효율적인 시조 수업을 위한 중학교 1학년 음악 교과서 분석

Abstract

제7차 음악과 교육과정에서는 21세기의 정보화, 세계화, 다양화 시대 속에서 우리의 음악 문화를 창조하고 이끌어 가기 위해 전통음악 교육을 강조하였다. 이에 지금까지와는 다른 전통음악의 다양한 제재들이 이해와 활동 영역에 제시되어 있는데 중학교 1학년의 시조가 그 중 하나이다. 시조에 관한 논문을 분석한 결과 시조와 관련된 논문이 많지 않으며 대부분의 논문들이 시조의 이론적인 고찰과 함께 단계적인 지도 방안만을 개발하였다. 또한 현장에 적용한 실험 논문은 연구 대상이 초등학교에 집중되어 있고 시조가 감상곡으로만 다뤄지고 있어 가창곡으로 교과서에 실릴 것을 주장하고 있으며 중학교 음악 교과서에서 가창곡으로의 시조 게재 횟수는 늘어가고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 교육자들이 실제 교육 현장에서 사용할 수 있는 가창곡으로의 시조 수업 지도안을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 방법은 시조 수업 지도안 개발의 이론적 근거로 제1차～제7차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 음악 교과서에 시조가 어떠한 내용과 활동으로 서술되었는지 알아보았다. 제1차～제7차 교육과정의 교과서 중 시조의 내용과 활동 영역을 분석한 결과 교육과정을 거치는 동안 시조의 이론적인 내용만을 다루던 것에서 벗어나 시조를 하나의 감상 또는 가창의 제재곡으로 다룬 횟수가 증가하였다. 또 제7차 교육과정에 의한 9권의 중학교 1학년 음악 교과서 중 시조 단원을 시조의 곡명과 제시된 활동 영역, 학습목표, 시조 악보의 조성, 박자, 음역, 가사의 모음 변화, 장단, 숨표의 위치, 가락, 빠르기, 시김새, 이해 영역의 내용, 교사용 지도서 내용 등 12개 항목으로 비교?분석하고 이를 바탕으로 시조의 수업 지도안을 개발하였다.;The education of Korean traditional music was emphasized in the 7th National Music Education Curriculum for the purpose of creating and leading our unique musical culture in an era of information and globalization. A lot of themes were suggested in the areas of music appreciative and singing activities, and Sijo education is one of them. Sijo, one of the Korean traditional vocal music types, has become an exclusive one reserved only for the professionals. Since the middle school education is a general one, the Sijo education(singing and appreciation) for the students at their level is not a difficult one. Sijo which has been dealt in the textbooks usually for the appreciative activities are now presented for the singing activities as well. For this study, I researched all the textbooks of the National Music Curriculum from the 1st to the 7th and devised a curriculum for students to study Sijo as singing activity. Since the 1st Music Curriculum, the Sijo education has transformed from the one mainly focused on the theories to the one for understanding, appreciation, and singing. Among the 7th textbooks for the first grade middle school students, six listed Sijo for the appreciative part, two for the singing part, indicating a still existing emphasis on the appreciation and understanding of Sijo, in fact, a vocal type. Moreover, many textbooks use music notes and motifs that are difficult to comprehend for the capacity of the middle school students. In conclusion, Sijo can be taught with ease if it is presented in a simple and comprehensible format in the textbooks and the music teachers in the middle schools become interested in lecturing it. Since the 7th National Music Curriculum contains Sijo and each textbook deals with it, a more accurate presentation is required. Thus, the writers of each textbooks should homogenize the marking of motifs through mutual agreement and use the accurate music notes. To this purpose, the Korean traditional music circle ultimately should unify their efforts and devise curriculums that are easy to lecture for the teachers and easy to comprehend for the students. Furthermore, out of this study, I found out that for the maximum effects in the classrooms, Sijo education should be conducted for the appreciative and singing activities, not with a focus on one area.
