바로크(Baroque) 이미지를 활용한 인테리어 패브릭

Abstract

오늘날의 디자인은 인간의 감성과 사고에 따라서 일상생활에 깊은 영향을 미친다. 디자인의 상업적 요소 즉 부가장식의 개념으로 이해하던 디자인의 원초적인 인식에서 벗어나 모더니티 인식을 하게 된 것이다. 따라서 모더니티는 그 시대에 맞는 철학, 이념 사상 등을 말한다고 할 수 있으며, 디자인에 있어서 우리를 둘러싸고 있는 삶 속에 있는 것이라 파악 할 수 있다. 디자인은 항상 우리의 생활과 밀접한 관계를 맺고 있으며 서로 떼어 놓고는 생각할 수 없는 문제이다. 따라서 디자인의 개념 및 계기는 시대가 변하고 사람들의 사고 및 욕구가 변함에 따라 유동적으로 변한다. 가치관의 변화는 소비자들의 다양한 감성욕구를 자극하였으며, 감성을 충족시키지 못하는 디자인은 외면당하는 시대가 되었다. 이러한 시대적 배경 가운데 소비자들의 심미안(審美眼)과 감성을 자극하기 위한 분야가 텍스타일 디자인이라 할 수 있다. 텍스타일 디자인의 개발은 소비자들의 심리적 욕구를 만족시켜야 하며 나아가 국제사회시대에 따른 글로벌 마켓(Global arket)을 겨냥한 디자인으로써 선진국형 고부가가치 산업으로 발전시켜야한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 바로크 예술의 인스피레이션(inspiration)을 현재화시키고 모노(monotone)톤의 블랙과 화이트의 컬러 매치로 모던함과 시크함을 표현하였다. 실루엣의 크기변형과 질감의 차이로 투명, 불투명, 빛의 반사 등을 표현하기 위한 폴리우레탄 재료를 사용함으로써 새로움과 감성이 충족될 수 있는 패브릭 디자인을 제시하고자 다음과 같이 연구를 하였다. 첫째, 근대성’이나 ‘현대성’ 이라는 말로 번역될 수 있는 모더니티(modernity) 의 개념과 특징을 알아보고, 모더니티를 위한 시대적 디자인 요구를 고찰한다. 둘째, 바로크 시대의 예술양식과 장식미술의 특징에서 바로크 스타일이 현대인들에게 미치는 영향을 알아보자. 조형요소로서 한 형태를 표현하기 위해 바로크 장식미술의 본질적 리얼리티(Reality)디자인을 찾기 위해 모티브 실루엣을 사용하였다. 셋째, UV디지털프린팅(UV Digital Printing) 기법, 알기네이트호일(Alginatefoil)기법, 본딩(Bonding)기법, 스티치(Stitch)기법을 주 연구 소재가공기법으로 정하여 이론적 이해와 실제적 이해를 거친 후 각 기법이 표현 하고자 하는 테마에 맞게 적용 하였다. 이를 이용하여 총 13점의 작품을 실제 제작하였다. 이러한 연구 과정을 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시대의 흐름과 현대성의 모더니티를 통해서 디자이너와 소비자가 감성적 공감을 형성하는 디자인을 발견할 수 있었다. 둘째, 바로크 스타일이 중 생활에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 모티브를 정하고 이를실루엣 기법으로 재해석하여 디자인에 접목시킴으로써 실용성, 장식성, 독창성을 겸비한 디자인을 전개 할 수 있었다. 셋째, UV디지털 프린팅(UV Digital Printing) 기법, 알기네이트 호일(Alginatefoil)기법, 본딩(Bonding)기법, 스티치(Stitch)기법을 이용한 소량생산과 고품질의디자인을 연구․제시함으로서 실용성과 작품성을 모두 갖춘 고부가가치상품의 개발 가능성을 제시 할 수 있었다.;Designs nowadays greatly influence the daily lives according to humans' sensibility and thinking. Designs had gone beyond commercial elements, the basic conception of design as an additional decoration, to modern conception of understanding. Design is highly intimate with our daily lives and it is impossible to think design as a separated issue from the life. Therefore, the concept of design and motive for it changes as the people's perception and needs change. The change of perception has seduced the consumers' sensible desires, and not fulfilling this needs was resulted to an isolation. These backgrounds, consumers with varied needs and influence, there is a field that can both spur consumers' sensibility and an aesthetic sense: The Textile Design. The development of textile design ought to satisfy consumers' psychological needs and be thrived into a world-wide, global-standard, and highly-valued, targeting the global market. I, the researcher, have used achromatic color and modernized the baroque art inspiration. I have done the research on using silhouette's changing in size, transparency and reflection of lights to introduce a fabric design that both display the new and sensible aspects. First, understanding the modernity's characteristics and conceptions and reviewing the design desires for the modernity. Second, the artistic context and characteristic of baroque generation and the influence of it on our daily lives. Third, appliance of UV digital printing method, Alginate foil method, Bonding method, Stitch method into a theme as major methods creating the material for the study after the logical and actual understanding. Using these, I have created 15 works. These are the results of the research. First, discovering the design that created an understanding between the consumer and designer through the modernity and the stream of the period. Second, displaying the design with uniqueness, decorativeness, practical use, has been mixed with motivation from baroque style in daily lives and redefining it as silhouette method. Third, the researching and displaying of UV digital printing method, Alginate foil method, Bonding method, Stitch method as a design of small-production with practical use and artistic values, showing the possibility of highly-valued production.
