음악교과와 사회교과를 통합한 서양 음악사 지도방안 개발

Abstract

문화는 인류의 존재와 시대를 함께하며 생성되고 발전해왔다. 음악은 인류가 스스로 창출한 문화유산 중 하나로서, 시대적, 사회적 상황과 영향을 주고 받으며 성장, 발전하였고, 인류는 음악을 다양한 형태로 항유하였다. 그 결과 음악은 우리의 삶과 공존하며 상당히 밀접하게 교류하면서 발전되었다. 그러므로 음악교육은 완성된 결과물로서의 음악 자체만을 위한 교육은 지양하고, 음악의 생성배경과 시대적 요구에 영향을 받았던 음악의 변화 과정을 고려하는 방법을 모색해야 한다. 제 7차 음악과 교육과정에서는 역사적, 사회적 상황과 조화를 이루었던 음악의 모습을 발견하고 음악과 사회의 역학관계를 이해하는 학습자를 양성하는 것을 추구한다. 사회 속에서 음악의 역할과 가치를 파악하고 음악을 생활화하기 위하여 음악 교과와 사회 교과의 통합이 요구되고 그 방법의 일환으로 서양 음악사를 사용할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 음악만을 교육하는 한정된 교육방법에서 벗어나 음악의 다양한 사회적 역할과 가치를 학습자들에게 진작시킬 수 있도록 음악교과 내용 중 서양 음악사를 사회교과와 통합하는 지도방안 개발에 그 목적을 둔다. 지도방안 개발에 앞서 이론적 배경에서는 통합에 관한 제반적인 사항들을 살펴보았고, 음악교과와 사회교과의 통합교육에 대한 고찰을 통해 두 교과의 연계성을 알아보았다. 그리고 이를 중심으로 음악교과서와 사회교과서를 분석하였다. 교과서 분석은 고등학교 2, 3학년 교과서를 대상으로 하였으며, 학생들의 선수학습능력을 고려하여 보다 밀도 있는 연구가 되고자 고등학교 1학년 교과서까지 분석 대상으로 포함하였다. 교과서 분석을 토대로 고전주의 음악과 당시의 사회적 배경이었던 계몽주의를 연관시켜 3차시에 걸친 지도방안을 개발하였고, 2차시의 학습지와 3차시의 형성평가를 통하여 학습자들의 이해도를 알아보고자 하였다. 또한 본 연구가 단순히 연구에만 머무르지 않기 위하여 20년 이상의 교직 경험을 가진 현직 교사 3인을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 이와 같이 본 연구는 음악교과와 사회교과의 통합교육을 통하여 우리가 살아가고 있는 사회와 음악의 밀접한 관련성을 제시하고자 하였다. 그리하여 학습자들로 하여금 음악교과의 중요성을 자연스럽게 인식시키고, 나아가 그들의 삶과 음악과의 관계를 조명해 볼 수 있는 안목을 키우는데 도움이 되고자 하였다. 이제 음악은 사회적 산물로서 이해되어야 하고, 음악교육은 이러한 관점을 반영해야 하는 필요성과 의무가 있기 때문이다. 따라서 음악교육은 사회적 맥락 속에서 음악을 이해하는 시도가 많아져야 할 것이며, 이를 위한 음악교과와 사회교과의 통합교육에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지기를 기대한다.;The culture has created and developed over time since existence of human beings. As one of cultural heritages which humans themselves created, the music has grown and developed by two-way influence under situations of periods and societies. Human beings enjoyed various types of music. As a result, the music has developed sharing with our lives and exchanging among our lives closely. Therefore, as a completed result, the music education should avoid the education for only music and should try to find the way to consider the origin of the music and the process of musical change, which is influenced by the needs of each period. In 7th music curriculum, the goals are to find the pattern of music which matched with historical and social conditions and to cultivate the ability of students to understand dynamic relationship between the music and society. In order to identify the roles and values of the music in the society and to live with the music, integration music class with social class is required, and for it, the history of western music can be used. Therefore, the purpose of this study is beyond restricted music instruction for only music and to develop instructional plans, which integrate the history of western music in content of music class with society class for encouraging students to learn various social roles and values of the music. Before developing instructional plans, this study examined several points related to the integration and then identified the link between such two classes through considering integrated education between music class and society class. In addition, based on this, analyzed music textbook and society textbook. The analysis of textbooks was the subject of music and society textbooks which ranged from the 2nd grade and 3rd grade, and this study considered pre-learning ability of students, it included music and society textbooks of the first grade as analysis subjects. Based on the analysis of such textbooks, this study linked classic music with illuminism which was the social background of classic music, and then developed instructional plans over three times. Also, this study tried to identify the degree of understanding of students using exercise books at 2nd class and formative estimation at 3rd class. In order to be beyond simple research, this study performed the survey with three current teachers, who had teaching experience more than 20 years. This study tried to present close relation between society we are living on and music through integrated education of music class and social class. Thus, making let students recognize naturally the importance of music subject, and furthermore try to help to have an eye for reconsidering the relationship their life and music. The music must be understood as the social outcome, and music education needs necessity which shall reflect this viewpoint and duty. Therefore, music education shall make many trying for understanding music in social connection, and I expect that the research about integrated education of music class and social class for this will be studied more.
