SCORM 기반 LMS에서의 이용도를 적용한 콘텐츠 검색 방법

Abstract

e-Learning 기술이 발달해 오면서 다양한 LMS(Learning Management System)가 생겨나게 되었다. 하지만 컨텐츠가 특정 LMS 사이에서는 같은 내용의 컨텐츠라 할지라도 재사용 될 수 없었고 각 LMS 에 맞게 재생성 해야 하는 경우가 많았다. 이러한 한계점으로 인해 많은 개발 비용이 낭비되었다. 이를 개선하기 위해서 여러 표준화 작업이 있었고 ADL(Advanced Distribute Learning)에서 여러 표준들의 장점을 통합하여 SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Model)이라는 이름의 구현참조 모델을 만들어서 컨텐츠 및 플랫폼에 일정한 기준을 세워줌으로써 이 기준에 의해 제작된 컨텐츠는 플랫폼에 구애를 받지 않고 재사용 및 공유가 가능하도록 도와주며 플랫폼간 연동이 쉽게 이루어 지게 하는 역할을 하게 되었다. 이렇게 SCORM을 기반으로 교육용 콘텐츠들이 전 세계적으로 공유될 수 있다면 그 수많은 콘텐츠들 중에서 사용자가 원하는 콘텐츠에 쉽고 빠르게 접근 할 수 있는 방법이 중요해 졌다. SCORM은 콘텐츠에 대한 메타 데이터를 표준에 명시하고 있어서 이 메타데이터를 기반으로 검색을 할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 하지만 메타 데이터를 이용한 검색을 하더라도 수많은 콘텐츠 들이 검색이 된다면 이용자들은 결과 내에서 재검색을 하기 위해 많은 시간을 들여야 하게 되는 문제가 생기게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자가 SCORM기반 LMS상의 수많은 교육용 콘텐츠들을 검색할 때 신회도 있고 원하는 랭킹을 매겨서 검색시 우선순위로 검색결과에 나타내어 주는 검색 시스템을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 사용자는 많은 사람들이 이용하고 최근까지 이용하고 오랜시간 이용한 시뢰도 있는 콘텐츠에 더 빠른 시간에 접근 할 수 있게 된다.;As e-Learmimg technelogies have been developed, many different kind of LMS(Learning Management System)s have been made. However, educational contents depend on the LMS and contents Couldn't be used through different LMSs. It caused a lot of waste. To solve this problem ADL and combined and unified the specification for contents and the infrastructure. SCORM include specifications for contents metadata which can be used for contents searching. However, if there are too many contents which are searched by meta-data keyword, it may take long time for users to find out the contents which they want. Therefore in this paper new searching method using users' usage information is proposed. In this system users' log information is tracked and is used to get statistical data, such as number of user, time spent and so on, for every month. With usage algorithm usage value will be get form these data sets. Finally, when a learner try to search contents, system will return search results in an usage value order so user can get reach more reliable contents more in front. This searching will make contents searching more easily and quickly.
