크로셰 기법의 꽃 이미지를 응용한 웨딩드레스 디자인

Abstract

패션은 인간의 자아를 표출하여 심미적 욕구를 충족시키는 중요한 수단으로 표현 방법에 따라 다양한 형태로 나타낸다. 웨딩드레스는 일반 패션과는 달리 보수적인 성향이 짙어 소재가 획일화되고 보편화 되어 왔으나 현대에 는 남과 다른 것을 원하는 신부의 기호와 감성에 맞게 개성을 표현할 수 있는 다양한 소재와 기법의 개발이 추구되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 웨딩드레스 디자인에 있어서 크로셰 기법의 독창적인 꽃 이미지 표현으로 수공예적 고부가가치를 갖는 웨딩드레스 디자인의 표현영역을 확대하고자 함에 있다. 본 연구에서는 꽃을 모티프로 선택하여 꽃의 형태를 조형적으로 구성하고 크로셰 기법의 꽃장식을 통하여 독특한 재질감을 표현한 웨딩드레스 디자인을 연구하였다. 연구의 내용 및 방법은 문헌을 통하여 웨딩드레스의 정의와 역사를 알아보고 현대의 웨딩드레스 디자인 경향을 국내, 국외 패션 정보지와 컬렉션자료, 인터넷 자료를 통해 디자인 요소인 스타일, 소재, 색채로 분류하여 분석하였다. 또한 디자인 장식요소의 하나인 꽃의 개념과 상징성을 알아보고 웨딩드레스에서 표현되는 꽃 이미지 표현기법과 응용된 사례를 국내외 문헌과 사진 자료들을 통하여 살펴보았으며, 크로셰의 개념과 역사, 표현기법 및 작품 사례를 국내외 문헌 고찰과 사진 자료들을 통하여 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 크로셰 기법을 응용한 웨딩드레스 디자인 작품을 8점 제작하였다. 작품의 소재는 현재 웨딩드레스에 많이 사용되어지고 있는 새틴과 샤르뫼즈, 타프타, 튤을 사용하였고 크로셰의 소재는 모헤어, 인모사, 실크사, 폴리에스테르사를 혼합하여 사용하였으며 색채는 White와 Ivory가 주를 이루었다. 크로셰의 기본 뜨기 기법을 응용하여 꽃 모티프를 제작하였고, 꽃의 형태를 입체적으로 구성하거나 꽃 모티프를 스티치 기법으로 서로 연결하여 조형미를 표현하였으며 비딩 기법을 활용해 화려함을 더해주었다. 이러한 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 꽃은 자연의 질서와 생동감을 표현할 수 있는 소재중의 하나로 우아한 자태로 완벽한 조형성을 내포하고 있어 부조적 디자인에 중요한 모티프이며 신부의 우아하고 아름다운 이미지와 잘 부합되어 웨딩드레스의 독창적인디자인 개발을 위한 장식 요소가 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 크로셰 기법은 꽃 모티프를 표현하는데 있어서 다양한 형태감을 부여하며, 입체적인 형태 표현이 자유로워 풍부한 표현력을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 일반적인 웨딩드레스 소재에 통일된 색채의 크로셰 소재가 접목되어 나타나는 질감 대비적 요소들이 극대화 되어 꽃의 형태미가 표현됨을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 크로셰의 작은 단위 형태의 모티프들을 스티치 기법으로 결합시켜 독특한 재질의 소재를 구성할 수 있어 레이스와 같이 섬세하고 비치는 재질 효과를 창출할 수 있었다 이상의 결과로 웨딩드레스 디자인에 있어서 독창적이고 수공예적인 소재 표현기법을 현대적 감각에 맞추어 개성 있는 소비자들의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있도록 고부가가치의 웨딩드레스 디자인이 심도 있게 연구 개발되어지길 기대한다. 또한 본 연구를 통하여 크로셰를 통한 니트 소재와 표현기법이 웨딩드레스의 영역으로 확대되는 계기가 되고 다양한 표현방법으로 지속적인 연구가 이루어지길 바란다.;Fashion is important method to satisfy aesthetic value of human being and shows various form according to its expression. The design of wedding dress has been relatively uniform and universalized, compared to other general fashion. In nowaday, we pursue various material and technique to express preference and susceptibility of bridal who want difference and speciality compare with other people. For content and methodology of this study, literature review was conducted to examine the concept and history of wedding dress. I analyzed the recent trend of wedding dress design through fashion journal, data from collection and internet. And find out concept and symbolism of flower by seaching example of floral decoration technique in wedding dress through literature and photo data. The purpose of this study is to enlarge expression area of wedding dress design which has high value-added with originative floral decoration made by crochet technique. Base on the above context, total eight pieces of wedding dress were produced. Sateen, charmeuse, taffeta and tulle was used as materials of wedding dress, and mohair, wool, silk and polyester fiber was used as materials of crochet. White and ivory was used as main color. Flower-expression motive was produced by basic crochet knitting applied technique, and represented beauty of organization through linked flower motive by stitch technique, and added luxury by applied bidding technique. Finding of this study were as follows : First, flower is one of materials which represent regularity and vividness of nature, and is important motive of design because of containing perfect formation, and can be decoration factor for creative design development correspond with beautiful image of bridal. Second, crochet technique gives special form sensitivity in expression of flower motive. This suggests that it has abundunt ability to express because of its free three-dimension expression. Third, defined contradistinctive factor with feel of materials maximized by grafting crochet matters of unificative colors on matters of general wedding dress can express formative beauty of flower. Fourth, delicate and see-through effect can be created by combining small unit motive of crochet using stitch technique, which can make characteristic materials. In sum, it is expected for further studies on high valued wedding dress design, to meet characteristic consumers desire expression technique of originative and handcraft material to be followed in-depth. Through this study, it is expected for chance of magnification knit materials and expression technique expand to wedding dress category, and for continuous studies with various presentation method.
