다문화적 접근을 통한 아시아 민요 지도방안 연구

Abstract

다인종·다문화 사회로의 이행은 최근 한국사회가 경험하고 있는 급진적인 변화이다. ‘단일민족국가’라는 개념으로 한국문화를 인식해 왔던 한국인들은 국제결혼과 이주노동자의 급증과 그들의 자녀인 코시안(Korean-Asian: Kosian)이 비중 있는 집단으로 자리하게 되면서 다문화주의교육(Multicultural Education)이 교육적 대안으로 대두되었다. 본 연구는 한국에서 성장하면서 새로운 교육소외계층으로 등장하고 있는 코시안을 위한 다문화적 접근의 아시아민요 지도방안 연구를 목적으로 하였다. 연구의 내용은 코시안 현황과 교육환경을 고찰하고, 다문화주의 음악교육의 개념과 다문화주의가 반영된 음악과 교육과정을 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 한 아시아 민요 지도방안 연구로 구성되었다. 이 과정에서 현행 교과서의 아시아민요 수록곡을 분석하고 선행연구를 참고하여 다문화적인 아시아 민요 지도방안 모형을 제시했다. 지도방안의 학습대상은 2007년 개정된 교육과정의 내용체계에 적용할 수 있는 7학년이며, 국가는 여성 결혼 이민자의 출신국 비율을 고려하여 중국, 일본, 필리핀, 베트남의 민요로 선정하였다. 공교육 수업현장에서 적용가능성을 고려하여 1차시는 전체적인 아시아의 민요를 주제로 수업지도안 구성하였고 2차시는 교실 환경에 따라 아시아 국가별로 민요를 선정하여 지도안을 예시하였다. 예시한 수업지도방안은 코시안 학생이 있는 공립중학교를 대상으로 실제 적용하여 교육적 효과를 검증하지 못한 한계를 가진다. 기존의 코시안을 위한 교육 방안은 초등학교를 중심으로 연구되었으며, 언어적 어려움과 사회적응의 한계로 인해 주로 국어와 사회과에서 연구가 진행되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 음악교육을 통해 코시안의 문화정체성 함양과 그들을 이해할 수 있는 바른 시각을 기르는 수업방안을 제시하는 것에 의의가 있으며 연구자가 제안한 활동들의 효과를 검증하고 이를 바탕으로 타 과목과의 연계 수업을 적용하는 후속연구가 진행되기를 바란다. 또한 본 연구에서 제시한 7학년을 대상으로 한 아시아 민요 지도방안이 한국의 상황에 맞게 중학교 음악수업 현장에서 적절하게 수정되고 활용되기를 기대한다.;One of the rapid changes experienced by the Korean society in recent years is a movement towards a multiracial and multicultural society. Koreans, who have regarded their culture as that of a "racially homogeneous nation," have started to see multicultural education as a new educational alternative as there is a fast increase in international marriages and migrant workers and their children called Kosians have taken a critical presence in the society. This study set out to investigate the instruction plans of Asian folk songs from a multicultural approach for Kosians, who experienced a growth and appeared as a new group educationally alienated in Korea. The study reviewed the current situation and educational environment of Kosians, analyzed the concept of multicultural music education and the music curriculum where multiculturalism was reflected, and suggested some instruction plans for Asia's folk songs. In the process, the investigator also analyzed Asian folk songs contained in the current music textbooks and consulted previous studies, offering a multicultural model to teach Asian folk songs. The subjects were the students in the seventh grade, in which the instruction plans could be applied to the content system of the revised 2007 curriculum. Considering the percentage of nationalities of female marriage immigrants, China, the Philippine and Vietnam were selected. Taking into account the applicability to actual classes in public education, the first lesson included an instruction plan on the theme of the overall Asian folk songs. The second lesson presented them according to the countries. But those instruction plans have limitations since they were not applied to a public middle school where Kosian students were and proven for their educational effects. The previous educational plans for Kosians targeted elementary school and were usually based on Korean and Social Studies due to their difficulties with Korean and social adaptation. This study, however, suggested instruction plans to help Kosians enhance their cultural identity and Koreans have a right view to understand them through music education, where its significance lies. There will hopefully be follow-up studies to test the effects of the activities suggested in the study and connect them to other subjects. The instruction plans to teach seventh graders Asian folk songs are expected to be revised to be applicable to the music classes in middle school through a multicultural approach proper for the situations of Korea.
