학생들이 지각하는 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태와 학습동기 학습전략 간의 상관관계 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 고등학생들이 지각하는 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태와 과학학습동기, 과학학습전략 간의 상관관계를 알아보고, 고등학생들의 의미 있는 과학학습을 위한 바람직한 부모의 학습관여형태를 제시하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 서울시에 위치하고 있는 남녀공학 고등학교 1, 2학년 남, 여학생 400명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 총 349부를 유효 표본으로 분석하였다. 검사지는 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태 검사지, 과학학습동기 검사지, 그리고 과학학습전략 검사지를 선정하여 수정·보완하여 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 Windows용 SPSS 13.0K 통계프로그램을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들은 성별에 따라, 남학생보다 여학생이 학습선택권부여, 민주적규칙제공, 학업진보격려 등, 부모가 자녀의 자율성을 보다 더 격려하고 있다고 지각하고 있으며, 선택계열에 따라서는 이과계열 학생들이 지각하고 있는 과학학습에 대한 부모의 관여가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태와 과학학습동기 간의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과, 부모의 학습관여가 높다고 지각할수록 내적동기를 가진 학생들은 더욱 내적으로 동기화되었다. 반면에, 외적동기를 가진 학생들은 부모가 학습관여를 한다고 지각할수록 오히려 학습동기가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태와 과학학습전략 간의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과, 부모의 학습관여가 높다고 지각할수록 피상적전략의 사용이 줄어들고, 심층적전략과 나아가서 초인지전략의 사용이 증가하며, 자원관리도 효율적으로 하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태와 과학학습동기 간에 높은 상관을 나타내고 있으며, 과학학습동기는 과학학습전략의 사용을 유의미하게 예측·설명하는 것으로 나타났다(p<.01). 따라서 과학학습에 대한 부모의 학습관여형태가 과학학습동기와 과학학습전략과 유의미한 상관관계가 있다고 할 수 있다(p<.01). 이와 같은 연구결과를 통해, 자녀가 의미 있는 과학학습을 하도록 하기 위해서는 과학학습동기를 유발시키는 것은 물론이고, 자녀의 동기를 촉진시키고 학습전략을 효율적으로 활용할 수 있도록 영향을 주는 부모의 학습관여가 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 부모가 자녀의 과학학습에 관여할 때, 자녀가 학습내용을 중시하는 내적 목표, 즉, 긍정적인 학습동기를 갖고, 다양한 학습전략을 사용하고, 나아가서 자신의 학습을 계획, 조정, 실행하는 능동적인 학습을 할 수 있도록 자녀에게 스스로 공부 방법과 내용을 선택하는 자율성을 부여하고, 자녀의 효과적인 공부를 위한 여러 가지 방법이나 정보를 자녀에게 제공하는 바람직한 학습관여가 필요하다.;The purpose of the study is to present desirable parents' science educational involvement type for significancy science studying on high school students by examining the influence of parents' science educational involvement on science learning motivation and science learning strategy on high school students. The subjects are 400 boy and girl students who attended high school in Seoul. The study finally investigated 349 copies. The questionnaire was amended and complemented the questionnaire about the type of parents' science educational involvement, the questionnaire about science learning motivation and the questionnaire about science learning strategy. SPSS Win 13.0K program was used. The finding are as follows: First, according to sex, parents more encourage an autonomy in science studying to girl students than boy students. And according to selection course, parents more involve in science studying to the science course students than others. Second, considered on the relationship of parents' science educational involvement and science learning motivation. The more autonomous the students perceived their parents' science educational involvement, the higher their intrinsic motivation was. On the other hand, the lower their extrinsic motivation was. Third, considered on the relationship of parents' science educational involvement and science learning strategy. The more autonomous the students perceived their parents' science educational involvement, the more various cognitive strategies and meta-cognitive strategies used. And the more efficient resource managed. Finally, found strong correlation between parents' science educational involvement and science learning motivation. And science learning motivation explained use of science learning strategy meaningfully. Therefore, parents' science educational involvement has great influence on students' science learning motivation and science learning strategy. Judging from the above result, we can find that parent' science educational involvement for their child to have desirable science studying, positive learning motivation and use effective learning strategy is important. Therefore Parents' proper educational involvement is necessary for their child.
