간을 늘리거나 지도안에 사용된 개념을 부분적으로 적용하는 것이 필요하다.;The importance of Korean traditional music(Kuk-ak) education is being stressed in the field of music education in response to periodic and social request in the era of internationalization and diversification. Awareness of such matter has been applied to the schooling curriculum and the pages alloted for Kuk-ak in music textbooks have increased dramatically from the fifth education curriculum to the current seventh. Despite the quantitative increase, insufficient effort on specific and systematic methodological research for qualitative improvement has been made and the error of applying western music theory to Kuk-ak classes is being made. In order to properly teach the beauty and value of Kuk-ak, approach in fundamental concepts that constitute Kuk-ak need to be applied in education. However, concepts of rhythm, tone, chord, form, intensity(saemyeorim), speed and timbre that the seventh education curriculum suggest are inappropriate to be applied to Kuk-ak as they are concepts mainly comprised of western music. Thus, in this research, concept of folk music that is appropriate for Sinawee, Pansori and Sanjo, has been selected. This was done by relating the three kinds of music that represent folk music and at the same time, and share a deep musical connection among each other. The selected concept has been limited to concept of musical piece background, performance form, composition form, beat, timbre and tune, from the twelve basic concepts of Kuk-ak education that Jootaewon(1997) suggested. According to current education curriculum standards of accomplishment. Before developing a guidance plan, it is through literature research that covers Sinawee, Pansori and Sanjo in depth and presents the theoretical background of musical concepts. Also, it analyzed the content related to Sinawee, Pansori and Sanjo which is recorded in 9 kinds of Music text books targeted towards Middle schoolers in the 3rd grade to be precise, and the teachers manual. The concept of folk music and choosing an appropriate musical piece, based on literature research and text book analysis. This is the prepared syllabus for 2 classes. Finally, to verify the prepared guidance plan and to judge whether the guidance plan can be applied in school, a questionnaire is executed which is targeted towards 9 teachers still at work. The result of the questionnaire indicates that the guidance plan will help form the concept of folk music to students and as it consists of various study materials and learning activities, it will heighten the students understanding of folk music and their interest. Also, it is highly valuable to use it as an alternative plan for the insufficient number of hour spent on music at the scene of actual classes. However, although one student may have learned Sinawee, Pansori and Sanjo from elementary school, there are many cases in which their previous learning is inadequate. So, there is a lot to be learned which is the pointed out defect. Therefore, in order to apply this research at school, it is up to the teachers judgement whether to add supplementary lessons to adjust to the student level or use the concepts that is in the guidance plan partially.
