세계 윤리 교육을 위한 e-NIE 수업 모형 적용에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study proposed a new education model of Global Ethics. In order to build a proposed model the legacy education model of Global Ethics was analyzed and compensated. As technologies like transportation and communication grow rapidly this planet becomes single big life zone that is not able to be described by a traditional concept of nation and regions and is under a one standard through countries and cultures. Following by this fact, it disappears that contribution to the stability of the traditional values and norms such as recognition of the people to maintain an essential element of human life with new emergence of population issues, pollution problems, and environmental destruction. While problems are not limited to one region or country the world will need the mutual cooperation between nations in the world so as to solve through. From these backgrounds, global ethics is raised as a mandatory requirement that has universality and binding. In our society, the needs for global ethics are becoming wider. Including the yellow sand from China, changes in fish species in coastal seas due to global warming and global economic war it is felt that we are in the life of world not in a boundary of country. Thus, it becomes very important tasks to bring up youth as global citizens who have the right view in the global ethics. In 7th generation in national education plan, “Ethics and Ideologies” and “Civil Ethics” show Global Ethics in their classes. But Global Ethics is very small part in the whole schedule and is, even worse, in conflicts with traditional Ethics. It is also noticed that the education of Global Ethics is performed as a pass of knowledge while ignoring the characteristics of Ethics emphasizing the practice and the theory together. Thus, it is hardly imaginable for students to realize the needs of Global Ethics and bring up their will to practice it. On this study, we showed that the main cause of the problem in education of Global Ethics is the lack of experience in the problem of globalization. It is generally considered that people cannot have an interest in things that cannot be necessary for them nor be met frequently. It is hardly possible for whoever want to share sympathy with people under the problems of globalization to face the reality and environments in order to figure out. The only way to overcome the irony is to use media that contain the descriptive information about globalization and its effects because media including Newspaper and TV can show the direct fact to their viewers. From this background, this study wants to deliver a new effective education model of e-NIE community. Students can experience the issues and problems indirectly using articles in newspaper which analyze the real problems and take themselves to get a chance to bring up an ethical practice elements. In other words, the descriptive and comprehensive materials in newspaper can show issues regarding to the students and also help them to mature their wills to Global Ethics. Even more, e-NIE community can be a tool for students to clarify their opinions and announce them to public. It will be greatly helpful for students to compare their opinions with others and agree with them because of its original attributes of discussion and caring. On using e-NIE community model in education of Global Ethics students can understand the necessity of Global Ethics and its practical elements and even can raise the will of students toward Global Ethics. This study is based on the real case in the school including easy setup of Web Server in order to show the plan of educations to teachers who have interests in.;본 연구는 도덕과 수업 중 세계 윤리 수업의 문제점을 파악하고 이를 보완할 수 있는 수업 모델을 제시하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 교통과 통신의 발달에 따라 전 지구는 하나의 큰 생활권으로 바뀌게 되었고 전통적인 국가 단위 혹은 지역 단위의 경계를 초월하여 하나의 표준에 따라 움직이게 되었다. 이에 따라 사회의 안정에 기여하던 전통적 가치와 규범, 사람들 사이의 인정과 같은 인간의 삶을 유지하기에 필수적인 요소들은 점차 사라지고 인구 문제, 공해 문제, 환경 파괴와 같은 새로운 문제들이 등장하였다. 이러한 문제들은 한 지역이나 국가에 국한된 것이 아니라 전 지구적 차원에서 나타나고 있으며 전 지구적 차원에서 국가 간의 상호 협력을 통해 해결해야 한다. 이와 같은 배경에서 보편성과 구속력을 가지는 세계 윤리의 필요성이 대두되었다. 우리 사회에서도 이미 세계 윤리에 대한 필요성을 절실하게 경험하고 있다. 봄마다 중국에서 오는 황사나 지구 온난화에 따른 연근해의 어종 변화, 전 지구적 범위로 벌어지는 경제 전쟁 등을 통해 우리는 더 이상 한 국가 단위가 아니라 지구촌 전체를 단위로 하는 삶을 살고 있다는 것을 느끼고 있다. 따라서 현 상황에서 세계 윤리에 대한 올바른 인식을 가진 청소년을 육성하는 것은 매우 중요한 과제가 되었다. 7차 교육 과정의 도덕과 과목 중에서 ‘윤리와 사상’과 ‘시민 윤리’가 세계 윤리에 대해 수업을 진행하고 있다. 그러나 과목 전체에서 세계 윤리가 차지하는 부분은 매우 적으며 더욱이 기존의 전통 윤리와 상충하는 부분도 있다. 이와 더불어 이론과 함께 실천적 요소를 중요시하는 도덕 교육의 특성을 무시한 채 단순한 지식 전달 위주의 교육이 이루어져 온 것도 사실이다. 그 결과 세계 윤리 수업을 통해 학생들에게 세계 윤리의 필요성에 대해 실감하게 하고 세계 윤리를 실천하기 위한 의지를 함양하는 것은 상상도 하기 어렵게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제의 원인으로 학생들의 세계화에 대한 경험부재를 가장 중요하게 생각하였다. 자신이 겪지 못 한 일에 대해 필요성을 느끼거나 자신의 주변에서 일어나지 않는 일에 대해 공감대를 형성하는 것은 거의 불가능하기 때문이다. 그렇다고 해서 세계 윤리에 대해 절감하기 위해 세계화의 문제를 체험하거나 고통을 겪는 사람을 만나서 그 사람들의 상황과 문제를 공유하는 기회를 가지는 것은 현실적으로 불가능한 일이다. 이러한 상황에서 학생들이 세계화의 문제나 세계 윤리에 대해 간접적으로나마 접할 수 있는 것은 관련 내용에 대해 직접적인 정보를 담고 있는 매체를 통하는 것이다. 이와 같은 이론적 배경을 통해 본 연구에서는 세계 윤리에 대한 효과적 수업 모형으로 e-NIE 탐구 공동체 수업 모형을 제안하였다. 신문 기사를 통해 학생들은 직접 겪을 수 없는 문제에 대한 대리 경험의 기회를 가질 수 있으며 다각도로 분석된 문제를 통해 학생 스스로 윤리적 실천 요소도 발굴할 수 있다. 즉, 학생들은 자신의 삶과 직접 연관이 되는 자료를 통해 세계 윤리에 대한 관심과 흥미를 유발할 수 있으며 다양하고 자세한 자료를 통해 세계 윤리에 대한 깊은 이해를 할 수 있고 특히 세계 윤리에 대한 실천 의지를 개발하는데 도움을 받을 수 있다. 또한 e-NIE 탐구 공동체는 토론을 통해 학생들이 자신의 의견을 보다 명료화하고 이를 모두가 볼 수 있는 웹에 게시함으로써 자신의 생각과 다른 동료들의 생각을 비교하고 이를 통해 다른 생각을 받아들임으로써 이해의 폭이 넓힐 수 있는 수업 방식이다. 이를 통해 학생들은 세계 윤리와 필요성 그리고 실천 방향에 대해 보다 확실한 이해를 할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 되고 세계 윤리에 대한 이론적 이해를 높임과 동시에 실천 의지도 함양할 수 있다. 또한 본 연구의 내용은 웹 환경을 구축하는 방안을 포함하는 등 실제 수업을 운영하는 것을 고려하여 작성하였고, 실제 교육현장에서 바로 사용할 수 있는 수업 지도안을 제시하였다.
